I only work part-time. $400 is one of my paychecks. Nope, I am not ever going to qualify for 15%.

I don't even know know how somebody could spend 5,000 on scrapbook supplies a year. You'd be buying EVERY SINGLE THING THEY HAVE IN THE STORE.

when I do spend $400 a month on scrapbooking, it isn't all at 2peas. I like deals and free shipping. :>

This is a bummer for the frequent shopper of Peas. It won't affect me any, as I rarely ever shop here.

I just want to shop, I don't want free classes, videos, or any of the rest. I am looking for good prices and good customer service which 2peas provides. I don't want to go through the time learning how to upload my projects or taking the time to do so, doing challenges just to earn points and doing things I may not really want to do or isn't a priority just to hang onto a 5% discount.
For some reason though their shipping charges are higher international which makes them non competitive with other companies for me so I will end up sooner rather than later losing my 5% discount.

On the other hand, I think 2peas must have been losing money and just can't afford their old loyalty program. If 2peas were to close it would break my heart and feel like the end of scrapbooking.

But, I'm with you- this made me look at how much I spent here last year and my wallet and husband will thank 2Ps. So will Archivers and my kitclub (who often sent me the same papers I had just bought here). I am sure I will still buy classes and individual papers here but my regular spending here will go down significantly.

---

This. I started getting the 10% discount last month. When I found I had earned the discount part of me was "yay!" but more of me was "OMG I can't believe I spent that much on paper and stickers". I bought more since getting the discount than I would have otherwise, especially coming right out of the spendy holiday season.

One of my resolutions for this year is to simplify and use what we have (in everything, not just scrapbooking!), so losing this discount at 2Ps is really just going to help me stick to that. Hopefully I'll re-discover all the goodies I have in my stash and they will see the light of day... or rather, the insides of my albums.

I regularly spent $400 a month on scrap supplies last year, sometimes more. But NO WAY could it be in physical product. Most of the time it was expensive tools like digi stamp sets from small companies, or the month that I bought my coloured pencils. I'm certainly not spending it on paper and stuff. I couldn't. That's a LOT of paper goods to try and use, even for one month, let alone trying to keep that up for an entire year.

I was never able to spend enough here to earn a discount; for sure I never will be now.

ETA: I somehow have 2,905 points after being here since '04... but the threshold is still 7,500 so that hardly matters.

I take offense to the suggestion that you'll earn points for logging in from the app. Last I checked, twopeas is still iphone only, and that excludes a lot of android people, and a few windows ones. Considering Joann's, Micheal's, and A.C. Moore have all made sure that I have access to their app as an Android user, I have to admit I feel more valued by them. In fact, every major site that I use (Target, Swagbucks, Amazon) has an app for Android users.

But then again, as a user with only 750 measly points, I'm pretty sure my opinion doesn't matter.

I'm another one that has no dog in this fight since I have never even come remotely close to qualifying for the loyalty discount. I really hope Two Peas is able to fix this in such a fashion to keep the loyalty discount customers happy. There aren't many reasons to shop here as opposed to other online stores so twerking off your most loyal customers doesn't make much sense.

And on a related note, I don't have a smart phone so giving extra points for logging in from an app doesn't so much reward people as much punish those of us who use computers.

It seems to me that if Two Peas wanted to do away with the loyalty program they would have been better off to just do so and tell their customers why. Everyone can understand that is is harder than ever for businesses to turn a profit and that sustaining too many orders at a discount may have become unfeasible. Playing around and making the levels so high that no one can attain them is just kind of a slap in the face.

Yeah, I'm a little confused. When I first checked a day or so ago, I had 7 thousand something, then it went to 8 thousand something, and today I'm at 13 thousand something.

I have seen several posts today of peas who got an email saying something like "since you are a loyal customer, we are awarding you 5000 additional points". Unfortunately, I am not one of them...

Camanddanismom- me either. I did squeak into the 5% off bracket today, but it's really disheartening to see I'll have to earn double my current point total just to get that same 5% and special notice for sales. And I'll have to double *that* to get the same discount level I was at 2 weeks ago.

I had been at the 15% discount for almost 3 years and I am a prolific scrap collector and scraper. That being said, the new 15% levels would require me to more than quadruple my 2 Peas spending. Not going to happen! Quite frankly, I don't think there is enough product in stock that I like or would buy to get me to that level.

I've been trying out earning points on the message boards today, but it feels like work. Not that I don't like spending time on the boards, but it is time consuming. So, this isn't a viable way for me to earn points. After spending 6+ hours on the boards while watching football, I didn't get to use my free time to scrap. Having time to scrap and using supplies I buy is really the goal, isn't it?

At least now that I got a pleasant suprise I can see myself reaching a new level but I that may become a moot point because of the expensive shipping.

As an international also.... I have always lusted over the products in the store, but never submitted an order due to the exorbitant prices for shipping. The 15% discount is a joke! $5000 in a year? In fact I would struggle to even get to half of that in a year for my scrappy bill........and thats with buying products to teach classes each week to a group of 6-8 ladies.

I will not be able to afford to shop here. Intend to shop at an opposition store, who has less selection, but offers free shipping after you have reached a threshold. Coupled with a friend or two the $350 free shipping threshold is not too bad. It's a pity, cause I would love to shop here and buy my papers individually and all the embellies to go with the collection.

I am angry about this change in the loyalty program.

I went from a 15% discount to a 5% discount with no notice. For the last several years my online shopping has been EXCLUSIVELY at Two Peas, mainly because of the loyalty program.

I will now be exploring other sites. I plan on spending a great deal of money on the 2013 CHA releases, which would have been spent here. 5% is not an incentive to me to me a loyal customer.

As far as I'm concerned...2Peas basically eliminated the discount program. I don't understand why they just aren't upfront about it, rather than making unattainable goals for something we already had.

For the first time, I have placed an online order with another company...I have always shopped exclusively at 2Peas, mostly for the discount. I received 20% off my order at the store I purchased from and the shipping to Canada was the same price as it is here.

Sorry 2Peas...but you have made a big mistake.

I've never shopped here enough to earn a discount before. Now there's definitely no way I'd ever spend that kind of money. That's just insane! I shop at another site where you get points for leaving reviews, shopping, browsing through their store and finding the "piece of fruit" that you click on to get points (which makes browsing more fun), etc. and have gotten the $5 off a few times there. But they don't go by a dollar amount that you spend but rather the different items are worth so many points instead. So it's easier to get to the points for a discount. You get $5 off after you reach 1,000 points. Or you can continue saving up your points and get $10, etc.

I agree, 15% isn't that much. I wouldn't care if it was 90% off. No way would I spend the amount of money required to even reach that "incentive". (ha!)

I love 2peas for the message board(s), and free classes mostly. I'll still shop here from time to time like I always have, but I never have and never will strive to get a measly 5%, 15% or whatever. I just checked my points here. I've had 502 points forever it seems. I've only posted maybe 4 or 5 times in the past day and have 507 points now. So I'm "guessing" that you get a point every time you post on the boards?? Either way, I'm certainly not "that" chatty to even reach the 5%

I agree, 2Peas has pretty much done away with a discount program, why not just say that instead of making it so you have to spend an insane amount of money to get a discount?? I can't even fathom spending $400 a month on scrapping supplies unless someone had a serious shopping addiction / hoarding problem or a booming scrapping business where they sold their scrappy wares on Etsy or something that would make up for that kind of money spent. Unbelievable...
