Just curious...how many people use the Valentine's lines to scrap Valentine's Day photos? There are so many beautiful Valentine's lines out there but I know I've never really taken photos of Valentine's Day. Do you use them more for cards? Project life?

I use them to scrap my little DGD and also to make cards.

My kids have always had a Valentines photo shoot.
Plus they usually have several valentines outfits each, so I take pics of them in those.
And then of course there are class valentines parties, pics of presents I get from DH, cards I get from my kids.
I always have tons of valentines stuff to scrap.

I skip them

Red is my favorite accent color, so I use them for the red colors. B sides of valentine lines tend to be more neutral in design.

We use them to make cards for my ds's class. And I usually make a Things I Love layout each February using Valentines supplies. This year we are usually Fourteen.

I don't really use them for valentines, but most are great for using on layouts of my daughter or maybe date night?

I wondered this too, I don't take pictures for Valentines Day so I was wondering how to use the cute new papers with out it being a Valentine layout.
Is this an instrument of torture or communication?

I use them for general love layouts for my daughters/family.

I skip them. We don't take valentine pictures and my kids are older so I can't even do a layout about them handing them out.

Great thread! I purchased the Fourteen collection and see a lot of versatility in the papers that aren't specifically Valentine's Day related. I am always looking at things like that in terms of paper with specific themes. I tend to watch for the B side of the papers to make sure that I won't be stuck with only a themed paper. It happens though. I like the "thing I love" idea!!

Things I love...great idea! I was thinking little girl layouts too. THANKS!
|Posted: 1/14/2013 6:11:35 AM|Things I Love layouts, cards, gifts for friends, anything that requires a heart works well with Valentine lines. Anniversaries, wedding, engagement, etc. all work well with these collections.

I send about 20 Valentine's every year. It's fun to get mail.
I send St. Patricks cards too!

I use them often when scrapping pictures of my daughters from when they were little. Pink and little girls and love just go together!!!

I don't buy them. I usually buy a few embellishments to make a few cards but that is about it. I don't take pics so nothing to scrap. I have never thought about doing a things I love page though...hmmm.

I love using Valentine's papers for cards, not necessarily Valentine's cards but any you would like to express love and hearts and flowers.
For pages I use them for anything I'd like. I try not to get stuck on the theme if the paper goes with my photos and the story I want to tell I use it.

I always like them but end up only using a small portion of what I buy. I don't know if I'll be buying some this year unless I really feel like I can get some longevity out of it, maybe with the B sides.

Mainly for cards.

|Posted: 1/14/2013 10:19:14 AM|I buy very little (though I couldn't resist a few sheets of Fourteen) and use them on layouts about dh and ds, regardless of the season. I also make cards for them. We each have a mini mailbox that comes out at the beginning of Feb. and we leave each other little cards, candy kisses, etc. I don't often do "cute" but this is cute.

Banners and cards! Also goodie bag toppers for DD's preschool classmates.
|Posted: 1/14/2013 12:34:47 PM|Oooh, great idea about the 'Things I Love' LO!
Great idea for a thread, though, as I've also been thinking about what people do with these lines. I'm thinking of picking out my favourite and then wait until after Valentine's when they go on sale and buying a collection pack for my stash. I love B-side paper patterns.

I mix them in with other papers on layouts. But my friends and I usually do something thats non-couple friendly for Valentine's Day, so I usually have at least one layout thats mostly VDay themed.
This year we are going out to Shoguns for Hibachi then seeing Die Hard 5. Doens't get less Valentine's than blowing stuff up!. lol

I actually use them in my regular scrapbooking - mixing and matching with more non traditional colors. I think I only have 3 lines though - BG Blush, an older KI Memories & a line from Fancy Pants - the last 1 I bought to scraplift a project I saw in the gallery. I am buying CP Fourteen because the colors mesh well with Pretty Party and I think will go nicely with the Maggie Holmes line. Also picking up BG new VD line to mix with Blush.

|Posted: 1/14/2013 4:56:15 PM|I used Valentine's paper for a layout called "Bibliophilism", about my passion for books, and one called "Happiness is Sugar-Coated" about my fondness for sweets (that one is in my gallery here). I have quite a stash, though, so clearly I need to do more love-themed layouts! I think it would work well on layouts about weddings, anniversaries, etc., as well as things/places you love, even layouts about your kids or pets -- just anything love-focused. Oh, and this past year was the first time I'd ever scrapped about Valentine's Day -- I've never been an "events" scrapper, so I've enjoyed documenting all the big holidays in my Project Life albums.

I just used valentine paper on a layout about Blessing of the Pets at my church. My daughter took her pet snail to get blessed. She loves that snail!

We don't celebrate Valentines day in Australia like you do in the US so all the valentines crafts are unrelated to me but I have made a layout or two with valentines lines and last year I sent out some cards to my friends. I will often buy bits and pieces from Valentine lines and use them on non valentine layouts, some of the patterns and colours are rather versatile.

I love hearts so unless they SAY Happy Valentine's Day I can use them for anything. But then, I DO make Valentines and a lot of love cards.

Mainly cards and mini books, sometimes projects other than scrapbooking (boxes and notebook covers, for example).
