3/20/13 All mailed but 2. Awaiting postage.
3/13 Well ladies, I am still waiting on 1 more.
Life has also thrown me a curveball. My oldest daughter's MIL and FIL are having health issues. The FIL fell yesterday and shattered his hip and had to have total hip replacment surgery done today. He came through surgery, but has all kinds of health problems including diabetes. The MIL is having a cardiac cath in the morning. We are going to have to watch the children for several days for my daughter so she can be there for them.
I do not know when I am going to be able to swap this out. I am suppose to work 4 of the next 5 days, but will probably not be able to. I was hoping the last package would be here today, but it did not come. Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know that I will swap this out as soon as I can.
I will notify those who did not send postage how much they owe me....I paid for alot of the postage in a swap recently as I do not mind, but I can not do that this time. So I will hold onto them until I receive postage.

Since so many are doing Project Life I thought this maybe a way to get some Filler Cards to add to your current book. Filler cards are cards without journaling room or room for a picture. On the weeks where you do not have alot of pictures or journaling these cards will just be used to fill-in the gaps.
These should be fairly general and could be use in a variety of situations.
Guidelines:
1. These filler cards need to be 3x4 or 4x3 I am going to leave it up to you as to the orientation. Please make the actual size 2 7/8 x 4 or 4 x 2 7/8.
2. These will be embellished at least3 times. Please use flatter type embellies like inking, stamping, washi tape, tags, twine, wood veneer, die cuts, doilies, sewing, border dies cuts...NOTHING thicker than the wood veneers. Use 3 different embellies per block.
3. Filler cards some have sayings on them. Others are just a decorated card.
4. ALL corners will be rounded (reason the original blocks are rounded).
5. You will make 12 and get back 12.

Please mailed to me by the due date of March 9, 2013. Please include postage for the ride home to you....send as much as it cost you to send to me. Please send stamps or money. My post office does not take metered strips (he told me he would be fired if he did). I will send back any postage/money not used.
PLEASE, PLEASE place each group of items in a Ziploc bag and LABEL them with your name, the Swap name, and Group number.

I noticed you had a link to a Pinterest board for Project Life filler cards, and thought, "Oh, someone else has a board like that?!" -- and then I giggled when I saw it was mine! I am intrigued by this swap. Right now I don't have time to commit, as I will be out of town Feb. 22 to March 10, but I will watch for the next one you do.

Edited to add: I also have filler cards for Christmas in my "December Daily ideas" board, and travel/vacation-themed ones in a separate board for that theme. There's also some toward the bottom of my "Project Life - photo, journaling and design ideas" board, which was my original catch-all. Anyhow -- just thought I'd add that. Best wishes on the swap! |
