I am getting suspicious that Cricut is going under, or am I just being paranoid? Now I am wishing I could afford to stock up on cutting blades and mats right now. I already went through this with my beloved Zipe'Mate.....

I was in J's today and the lady in front of me was looking for a CC cart. The clerk told her they wouldn't be carrying it any more!

^^^ That's not helping my paranoia. LOL

I am to the point that I really don't need many more carts, but I really hope I can keep buying cutting mats locally.

HL had plenty when I was in there a few days ago, and it looked like new stock.

Thanks hilsmom. I have one HL sort of nearby so hopefully they will still carry Cricut products.

My M's still carries Cricut stuff and the Joann's by me just re-did their Cricut section to make it bigger. Maybe it's just the market you're in.

One of the Cricut online stores released a new cartridge early. Apparently the new Cricut cartridges are going to be revealed today or some time this month. My friend bought the new cartridge. It's a hunting and masculine type outdoor cartridge. It was a physical cartridge and not a digital. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the cart. I am not a help. Forgive me, it was Golden Globe weekend. I have spent the last few days studying over a thousand dresses. I am starting to dread thinking of the Oscars.

My friend is in the Circle and she told me there was an announcement that Hello Thursday was coming back this month.

Anna Griffin has partnered with ProvoCraft. She has her own version of the Cuttlebug which is just gorgeous. It's really hard to enable me. I fell in love with the new Cuttlebug. She is coming out with a line of embossing folders. All of that is supposed to be on HSN next week- Anna Griffin Cuttlebug

I hope that makes you feel better. I know every time I see the stores getting rid of Cricut items too I panic.

I just showed DH the Anna Griffin Cuttlebug.

Me: Isn't it purdy?
Him: It's a lunchbox?
Me: *facepalm*

And I think the new cart is called Outdoor Man.

I think that I might stock up on some mats and blades just in case. I hardly use my Cricut since getting my Silhouette, but I don't want to lose the ability to use it.

I love Anna Griffen and embossing folders. Guess I should be tuning in to HSN next week.

Maybe try a LSS if you have one. Nice to support them instead of Michaels anyway.

Honestly, I'm speculating about them too. Something just doesn't seem right, but no idea exactly what that would be.

The closest M's to us still has a cricut section, and HL still sells and recently added a restock with more items. Its confusing though. Perhaps they're trying to do a final push to increase sales.

Some stores are doing inventory so that may be why their supply is down.

My Michaels finally got the new Cricut mats. Maybe the stores are still getting new mats (the ones with Cricut written in the middle of the mat).

On the cricut.com message board they said they were bring out new things. I don't think they are going away yet. I love my cricut products and I'm glad new management have stepped in. I hope things get turned around, I had stopped buying PC products for 2 yrs and I'm starting to buy the carts again. It feels good.

Have you tried washing your mats? I know, sounds crazy, but it actually extends the amount of time they last considerably. Just throw them in the sink with some warm soapy water, and let them air dry.

Well, if they do go under you could always buy silhouette mats if you have an Expression.

I have wondered lately about the status of this tool. I love my Expression and really hope they continue to support this line of products!!

I buy my mats & blades on Amazon (I'm a Prime member so it's free shippping). I find some pretty good deals there. There are no stores within 60 minutes of me that carry the products reliably (or at all, from what you all have said here. LOL)

That Cuddlebug is pretty stinkin' cute!!

My Michaels hasnt had them for 2 years! They would say, "they are coming soon" - they never did and then the spot and label disappeared. But I got a cameo last year so ...

I have 3 Meijers near me and when they all recently downsized their scrapbook sections I thought they were getting rid of all the Cricut. I was just in them over the past two weeks & they all still have a teeny Cricut section.

You are lucky your Meijer still has a small section of Cricut. I just looked at my nearest Meijer's scrapbook section last night and no Cricut.

The two Meijer stores by me took out the Sizzix and Cricut products and replaced them with Spellbinders. I wonder where the Sizzix/Cricut stuff ends up that they took out of the stores?

If you have a J's, they allow coupons on mats and blades. I was at J's today and mine was stocked with mats. I didn't even look at blades, sorry. They had plenty of cartridges too. I crossed over to Silhouette, but I don't want to lose the ability to use my Expression either!

We have a new J's here but I haven't been there yet, hopefully they will have some mats. It would be great if they take a coupon too.

Just a FYI for everyone. The Eclips blades and mats work perfectly in the Expression. The blades actually cut better than the blades offered by Cricut. Eclips (Sizzix)also makes a spray to re-sticky your mats. Works great.

I said I never would but I got to the point I am ready to sell all my Cricut stuff. Now that Imagine is gone I'm afraid I'll have to give it away.. I hate to pawn it off on a newbie who thinks its awesome then has to find out they arent supported anymore.

The new cart is Outdoor Man. They are previewing a new cart in CCR called Extreme Fonts. I guess there is a contest for it so you can use it free right now. I have a friend who works for PC. She told me a couple of months ago PC got a brand new IT department in. The reason why they stopped going to CHA is because it was so expensive to keep it up at the level they were doing. The new CEO decided to stop going to CHA and concentrate on restructuring the company. I talk to her every week and she seems content working at PC. She doesn't act like she is going to lose her job any time soon. I have been using the Cricut for years. I have always noticed right after the holidays mats are in short supply. I hope that eases some worries.

I am not on the Cricut bandwagon or anything. I have other die cutters too. I know how it feels when you are worried about what is going to happen to one of your tools that you have sunk a lot of money into. I fret like that about some of my tech products.

I don't think PC is going anywhere. I know for a fact they are not the glorious unicorn they used to be. I am sure they never will be again. I think it's just going to be a different company than before.
