An amazing video!
It was great to actually see the process from start to finish and get to see the decision making process not just the adhering part. It was explained so well.
Plus, a lovely story behind the layout too and how that impacted the creative decisions.
Two thumbs up!!
Can't wait to see what else Jill has for us in the coming year |

Definitely an awesome video! I laughed when she mentioned holding the photo up to every single piece of paper she had in the pile. So real - I've done that so many times. Makes me feel much better about some of the things I do during my creative process.

I abolutely loved your video!
The layout was beautiful, and I loved hearing your process too. I always get messed up with the mists, but you and the other Garden Girls give me hope that I can make it look good someday!
I also loved reading your journaling and hearing about what this layout means to you. It had me in tears (in a good way!). My DH saw me tearing up and said, "I thought you were watching a scrapbook video - how can you be crying?" LOL. Thank you for sharing your Uncle with us.
And lastly - I love hearing of others in Hawai'i. My family is there and how I wish I could move there - someday hopefully.

Jill: Thanks so much for the video. I got some wonderful ideas, the narration was interesting and excellent and I particularly loved seeing how you compared papers and narrowed down the choices. Seeing the rough journaling draft was great and so helpful to me. You definitely have me thinking outside the box: I had no idea that themed Christmas papers and a Halloween colored spray could be repurposed in such a way to make a completely different non-themed LO. It's especially interesting since you live in Hawaii and snowflake papers are pretty much useless if you don't think beyond the first glance of the papers. (It's sort of one of those the more you look, the more you see moments). You've taught me to look beyond the obvious.
Best of all, I love your story about your uncle. You melted my heart.
Keep up the good work: if you hadn't confessed it was your first video, I never would have guessed it! Good job!
Thanks for sharing your time and talent! |

So glad I saw this post and watched the video. I loved how you did your journaling. I usually use text boxes and then try and line up the cards on them and then turn off the lines - this was so much easier so I will have to remember this next time.
It was fun to watch you through the process and I can't wait to see what else you have for us. I really love how you made everything work on this challenge and pulled in so many elements including using the back side of the tags you knew you would never use otherwise - that was the second why did't I ever think of that moment in this video. |
