Patter, if you remember, MONTHS ago I mentioned your calendar and told you that you inspired me to make my own but I was determined to make mine perpetual! Well, finally, I'm uploaded two of them. A picture will HOPEFULLY be below and below that, the link to two of them.

I actually started with my cookbook first but could never figure out how to make it stand up. I saw the metal Bind-it-all stand but wasn't quite what I wanted.

Here is the first page to the calendar with the horses. I got the dies for the horses from Cheery Lynn Designs, they have both small and larger horses. Ruidoso Downs being the home of the All American Futurity, I HAD to have a horse calendar!

I didn't like the printed calendars as well as the stamped ones. I found the Prima 2009 Calendar set on eBay, bought enough to have a month starting with every day of the week. I keep on "permanently" on the QuicKutz rocker stamp bases because I had to cut some calendars up and move around. Saturday starting calendars, for instance! AFTER I found the stamps, I found the Purple Onion calendar set.

I DO have the Close to My Heart calendar set but it is so small. I did use the months to stamp my tabs until I found a set at HL that was the perfect size month stamps.

I can never come up with the style you have, it is beautiful. My style is just more simplistic for lack of a better word. Below is the link to Patter's calendar.

Angie, it turned out so cute! I love all of the sewing pieces you used, and of course pink is perfect. Glad I inspired you, and I am sure you will enjoy it for many years to come.

I did make a new perpetual calendar. I didn't like that the other one took SO much work and would only be used one year. So here is my new one:

Could you link where you got the stand from for your calender? This would be a great idea for my secret sister at church.

Patter, the mini clothespins are a great idea! I've used mini clothespins on a lot of things. I had a recipe card holder for a long time that used a mini clothespin to hold the card up while cooking.

Just me in MI, I could never find a stand so I made mine. It is just some molding and some dowels. I lucked out, I had inherited some tools from my late DH and my current DH set up his drill press for me to make the holes in the big dowel for the smaller one to slip through.

I could have made it with a hack saw and drill like I would have in the past, but fortunately I didn't have to! One of my Christmas presents was the lavender Barbara's Way Stanley toolbag WITH lavender tools!

My sister had given me a WM gift card and I got the pink Skil drill to go with it! It is so tiny and the low RPM will be great for screwing the dowels in the bottom of the base.

I'm making a bunch of stands! Not only am I using them for calendars but I'm also making some cookbooks. I'm working on a mini flip album to give some friends. I'm putting some pictures of their dog and cat that I took and added extra pages to add the grandchildren.

The pink sewing calendar was made for a friend of mine. In fact, I was at her house yesterday. She keeps it in her sewing room and like me, her favorite color is pink! I'm making a pink calendar for me but mine will have Dachshunds, penguins and sewing machines!
