I'm trying to work on a project and this happened.

Seriously, just stop using adhesive, and I use that term loosely, all together.

Now I have to go pick up these silly letters from my desk and the carpet.

I hear ya! I was taking a layout that I didn't like apart so I could recycle the papers and without touching them, the thickers started to pop off.

Drat, she beat me to it. I'm still aiming for a Thickers wall like they have at CHA for my scrap bunker!

I love it when they're still for sale in the store and all the letters are in a pile at the bottom of the packaging.

I'll still use Thickers but I always use extra adhesive with them.

Me too! I hate Thickers for this very reason. I refuse to buy them anymore. I've taken to stamping my titles or cutting them on my Cricut or just not having a title at all. What I don't understand is how Glitter Girl never seems to have this problem!

This is why I am reluctant to use their adhesive. I'm afraid it's the same stuff as what they use on Thickers. Seems like the chipboard ones are worst.

Isn't it annoying? I got them back into a plastic bag. Unfortunately they're just sticky enough to stick to each other and what they fall onto....just not the backing paper.

Oh well, I'm finished with the project anyway. Now it's time for Downton!

I can't understand why people rave about Thickers. They drive me batty for this reason.

Yes I hate thickers when they fall off too. It is a love hate relationship for me. I love the look hate that they do not stay on and I have to put them back on again and again.

That makes me laugh! Yes, Thickers are not known for awesome stickage!

omg, your photo and post cracked me up! But, it IS a serious issue. AC seriously needs to reformulate their adhesive. It's terrible. I HATE when I go look back at old layouts and the Thickers have all fallen off.

I love thickers but I really wish the would change their adhesive. I know scrappers have made it a known issue for awhile, it really surprises me that they haven't fixed the problem yet.

Anymore, I tend to only buy the foam & fabric ones unless I get a really good deal. I find the foam ones stick great.

I wonder if it's because the chipboard is so stiff? I had the same problem with Pink Paislee chipboard alphas as the Thickers.

I bought a pack of foil chipboard Thickers that I love...but they all started popping off the backing paper when I went to put it back in the plastic package. It drove me bonkers just trying to put them back in the plastic!I don't have too much trouble getting them to stay on LO's, and I don't mind putting extra adhesive if necessary, but I do think they need to change the backing paper-this almost felt greasy! But I love my Thickers, and I won't stop buying them...just wish they would fix this problem!

Ok, obviously I'm in the minority here, but I actually LIKE the fact that they're not very sticky (except for the foam ones that are OVERLY sticky IMHO). I like to move things around on my layout before I "commit" and the non-stickness of Thickers is perfect for me.

I can't tell you how many times I've bought discounted packages of Thickers because many of them were loose in the package!!

While I can certainly understand your frustration (you are paying for them to be sticky after all), for me it's just no big deal. I do love me some Thickers since I use them on just about every layout.

Maybe they should change the name to "Thick-Not Stick-ers" ???

Yup, I have many older books where the thickets have fallen off and are littering the bottom of my layout in the page protector....sigh

Love thickers for the dimension they add, but I can't really understand why AC still have this problem after how many years? I think that many of their other items are of a great quality, but this is bordering on ridiculous. Thankfully I've learned to put extra adhesive on the chipboard ones but it's still annoying.
