I'm ok with it. I like having the option from some favorite mfg's. I'm {trying} to not buy a kit this year and just make my own from my stash.

This is my first year to do PL and I love all the options available from the different manufacturers. The flexibility of selecting and mixing up the collections according to what's going on in my life makes it easy to plan my pages.

I'm anti-grid and getting more so -- and I really don't like the divided page protector look.

I do like the journaling cards, though, and buying them as a sheet is cheaper. So that's okay, I guess.

I think the overabundance of PL products is turning me off from PL itself. I thought the idea of it was simplicity, either by using BH products or using up your stash. Turns out it's an excuse to buy more and more stuff even though many inevitably burn out on the project by March.
And I agree with whomever said the lack of creativity is there too. How many times do we need to see "documented" or "love this!" or "good day" ?? And the obscene amount of PL stamps is overwhelming, and yet the regular stamp releases are lacking, IMO. So yeah, I can't wait for PL to die down. And no, I don't hate the concept, I love it (though it's not for me). I just hate how manus jumped on the bandwagon at the expense of traditional scrapbooking products. =/

I think now that the PL style scrapping has become so popular it would be a miss if other brands didn't start carrying products that could be used for PL. but those PL products are versatile enough to use in traditional scrapping. So it is kind of the best of both worlds. If a traditional scrapper likes a collection, they will buy it....if a project lifer likes a collection, now there are more cut apart pieces for her. It all about offering what's popular to get more of our hard earned dollars in a tough economy. They are in business to make a profit, just like every other business.

I am a project lifer. That's why I am taking so many pictures.....

I don't do PL per say, but I am thinking about using that style of scrapping to get a lot of older pictures scrapped-saw that idea on the GS board and liked it a lot. I am usually much more inspired by my newest pictures for regular scrapping... we'll see!

Well I'm using the core kit a lot. I love to have a specific place for journaling, specially cards. So finding all those cards is making me vey happy.

Loved doing PL last year and because I want to continue making cards with my own stash, it's nice to have more pre-made cards to choose from every now and then, without having to commit to such a large quantity of the same design cards.

I don't do PL but I still like the bits and pieces of it. They are great to use on regular layouts and mini albums too.

I misunderstood the poster who said she saw a lack of creativity - she meant in product design (I'm pretty sure) and I agree. I guess that is why I am drawn more to blank or very simple products and then lots of my own embellishments, stamps, etc. I agree with a previous poster who said they were sick of so many "love this!" and "best day ever" types of sayings.

I just started this year and I really love it. My only problem is keeping up with the pictures because I don't print at home. I think I'll plan and make the pages and print the pics once a month.

These products are not just for PL. Scrapping with divided PPs is easier for me. I love seeing more products targeted for divided PPs.
