I haven't posted here in a while (I took a long break from scrapbooking), but I wanted to share my small scrapbook space with minimal supplies, in case anyone is looking for ideas on drastically downsizing:

my scrapbook space

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for sharing! I recently moved to a much smaller home and lost my scraproom and am struggling to figure out what to do with the small corner I now have for my scrapping stuff. I need to get rid of a lot and really figure out what works for me.

very nice! I read the other post linked, too.

Mundane incidents were hailed as groundbreaking scrapbook topics. Candid photos contained perfectly posed and color-coordinated children.

and the part about a comic sans boycott... My son hates that font. (I handwrite so his comment is nothing to do with me. )

Blinded by glitter and impaired by glue fumes, I stumbled through the maze of ribbons and cloud of chalk dust, dazed and confused.

Several months later, I woke up with a rub-on tattoo and no recollection of why I had 54 albums dedicated to my daughter's first year.

I lost 400 sq. ft. of studio space and am now in 200 sq. ft. and have really, REALLY struggled to be in a tiny spot after enjoying 600 sq. ft. for the past decade. I am going to dig through your tips and see what I can use!!

I did buy a Workbox and LOVE that thing and it took a LOT of things and still has open slots, but it is not 400 sq. ft. worth space!

Really glad to have your insights!!

Welcome back and thanks for sharing! I had to downsize my office a few months ago and need to cull some things to fit in my smaller space better.

Congratulations, it looks great!!

I have also recently moved so I know where you are coming from. I got rid of about half of my stuff when it was being packed and a half of the remaining half when it was being unpacked and put away. I kept most of my paper but got rid of about 80% of my tools, gadgets and embellishments because that is not how I scrap.

It is so freeing and I am so much more creative now!

I don't want to downsize quite that much, but I really need to do the "shop from my stash" approach - my style has evolved and I know I have a ton of stuff I won't use now!

Your space looks beautiful!

Wow, thanks so much for sharing, I am at a similar crossroads and am still downsizing and purging so I can actually scrap on a more regular basis. Very inspiring!!

I read the blog and looked at the photos and all I can say is WOW!!! OP, I love what you've done, and the reasoing behind it.

I am in the process of downsizing myself. I have a decent sized space of my own but the stuff gets out of control. And you follow the trends, buy the 'latest and greatest' and trying to keep up with everyone else.

I just recently went through my rubber stamps and will be listing a lot for sale very soon. I've also decided to quit teaching, so have LOTS of class supplies (mostly Ranger goodies) that I'll be listing very soon, super cheap.

I've tried a lot of things, Project 365 among them. I've found that I like it ALL! LOL My kids liked the P365 albums the best, so I am trying to scrap more in the style of P365 and Simple Stories...I can't do it exclusively, because I love 12x12, and I get bored so I like to switch things up LOL

I've downsized paper wise- I have three Art Bin satchels of paper- one card stock, one patterned paper, and one that has stuff that I matched up when I bought it (PP & CS matched together). I also use my Sil SD a LOT more, so I'm not buying dies and stuff as much. Ive actually considered selling my nesties but can't pull the trigger yet!

Thank you for sharing your post. I see myself in it. I haven't scrapped in about 2 1/2 years because I've been in school. My scrap "area" is a complete mess, and I feel crippled when I try to clean it up. Obviously, I have too much - more than I could use over several years - but I am so attached to the supplies. I also feel guilt over the money I've wasted when I think about giving it away. I like your advice, and am going to try my best to downsize too. Maybe then I will feel like scrapping again.
