Kim, if you check out Alone's post above, they don't seem to be going anywhere!

I think you're fine with your hexagons!

I never really got into the hexagon trend. I had a few papers and a couple hex embellishments but it wasn't something I actively collected so it doesn't really affect me that it's fading out.

I like other people's layouts with them but haven't found my hexagon groove unfortunately, maybe if I had a die cut

Sad to see it go! I love hexagons and will use it on my pages. I don't like to use the same shape over and over again continuously, so most likely my hexs are keepers for long time scrapbooking. Not like a trend-thing.

Kinda sad. I didn't really get into it yet. I'm always behind the times. Seems like a good generic trend though. I don't mind using something that is "old hat" though so no worries.

I really enjoyed when Amber from Life in Color used hexagons (way before they were a trend), but I really didn't see much in the way of product that excited me once the trend was here :/

I love hexagons and will continue to use them out of my stash. It's like every trend, it'll come back around again and who will know in 10-15 years which Scrapbook Period the pages were made in. Hexagons were popular when I started scrapping in the late 90s, and they'll come back again... just like vellum, feathers -- I had those in a couple of kits a few years ago, shaker boxes (think sequins and confetti in vellum pockets), etc.

Sad, I'm really liking the hexagons - although I haven't worked with them that much yet so the novelty is still there for me

What?? I haven't even used my hexie dies yet! They must stay!

Lol! That's how I feel! I still have hexagon paper I bought last year that I haven't even touched. I frantically searched for a hex punch and was able to buy one but didn't use it until just now.

For all you hexagon fans, I finished my hexagon layout:

bee keeping

There's a 8.5 x 11 sketch and the original layout I lifted included in my project post. Also, if you have the hexagon dies, punches, chipboard or even stamps and patterned paper, take a look - it would be easy to lift.

Thanks! Feel free to link up your hexagon projects too!

I saw tons of them at CHA so I don't think they will be going away!

I adore them so I am very excited there are some awesome new products to be had. I'll try to post some pics when I get home tonight!

ETA: sorry I'm such a dingbat! I didn't realize there were two more pages of hex talk. I'm still getting used to the mobile app.

I'm still loving the hexagons and will keep on using them. I like trends/fads in scrapbooking because it introduces new ideas and also makes it SO MUCH EASIER to find the supplies/tools that you need, but I'm with those who are saying "scrap what you like/love." There are tons of trendy styles and techniques out there that I'll never go for because they're simply not my preference.

I just finished the January issue of ST, and there were lots of hexes throughout! I think they have some staying power.

I for one will continue to use them. While I have used my original cm punch here and there over the years, I have honestly just become comfortable with really using them since they hit fad status last year!

Are they disappearing? I was just wondering if there were any nesting hexagon dies...
