What pens do you use to journal directly on photos?

I need black and white and preferably brown

The Selphy says to use oil based inks.

I'm curious about this too, hopefully someone comes along with a suggestion.

But I wanted to ask, what kind of pup is that in your avatar pic? He/she looks a lot like my mom's Shiba Inu!

I don't write on the front of my pics (if I have once, I don't remember LOL) but I'd probably try my Marvy markers. I used them to write the info on the back. Of course, we're talking film prints from several years ago, not ones printed at home.

I don't write on photos. I use photoshop and add text to the photo before I print it.

I second the American Crafts slick writers. They work great for writing on photos.

I've used the AC slick writers too. My preferred method though is to add text in a photo editing program. It's easy to do with free programs like Picmonkey.

I almost always write on mine digitally now but, the two products that work well are:

Black/Brown - AC Slick Writers
White - Sharpie Poster Paint Pen

Thanks for all the Slick Writer suggestions, I'll try to find some!

And yes, CraftyNikki, that's my Shiba Inu, Phoenix PhyrPhox. He's 8 months old now; the photo that's my avatar is the day after his 6-month birthday, on our way home from his neuter surgery.

I was also going to say Slick Writers, but are they oil based? I'm just curious.
