I was just curious where everyone else goes to crops? I have only been to the Cozy Crop house near Lancaster Pennsylvania. I really love it there! And my grandmother is planning on inviting some family over for a crop at her house! So where do you have crops? Or do you just scrap at home?

I used to go to a weekend crop in Gladwin, MI but the coordinator is no longer doing it. Now, I go to my LSS, Scrappy Chic in Livonia, they have great crops, crowded but a lot of fun.

Locally a lot of crops are held at churchs, library, community center, etc. We don't have a LSS and never have.

I host crops on a large scale, I have smaller crops at my home, I attend crops of friends and through word of mouth situations.
I tend to not scrap at the LSS as the one in my area has three or four people at a table and that is just not enough room for me to even look at my album, let alone work on it.

I've gone to weekend crop retreats, but it's been a few years. (love those!) My CTMH consultant would organize them. I used to also have a monthly class with my CTMH consultant, but we only got one 2-page layout done. It was fun, though. These days, I like to go to Archiver's with friends. I do an evening every couple of months. Other than that, I scrap at home.

I crop at Archiver's, a nearby LSS, and at weekend crops hosted at local hotels every few months.
And I scrap in my craft room almost daily.

We've had them at homes, a library and 2 churches. All you need is a set day, tables (8ft.) chairs, lighting and a kitchen.

All kinds of places:
Hotels, in their banquet rooms when with a large group (my least favorite)
Hotels in our own room, 3 or 4 of us share a suite and bring tables (or the hotel lends us some) (good times although a little tight)
Schools (usually for a school fundraiser (most uncomfortable)
Retreats: various.. we have rented homes and did the cooking and cleaning ourselves.. (KINDA of a pain, but works) BUT recently we found a place where the family rents out their finished basement and we have the whole downstairs with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms all to ourselves, they cook for us which we eat upstairs in their formal dining room. (MOST FAVORITE PLACE)
I have done my own home with a bunch of girls..move furniture around and spend the day scrapping.. (not much of an option now unless it is just two of us)

|Posted: 1/14/2013 1:04:39 PM|My favorite is by a CM consultant at a hotel. She knows someone that works there and gets a great deal on rooms. It is $20 for the weekend for a table in the conference room. It's close to food & shopping so I love those weekends away!
Otherwise, day crops around us are usually churches or community buildings. I've done a couple of crop weekends at camps and a resort. Bunk beds, moldy showers or being expected to share a bed with my mom are NOT my idea of a weekend away.

There's a hotel about an hour from me where there are monthly day crops and semi-annual weekend crops. For the past 2 years, I have met friends out of town for crops which have always been at a hotel.
There's also a monthly day crop at a community center and evening crop at an elementary school both of which are semi-local.

I mostly scrap at home I haven't had good luck with the LSS at all. I also go to my upline's (CTMH) she has a recreation room at her disposal and she can seat about 20 or a few more for classes and crops. Lots of fun.

I crop at home all most every day...and my CMC holds crops 2 times a year at a hotel for the weekend, another lady ( CTMH) does weekend crops at the same hotel that I go too, my sisters or my house, and at our church where a friend does crops for Relay for Life which is from 9am to 9pm.
We don't have any LSS, in the area.

I go to a monthly day crop hosted by a CM and SU consultant....same group of girls in a conference room at a local hotel. Loads of fun! This year 3 friends and I are hosting a weekend crop in May with a Candyland theme!

I have just started going to a crop at a church about 45 minutes away. The host is great and really has a good set up. For an extra $5 more you can get your own table. I also crop at home when I have time. My favorite crop is when 3 of my close friends rent a cabin about 2 hrs away a couple of times a year and crop for 4 or 5 days. We have done this for several years. Everyone has their own king bed and bath so it's like a vacation.

|Posted: 1/14/2013 8:48:37 PM|I used to go to crops at the LSS's, but don't see them offered much any more.
Now one of my friends holds 3 or 4 12 hour crops a year She also holds weekend retreats so that is where I crop now.

I scrap most often at home. I also have a CM consultant friend who holds crops at her house (I am not a CM scrapper and she doesnt care). I do buy some CM products (all my albums) so I don't feel so guilty! She does longer crops and Tuesday morning crops as well as crop weekends (which I have not been to yet). I have circle of friends who scrap and a few times a year we each take a turn in hosting one. Lastly, my LSS used to hold Friday night crops but stopped when the economy took a downturn. They do an all day crop on NSBD and hold a couple of 4 day retreats at an inn each year. I do one 4 day crop each year with friends either through them or another vendor I also like.

My cropping group has found many places to get together. We haves cropped at the town hall, a local bed & breakfast, churches, church camp and most recently at a senior center each month, lol. Gotta get creative when you live in a small town.

I have a craft room and scrap there at night. There use to be LSS but they closed down when the economy hit. I use to go to Archiver's with my friends but we all decided to do it at my house to save some money for shopping. LOL. So every month or two I have crops at my house with some friends. It's a lot of fun.
