Lucy Liu's dress was my favorite.

J Lo is trying way too hard. It is time to give it up.

Claire Danes looks a hot mess!
She had a baby a month ago. I can imagine that she is as exhausted as most new moms are! I think she looks pretty amazing considering.

I thought Claire Danes looked great!!
and I'm afraid the critics are going to murder Lucy liu's dress. They usually don't like patterns like that. Me, I do..but the critcs,...not soo much.

I don't loathe him, but I'm not a fan. I do, however, really like him in Elf.

That's about the only movie of his that I really like.

I love that Clare Danes won but Julianna Margulies
deserves recognition too. Actually all the nominees
are great.

The guy with Jason Bateman is Aziz Ansari. He's a comedian and actor on Parks and Recreation.

Who knows..the whole thing seemed rambling and odd..just odd. I think she's threatened to quit several times, and thats why she's directed.

I think Halle's dress would have been so pretty in a normal material. Except it made her look like one of her girls was much bigger than the other!

I'm guessing some of the rambling was about why
she chose to never publicly come out.

Yeah, I really like Jodie Foster, but her speech was quite rambling.

I think I'm going to have to check out the show "Girls" now.

I found her speech to be very interesting, but similar to something you would hear at a wedding - makes perfect sense to those in the center of things, but somewhat confusing to outsiders. thought she looked fabulous though!

and i love halle's dress!

I love Jodie Foster and her speech did seem to ramble---but what a career and what a class act! In this day and age where everyone (celebrity or not) seems to put it all out there---she seems to have remained so private and normal. Imagine what a circus her life could have been--child star, gay, John Hinckley Jr. etc....

I'm looking at the red carpet pictures on Yahoo and the either the pics are photoshopped or the photographer should be shot. They are horrible.

Quentin Tarantino with his fivehead

Anne Hathaway looking like an alien.

And a bunch of others. There are also some unfortunate wardrobe choices that the photographer didn't even try to take at a decent angle.

Catching up late here...I haven't watched all of it yet, but I'm watching again now.

I too thought Amy and Tina did a great job. Highlights were:
*The James Cameron/torture joke
*Tina telling Quentin he was responsible for her sexual nightmares (not sure of exact wording)
*Sasha's joke about Taylor Swift and Michael J. Fox's son--they didn't pan to the audience and show her face, so I wonder if she was amused. * Amy sitting on George's lap when her nomination was announced
* Tina and Amy showing up with drinks in hand after they both lost.

My favorite award reaction though was probably Jessica Chastain (I hope I have her name right). She has just really broken out over the last few years and she seems so appreciative of it all. Good for her!

Thank you! DDL was expected, but Argo a surprise. Wasn't Ben Affleck snubbed for Oscar nom but just won at Globes? Odd.

Academy definitely was wrong with the Ben Affleck snub. Now he's won the Golden Globe and the Critic's Choice Director awards. Talented group this year for sure.

Right, it was Tina that made the Taylor Swift joke. They didn't pan in the auience to her and I wonddered if she was offended. Sasha made the joke about Anne's accidental peek show and I was surprised tat she laughed because I remembered she was pretty upset about that picture.

Finally got to see Ben's acceptance speech, which I loved. Crazy to think he won the GG for best oscar and wasn't even nominated for an Oscar.

Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones, and Bill Murray all seemed like humorless stiffs. I wonder if Tommy and Bill were just caught in off moments or if they truly weren't amused at all.

Daniel Day Lewis' acceptance speech was quite amazing and eloquent, even though he deferred to Tony Kushner.(that part made me tear up)

Christian Bale!

I had just taken off my glasses in prep to go to sleep when I heard "please welcome Golden Globe winner Christian Bale". I never sat up and put my glasses on so fast!!! So proud of him for going and presenting. He usually stays away from these types of events unless he's nominated.
