I've had it for just over a year and I still it.
What are your thoughts - love it? regret it?
Please link up a layout you've made with your new toy.
BTW, I have made a promise that I will use it for every layout I create this year - even if it's just a circle.

Here is the The Cameo Master Thread.

I just got mine about a month ago and haven't used it yet. I sold the last of my Provo craft stuff this weekend. I plan to use my Cameo tomorrow. I can't wait.

I got one around April/May of last year and I'm so glad I did. This year I'd like to use it for more than just titles. I tried this tutorial recently and I loved how it turned out.

I don't get time to use mine enough, but I LOVE it. Printing and cutting is the best. I have only had my Cameo since May, but it seems like longer. I still have my Expression, SCAL software and cartridges and I use those every once in a while, but the Cameo is my favorite.

The last 20 pages I have used it on all my projects - got a shock the other day when I realised that I had actually made a page and NOT used my Cameo - love it - backgrounds for dimensions, titles, shapes, banners.
Christmas I made pillow boxes with goodies, gave my gift cards with beautiful gift tag holders, bottles of wine with lovely gift cards. The possibilities are endless and with chipboard there will be no stopping me!!

Oh, thanks for this thread - will love to see everyone's layouts. I just got mine at Christmas. I love it so much! I'm a girl that likes swirly and swoopy titles and things, and finally I feel I can create what I had in mind with this baby I haven't watched any YouTubes or anything yet - haven't had time yet. But can't wait to explore more of what it can do other than what I've figured out so far.

Here's my latest layout from yesterday with all the swirls and swoops to my heart's content - lol - in the frames and the title. A concert my friend and I took our daughters and friends to.

Thanks for that link, ElsaBelle. I just tried it and it was super simple.

I got my for Christmas and have used it a few times. I need to watch the DVD and do more reading though because so far I've done only the most basic cuts. Unfortunately, I don't have anything uploaded to show you guys. I've looked at the layouts linked here and they are all super cute!

Its okay. I have not found it to be the end all by all that people make it out to be. I love the reflect ability i get with my Cricut way more.

I got mine 2 weeks before christmas. My first project was making boxes for teacher gifts. That has to be my favorite thing about it.....I can make small gift boxes. As a teacher I love handmade stuff. I also used it to make a bunch of christmas 3d projects. I have not used it for scrapping yet just crafts. My goal this year is to catch up on my scrapbooking. I haven't scrapped my family stuff for over 4 years. I scrapped a wedding album last year and haven't done anything since then Hoping this gives me inspiration. I have spent many hours browsing the online store and have a lot of files now. I have all the stuff I need to scrap grouped such as my baby's 1st year, older school stuff, etc I just need to grab a box and get started.

How does everyone store their Cameo? I have mine sitting on the top of a craft cart but it takes up a lot of space.

I got mine last November and love it so far, though I haven't had a chance to use it very much yet. I'm planning on changing that now that the busy holiday season is over and I'll have more time to scrap

I got a Cameo for Christmas and love it. I also own a couple Cricut machines and tons of cartridges and can't part with any of them.

I love mine; it has so many capabilities; I'm in awe. I have been using it for the past 11 months off and on and every time I start it up, I'm so impressed with what I can do with it. Just this past weekend I brought it to a crop and it was amazing. I did some cuts, drawings, imported from the Internet traces, and even made car decals. Take a peek in my uploaded album (Florida 2011 continued) and see what I was able to do. I'm finding as time goes on my pages are looking better and better; I guess it's just a scrapping learning curve.

Got it in August. Love it! Spent 1.5 hours Friday night cutting titles. PERFECT. Even on the ones I though were too complicated or thin to cut nicely, cut like a dream. I've sold my expression.

Just got mine for Christmas and love it. Used it for the first time and the first cuts were perfect! I'm very happy with it! I can't wait to play with it some more.

I'm one week into the Cameo but I had a KNK and a Cricut. I am finding that I'm using it a lot but mostly for the little things like polaroid frames and little background pieces like starbursts and hexagons.

I adore my Cameo! I have had it since Nov '11 and I am thrilled to no longer be limited by Cricut. Actually the machine I have is a replacement. My original started to die and I called right before my warranty expired and they happily agreed to let me return it for a brand new one. I kept working with it to get my final Christmas projects out of the way and my new one arrived last week. LOVE Silhouette customer service, it's top notch.

I've had mine since October 2011 and absolutely it. I use it for every single paper layout I make and even most cards. It is without a doubt my best scrappy purchase! I don't know what I'd do without it!

I've had mine since Christmas 2011. It is my favorite scrappy purchase ever! I use it on almost every LO, plus treat bags, plus decorations, school projects, etc, etc, etc. my cameo! Although it is easy to use because I mostly scrap at home in a combination office/scrap room....so being tied to a computer is no problem.

I would love to be in love with my Cameo, but I'm just not. It sits and gathers mostly dust. I feel bad, but as hard as I've tried, I just don't get it. I think it's a time factor. If I had more time to use it consistently, I would probably have the hang of it, but I simply don't. Weeks and months go by and I think I've used it maybe 7 times since I purchased last April. I see things in the Sil store that I would love to make, but I just stare at them and wonder how I would do it. I mean, I don't understand enough about it to pull all the pieces apart and cut one piece in one color and another in another color. I saw a really pretty poinsettia border that would look great on one of my Christmas pages, but I didn't buy, because I would only be able to cut it out in one color. Makes me sad.
