Hey Peas! What crafty things are you working on this weekend?

I am working on a layout and a few Valetines cards. Also, I am learning to crochet and I may try a new thing with that.

I've been doing this weeks project life, can't believe I'm actually up to date and enjoying it at the same time. I'm waiting to see if tomorrow brings some snow for a nic photo and tomorrow night I'll finish the week. I have to make DD2 an 18th birthday card tomorrow, it's her birthday next Friday.

I was at DS's basketball game this morning then out for lunch. Came home and finished up our vacation to Vegas and did a Halloween layout. Granted they are photos from Oct. 2011, but hey I'm trying!

My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 6. I hope you enjoy doing it. There are so many beautiful patterns out there now.

I'm working on knitting an infinity scarf for DD. I do that for awhile then I go to my scrapping. I'm making some birthday layouts - one for each month for us to use at work for our once a month birthday celebrations. They're coming out really well.

I put the finishing touches on a 2-page layout, finished another one, made a couple cards and then decided to try my had at shakers again.

I went shopping to my LSS that is sadly closing. So instead of cleaning and organzing like I had planned, I went and got more stuff. Tomorrow all will be put away for sure!

I've been working on my OLW title page and January's assignment for the last week or so. I'm hoping to finish it up by the end of the weekend. Luckily, I don't have anywhere to be on Monday, so I hope tiger everything finished up by then.

Yesterday I cut and sewed a pair of curtains for my bedroom and a pair for my living room. Today I took advantage of Joann's having 50% off of their drapery hardware, made it less expensive than Walmart, and got them hung up! I have the steamer heating up now and I'm going to steam them while they are hanging which is much easier than ironing! Best thing is both pairs of curtains were cut from fabric I have had for years so I used my fabric stash!

I also bought some clearance fabric to finally finish the couch cover I started. I messed up with cutting so I had the entire thing done except the large piece that goes under the seat cushions connecting everything together. It has been pinned for three months! That is going to be my project for tomorrow. You really can't notice it at all and I was going to just leave it that way but it is a pain to get back on because it is in three pieces.

Hoping to actually be able to scrap tomorrow!

I just finished and posted one layout of DH with DGS. That's the one for our book. Now I have to finish (and probably post) the LO with the same photo for DGS's book.

Tomorrow, if time permits, I will be doing one art journal page and one scrapbook page. The scrapbook page is a story-based one, which isn't what I usually do. I'm going to scrap a recent photo of DH and me in front of a hotel that is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Later on, when I get some new paper (I know I can count on my LSS to have the Christmas lines on sale in February to make room for their new CHA stuff) I will do a page about how pretty the hotel's lights are. But first, I'm going to use my stash to do a page about how, before we went to the hotel, we and others were part of a large pissing match at our neighbor city's city council meeting.

Well...I'm still putting away Christmas ... between some sickness at home and a midterm week filled with a ton of stress and anxiety for my DD, among other things, Christmas decor is disassembled but piled up in several rooms...hopefully I can do that and get my scrap area tidied up this weekend too, so next week I may be able to play.

I used up some leftovers from a Basic Grey kit to make a one page KO from summer 2011. My scrappy mojo is high right now so I'm getting some stuff done finally

I have been sorting & cleaning in my room. My DD was given a ton of scrap supplies and doesn't want to scrap so I sorted through stuff to keep and pass on.
Once I got that sorted & put away, I sorted photos from Christmas's past... ours, my DH's side of the family & my side of the family. Now they are all in there own albums. I haven't scrapped 2011 or 12 Christmas yet so I am taking an idea from AuroraInbag and am putting the pictures to be scrapped in the page protector in the albums they go in

I just came down to eat supper(yes, at 8:30) then I am headed back up to my room.

I am working on a mini of a visit to the LeMay Car Museum. Yesterday I made a few cards. Back to work tomorrow so it will most likely be next weekend before I get back to scrapping.

If there's not, there should be! And I'd attend with you!

That being said, I can't imagine not opening the boxes - other than buying, that's my favorite part! Like Christmas or something, opening the box and feeling all the pretty paper!

Norm, if there is a 12 step program, point the way!

I got the curtains hung and then proceeded to cover 4 magazine boxes with pp so they all match and match the rest of my storage. I unpacked all of my magazines and idea books I cannot part with and organized them into scrapping, card making and general craft.

Did all this in the family room while watching a movie. I love that I have a large scrap space in the family room! I love having a family room, period! This was the main reason I bought this house. I fell in love with the huge loft area and we are making really good use of it!

I went to my MIL's and we scrapped the day away! My DH and 3DD's are upnorth for the weekend and I have been working on an 8x8 album for my middle DD, who is turning 11 next week. So, it has to be done by then. I only have few more pages to do and I think I can get it done tomorrow. It was a lot of fun!

I am working on a cut up collage book this weekend and next week for my one little word for this year, calm.
got it all planned out.. just need some scissor and glue and some time today to make it all happen... it's a 40 page spiral bound book, 20 pages, 40 pages both sides, and I'll be using it all year to chronicle my journey with my one little word, CALM.

I'll be posting pics of my progress on my blog below!
