happy saturday! so, i use to do activities in a nursing home and one of my favorite Residents is turning 100 on the 21st. Even though I no longer work there, I am very close with her and her family. So, I was thinking about making her a mini album called: 100 reasons i love you!
I don't have a lot of time to do this (i haven't been putting it off, had a career change and death in the family so it's been so crazy for a month). I have no idea what kind of album or journal to do. do you think i could just get like a cute diary/journal and alter the outside and write the reasons or should i try and make a nice mini?
I'm really stuck and would appreciate any advice!
Thanks! |

I think this is one of those times where ... really ... it is the thought that counts (most)!
But I'd suggest you keep it small and manageable -- if you do one reason per page, you are going to end up pretty bulky.

Hi sorry that this past month has not been all good. With not many days to go I would maybe look at a Smash book or something and you could use photos and quotes etc to make up the 100 reasons

Get a large smashbook. I got one and can imagine doing the project you are talking about. You can add like flipping pages (what's the usual term for that?) to get more paper in there to fit your 100 reasons. There are also folders in there so you have plenty of space to add. This way it's all bound and everything. And almost half of it is done for you!
I bought the pink one and I bought an Amy tangerine 12x12 paper pack. The colors are matching well! Check it out!

What a very nice thing to do. I'm sure her family will love it no matter what. |

Thank you TeamSteve! I am pretty much a part of that family! And I love them so much!
I love that book on etsy...think I may get one for a vday gift for boyfriend!
I went and got the recollections version of the smash book with a bunch of accessories! very pretty yet fun and funky (even though this lady will be 100 she is very hip and up to date. she loves Bazaar and Marie Claire magazine and nicki manaj...yes, she knows who she is. she refers to the musician with the boobs and hips)! |

What a fantastic endeavour! I just wanted to add some ideas:
You can add a small envelope or coin envelope (at the dollar store) to the pages to add more spaces to put reasons or memorabilia.
If she has kept any greeting cards that were special to her over the years, you can put them in the book too it they might service one of the reasons too. |
