It was wonderful to see all of the photos submitted to the first week of the 2013 weekly challenge. It is especially refereshing to see others' views on the same theme.

I am looking forward to challenging myself with week 2, as well as seeing your unique interpretation of this challenge.

The ground rules...

1. Each week will be assigned a theme.
Themes will be announced each Friday.

2. Post your submission(s) to each week's thread by the following Thursday. (Don't worry if you're late, you can still post.)

3. If you would like CC, please re-post the photo in a new thread.

That is a challenging one and I will give it some considerable thought.

Great take on Communication. So simple and clean. I am going to play around tomorrow and see what I can come up with. . .

Cindy, you need to click on the word Image below the posting box and insert your link in what pops up to have your image show up in your post. You can't post a direct link to a photo or a web page. Hope that helps. Also, copy the "direct link" in your Photobucket options. That's the correct link to use here.

Not at all what I had planned on, but when I saw them, I couldn't resist!

Might be back later with my original plan, but that one involves wrangling kids. . . may take a while!

I think this them was quite a challenge. Did i stump everyone? Where are all the entries? Oh wait, mine's not here either. LOL

Yeah, this was a tough one. I will post mine shrtly, I have the idea now I just have to take it.

I LOVE, LOVE the shot with the doggie and the ball. Awesome capture. It's like he's trying to communicate with that ball telepathically or something.

Karen, those candies are a perfect take on the theme too. I am really impressed with this photo, and how you have used it to fit this theme.

Cindy you have such a cool dog, he is huge. Shame he doesn't want to pull, it looks like he'd have no trouble with the task either.

I actually had a few ideas for this theme but have not had the time to execute them. I will still try to do the rest but for now I was able to get one of them done. I don't want to fall behind.

This is also a very different edit from me. It felt really good to do something different.

Here is another edit, more true to the actual colors.
It's also a slightly different pic, I was working with them side by side.

For this shot though, I did feel that the vintage processing helps to tell the story in a sense.

Krisztina, those are beautiful! I like the vintage edit, but I really love the little extra pop of color in the second.

Yes I am way, way late on this one too

This is an old letter from my Aunt Venus. During her last spring and summer she and I corresponded regulary by mail. She loved gardening so I sent her pictures of my garden every few days so she could share in it with me and watch it grow These old letters from her are treasures to me now as they reveal little tid bits of infomation from days long gone, things that happened long before I was born, things I wouldn't know if I hadn't had the opportunity to share with her and hear about the days gone by. So I thought one of these old letters would be a fitting entry for "communication".

Krisztina I like your envelope shot! Somehow I had missed it till now.

Thank you Karen and Jo Ann !

Jo Ann - looks like we were thinking along the same lines. A long lost form of communication, that's for sure. I really enjoyed reading your story that goes along with these momentos from your past.
