The crop is being held 2 hours away. I was going to attend with my mom and stay at her house. But a winter storm blew through and I am snowed in at home. I am so bummed.....really needed a weekend away.  |

Sorry, that's awful. I would pull out all my stuff and scrap all weekend. I like scrapping during snowy days. . Better to stay home and be safe | |

I go away with my sisters twice a year...and I know I would be bummed
if I had to miss one...especially because of weather. Doesn't mother nature know about what is important????

Thanks everyone...only fellow scrappers "get" it.
This was a Fri-Sun event. Weekends are always so busy with my boys playing basketball so I was super happy to not have a game this weekend. But the big snow storm had other plans. I never seem to get much scrapbooking done at home these days hence why I was looking forward to the weekend crop. Next time! |

Hopefully you can dig yourself out and get yourself there on Saturday.
Last year my cousin and I planned to meet up about an hour away for each of us, and a big snowstorm was blowing through that morning. So there I am shovelling out my car and determined to get there.
I know I am going to be late so I go in and try to call my cousin on her cell; no answer. So I call her DH; wake him up. I ask what time my cousin left. He said she was asleep. Can you believe she never even thought to call me and tell me she couldn't make it out? And there's me, knee deep in snow, trying to back out of the driveway.
So most people I guess would know that they need to just stay in, but I'm always the one out there trying to figure out a way to get where I want to be. |

So sorry you had to miss your crop! I would be so bummed out
I know when I go crops I get so much more completed, than trying to scrap at home! Too many interruptions. Even if I tell my family I am scrapping all day, they still need this or that and expect me to drop everything!!
I hope you can plan another crop getaway soon! Many times I have thought about renting a hotel room and taking all my stuff and having my own little personal retreat  Maybe you and your mom can plan something like that soon.
I don't live in snow country so I never have to cancel plans due to snow. But I do live where we get big storms that take out the power for days!! |
