Didn't buy THIS spice jar storage system that I saw at TJMaxx yesterday but thought it would make a cool storage system for washi tape...

Just thought I'd share it here in case it might work well for anyone else.

(sorry, couldn't figure out how to post a photo in this thread, so posted a link to photo in my gallery instead)

I bought a mug tree at Goodwill that I thought would be good for storing my washi tapes. I think the rolls will slide on each peg.

I tested this out I think the biggest advantage is you don't have to remove other rolls to get the one you want (like you would with a mug stand). I was able to fit 7 regular rolls of washi or 5 rolls plus a wide roll in each little compartment. There are 18 little compartments so it would hold 126 rolls of washi! Talk about bang for your storage buck. I had one roll that would not fit. It's a navy blue roll with starts. I think it's from love my tapes.

Great idea! ! I will have to check out some of our local stores here and see if I can find something similar. We don't have TJMax here in Canada.

So cool! Cheaper than Amazon. Won't TJMaxx be surprised when they have a run on spice racks?

So how's it work for spices?

I love it. I have the one that holds 18 jars and I wish I had the space in my cupboard for the next size up. My store brand jars fit perfect and it's easy to use, easy to put spices back where they go, and easy to find the spice you need. It's sorta cheap plastic but it certainly serves its purpose.

So did your washi rolls fit?

All but one roll. This roll was too wide to fit.
