I've been frozen since October and I'm doing pretty well with it. Right now I'm using some K-ology Hannah papers and I think they're from sometime around 2006/2007. I also have some old Heidi Swapp stuff from the Costco kit (2006?)that I just had to have that I'd like to use. I find that if I set something on my desk it will get used. If I leave it on the shelf I keep ignoring it. Recently I read on here about some peas using stuff from the 90s.

I just used some "Lilac House" Fancy Pants papers from 2010 to scrap a tour of an opera house. The muted colors really showed off the colors in the photos, and some pp even had musical scores on them. So glad I had stashed these papers

I used a bunch of feathers (real feathers) on a farm visit layout. They were perfect with my chicken paper. Just goes to show you, if you hang on to something long enough the perfect layout will come along. I also used a TH edge die that I have never used.
I've been using some really old K & Co rubons. Some of them were hard to get off the backing but with a little friction (okay, a lot) they loosened up. I love rubons and was not about to let them go without a fight.

Over the past two days, I pulled everything out of stash from 2007 and back and put a Post-It on it that says Expires 12/31/13. I'm challenging myself to only use stuff from that box this year. Anything that doesn't get used will get donated. It's actually made me really excited to scrap and use the stuff I just loved when I bought it!
The most recent old stuff I used was some old Teresa Collins for Junkitz chipboard pieces. |

That's a pretty good idea I have a lot of stash from that era. I did a lot of shopping in 2006 and 2007. I need to use it or pass it on.
I love hearing that people are using old stash for PL and are using up stickers. I need to pull some out and start using them up. |

For CHA challenge #1, I just used KI color theory paper, Heidi Swapp Tape - the infamous THRUSDAY tape (covered that day up), and really old green colored round paper clips.
For another challenge, I used some old Karen Russell Narratives paper probably 2005-6. |

I used a word sticker I had purchased in 2005 recently, on a layout that had mostly a lot newer stuff.
I also made a card with pattern paper I had purchased in 2006, and a stamp I've had almost that long. |

I made a double page layout inspired by the last "Seeing Double" video. I used 5 pieces of paper from a Stack that was at least 5 years old. I decided some of the patterned paper from the Stacks are not so bad if you look at them out of the Stack- the whole Stack itself is too much, but I certainly have found individual pp that work just fine. Also used Stickles and an embossing folder. Yay for scrapping from the stash! |

^This. I just printed off the cutting guides from Shimelle's perfect collection class, and decided to play with some ooooooold paper from a MME stack, thinking if I messed it up it wouldn't hurt so much. Well, I made 10 starting point layouts during my little one's nap, and actually really like them. I just used a bunch of MAMBI stuff on my 2page layout: bits of a collection kit and 3 soft spoken packs as well as letter stickers and a flower sticker sheet. I don't know why but I love collecting them.
I've already uploaded the project so if you want to check it out, here it is:
Magic Mike and margaritas
I've decided I need to "shop" from my stash so I'm trying to use stuff mostly from my stash and adding some new-ish product with it.
Also about the Stacks - I've been using the B-side (fancy way of saying the white side) as my white "cardstock" if it's going to be mounted on another piece of patterned paper or cardstock. I find I can use some of it up that way. Or, I'll use it as a scrap whenever I need something white - like to test mists or inks.

I've used a bunch lately. Today I used some SEI Simple Sets paper from 2003(?). I like to use it in subtle ways or in combination with new products.
One of my biggest things is letter stickers. I've taken to using a black paint pen to colour over them to use on layouts. Especially all those pink stickers I bought when my daughter was born only to realise I don't like scrapping with pink.
To be fair, I'm not really bothered by old product. As long as I still like it, I'll like it on my page. Once it is in the album, it'll jut blend in with everything else. |

Today I'm using SEI Winnie's Walls fabric stickers. I don't even know when I bought those. Maybe around 2006?
I've been having a great time using my stash and knowing that I don't have to buy new supplies in order to tell the story and get it scrapped!
I wonder if I could go a whole year without buying anything except cardstock and adhesive. I just blew my mind. |

I just used some old Halloween die cuts and big black brads that I've had for years. I also used some older paper from a Halloween stack. It has large circles on it, and I cut them apart to use as embellishments. It felt really good to think a little outside the box with that old paper. |

This is exactly what I was going to do!! I thought I would go though a Stack and pull out 16 papers to make my own "collection", and then follow Shimelle's guide from the Perfect Collection class. Not only do I have the DCWV stacks, but I have MME and Wild Asparagus, and other large stack pads too. Combining those with my Nestabilities, stamps and Cricut I could probably made a whole collection kit with labels, circles, etc for layering. |
