The winner this week out of 140 entries!!!! was
DARKCHAMI
Congrats!!
I'm sending you peamail!
Hello Scrappers! Welcome to the third set of scrapping challenges for January.
I've decided to host a weekly challenge thread here at Two Peas. The more you play, the more chances you have to win a small scrapping goody from me and the more pages you will get done!
Please link up your creation in this thread for a chance to win and I will also have a challenge box you can check during the upload process.
Look for **Stash Busters Challenge**
**You can combine all these prompts. Each prompt you use is good for one chance to win...so use 3 prompts on one layout = 3 chances to win!***
-------------------------------------------------------------------------All challenges are due Monday January 21 at 11:59pm.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Prompt Number One
Use this layout as inspiration. I like the butterflies and the buttons and the paper strips.
layout credit--Carol Monson (I think!)
Prompt Number Two
Use ink or mist on a layout. This is an easy one! Ink the edges of your papers or stamp a title, use mist through a stencil or use the very popular splatter technique!
Prompt Number Three
Use at least two different alphabets on a layout. Do you have a ton of sticker letters. I know I do! Thickers too! Use them!
Prompt Number Four
How about a color challenge? The new Martha Stewart Living magazine arrived today and I thought the cover looked good enough to scrap. Use these colors on a layout:
Yellow, blue, green. All neutrals allowed. (white/black/kraft)
Prompt Number Five
Complete any Two Peas Challenge. This counts for the CHA challenges that
expire Saturday at 11:59pm.

Hi Marianne - awesome challenges! Thanks for posting photos. I'm loving the inspo page and the Martha Stewart color challenges.
Just checking, for the deadline, did you mean 11:59 PM or is it really 11:59am?
I'm trying to work through some of the CHA challenges, but maybe I'll be able to incorporate one or two of these challenges too.
Thanks!

I was going to start a thread bragging about FINALLY getting Christmas 2009 done, when I saw this one. I will have to scan my pages and post. I really went "retro" in using some of my stash (from 2001/2002) and inking edges too! |

Great challenges! Did you know "get messy with mists" is one of the prompts on the 213 in 2013 video this week? So if I used my mists on a page, would it count for both? |

Yes...if you do any of the two peas challenges and one of the additional prompts here, it counts for 2. |

Wow, these challenges are making me wish I had more butterfly stuff, although I think enabling is the exact opposite of the point of Stash Busters!
I love the color combo on that magazine cover. I'll have to see if I have anything that works for that. If not, maybe I'll put my Distress Inks to work, I'm sure I have yellow and turquoise!
I wasn't planning to do a LO tonight, but I finished up one I started yesterday. It's for a CHA challenge (play with three trends), and because I used mist I believe it works for prompt #2 here as well.
Not the best photo, but here it is
Looking forward to playing along again this week! | |

I also didn't see the challenge check box when I uploaded, but appreciate it anyway! Especially the combining of CHA challenges and these - makes it much more feasible!
Here's for prompt 2 (use two alphabets):
Smile
And prompt 5 (CHA challenge):
Love My Boys
The last one was a particularly good stash-buster, since I have a whole PACK of those cards and this was the first time I've managed to use them! | |

Thanks for the challenge. I love using my stash! We've got some talented and busy peas. Love seeing everyone's work.
Here's mine: a lovely time
Motivated me to finish the companion page for a page I made last year. The event was from 2011. I used the following:
#2 inks - I used 9 different stamps and 4 different inks
#3 2 different alphas - if stamps count, I used 2 different alphas for the "a" and "time"
#4 color - I used yellow/blue/green and added some orange and red for pop.
#5 2peas challenges - Glitter Girl & CHA challenge #8
Now off to work on another one! | |

Submission #2 qualifies for prompts 2, 3 & 5. I used Mr. Huey's & OA ink splatters, TH walnut stain to ink edges. I used a cricut cut alpha & thickers. I submitted this for CHA Challenge #9 - use 9 things on your desk. I will have to say this one came together pretty quickly.

I think the CHA Challenges in conjunction with your challenge is really working in our favor. At least it is for me.
Oh, would love to win a package of those wood star veneers! I've been wanting them but they have been sold out on 2peas forever!
Here's another entry (and another shot to win those stars!):
bee keeping
Used the following prompts:
#2 ink (double stamped the date)
#3 2 different alphas (Amy Tan and American Crafts)
#4 yellow/blue/green
#5 Glitter Girl and CHA challenge #10
Thanks, Marianne!

I spent most of my day off yesterday making my PL spread for Saturday's challenge to use punches. I spent quite a bit of time on it because I busted out 4 punches and several stamp sets from my stash. I used the free journaling cards that I printed off from Simple Stories and Echo Park "Today's Story". I have almost used all the paper from that collection kit...I already down graded it from a iris case to storing it in a sleeve...if I use it one more week it will be pretty much gone. Yeah StashBusters! I think nest I will use up Everyday Eclectic because it is from the same Designer and I think I can mix them with pretty good results. This is for Prompt #5: a current 2peas callenge

Hi there! Everyone is on a roll!
I tried to upload this last night but there wasn't a Scrap Your Stash link for the wood veneers challenge. Oh well.
Thanks so much for your color challenge, Marianne. Had me searching for the right photo and then I was able to whip this one out pretty quick (at least for me):
love in an elevator
Used the following prompts:
#2 mists (3) - I "drew" with them, sprayed it and splattered it. Lots of fun!
#3 2 alphas (QK die and 2 different MM sticker alphas)
#4 color combo
#5 2 peas challenges (CHA #2, 213 in 2013, In the Mood) | |

It looks like I have a lot of catching up to do on this thread! I finished one page tonight, for CHA Challenge #10 (10 manufacturers), so it works for prompt #5. I think it also counts for #1, because I probably wouldn't have pulled the butterfly sticker out of my stash if it weren't for Marianne showcasing them here! I used a LOT of distress ink, so I guess it works for #2 too.
My LO
With any luck, I should have time to do another page or two tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me! | |

I finished my seventh CHA challenge, appropriately it's #7, use seven different PP (also prompt #5 here). I used the paper strip idea from the layout that is meant to inspire us for prompt #1, and I inked the edges of the paper, the photos, and the stamped images, of course (prompt #2).
Chinatown
I'm going to see if I can work in one more of the CHA challenges today. Hopefully I'll be back with another page soon!

The inspiration layout was so beautiful...I just had to lift it. I used 10 different brands to create my layout for CHA #10.
Sweet summer memories
I usually am to scared to stamp directly on my background....but I loved how those butterflies looked in brown on the background...so I risked it and luckily I got a good clean stamped image. |

OK this was one was completely different for me....but I had the stuff in my stash so I thought I would give it a try! This is for both CHA #3: 3 trends, and 213 (1.14.13). It also works for #2, #3, and of course #5.
Let's play catch
okay, now I am off to work for the whole wseekend...so I probably won't be able to finish all the 10 challenges for CHA, but I am really proud of the 5 that I did get done and I did manage to fulfill all the StashBuster prompts at least once!
I am looking forward to coming home from work tonight and see waht lovely things will be here after a saturday! Have fun and CREATE! |

I've finally gotten a page done. It's been a very busy week!
The picture is a little blurry, as I was forced to use my phone.
Here is anniversary no. 6.
I'm submitting it for prompt 2 for the misting, prompt 5 for the 213 in 2013, and if allowed, prompt 4 for the color scheme. It started out all yellow and blue and green (the color of my mists!) The layers were all blue and yellow and green... and then I spotted my Everyday Eclectic collection and just had to throw in the hexagons. | |
