Cali, I've never used Picasa online, but I use it as my main way to organize photos and digital kits on my computer. I've used it both on a Mac and a PC by downloading the program to my laptop.

From there, I tweaked a few settings and then use it to organize, as well as tag photos and supplies so I can find them again.

You don't have to import anything into the program...you just have to tell it to "see" the files you want it to on your computer.

Could you tell me more about what questions you have? And maybe if you are using a Mac or PC?

The best thing to do is get the program and download it, and then maybe ask more questions once you have it installed.

I installed Picassa a while back and never did anything with it. Maybe I should actually see if it's useful to me? I like the thought of tagging supplies.

I installed and have been playing around with Picasa. I really do like it. VERY easy to organize things. It seems easier the the Elements Organizer to me. However, I am finding that I REALLY enjoy Elements so far....

For me, I love elements for digital scrapping, since it's a robust program with lots of cool functionality. I don't prefer to use Picasa to do any editing, because PSE is far superior and Picasa's editing ability is quite limited. I love Picasa for organizing and tagging, though. I loathe the PSE organizer and find it to be quite "craptacular" for organizing...LOL.

And Jen, if you have any questions, I'm happy to try and answer them for you.

I use Picasa for organizing my digi supplies. works well for me Makes it easy for me to find that purple flower or scrap from one kit only or one designer....since i'm an eclectic scrapper, my pages are full of lots of stuff from all over. So I'd be happy to answer any question I can on how I tag and use picasa.
