The 60D is on its way.
Will be delivered tomorrow.

I can hardly wait, I am SO excited !!!!

I am most looking forward to shooting some video with it and trying out the high ISO capabilities.

I may have trouble sleeping tonight. And concentrating on work tomorrow. LOL

Next week, I don't have long to wait, but I am sure it will draaaaagggggg and seem like years! I am having the camera shipped to my husbands work so he can hide it from me!

That is so very exciting. I can't wait until I can get a new camera too. It's fun to get new and better equipment.

What made you decide on the Canon 60D verses some of the other ones that Canon has?

Cost was a major factor. I just couldn't justify the cost of the 7D (or higher).

I read many reviews comparing the two and just felt like this was a good fit for my needs right now.

I honestly don't even need a new body now, I just felt it was time for an upgrade to help me with the jump start I feel I need right now.

It arrived a few hours ago and has been sitting on my desk at work teasing me.

I can't play with it til I get off work.

I used this time to charge the battery and read the manual though. So its not a total waste of time.

Post some pictures, and let us know what you think!
I ordered an extra battery, new camera strap and new bag for mine too.

I cannot wait to play, in the meantime I want to live vicariously through you!

I think you'll really enjoy the video options. At first I was super intimidated to dive in, but I've learned to enjoy the challenge. Congrats on your new camera body, I think that's a great reason to get jump started again.

So far I am really enjoying the upgrade. I have not had much time to play with video, but I have taken quite a few photos with it.

The weekly challenge pics from week 3 on are all taken with the 60D. Pretty much anything from here on out will be with the 60D.

The switch was nearly seamless IMO. Most of the setting and controls are similar, so after one read through the manual I was good to go.

I also bought two new bags so I would bring it out with me more often.
I am really happy I made the leap.
