I've recently jumped on the 6x6 bandwagon and need some ideas for storing them. I did have them in a wire basket on a shelf but I have to many now. Not entirely a bad thing if you KWIM.

What do you use??

Good question. Right now I have them stored in a drawer in my cubes. I'd be interested to hear how other people are organizing them.

THIS white storage cube unit at M's does the trick... fits 2 rows of 6x6 pads upright. I don't store mine within a regular white cube, but you can.

I found some mini crates at my local $1 store that work just right. I keep one crate right on my table all the time so I am reminded to use them up.

I have a had made box that was initally designed for my thickers but I filled it up too quickly. It was coincidentally the perfect size for my 6x6 pads running the other way. I keep it just under my desk within arms reach because I use them all the time

I keep mine in a shelving unit from Hobby Lobby inside baskets from Target. The baskets also hold 8x8's since I have a mixture. Love my storage. You can see it here in the 2nd photo down.

I have mine in canvas bins from Target. I use the bins to store my 8x10 paper and all my other sized paper pads.

I use the Cropper Hopper 6x6 holders. (I love the 12x12 size, so I knew I would really like these.) It looks like they are no longer available though. Yesterday while out shopping, I saw that Art Bin makes a container for 6x6 pads.

I have mine in Ziploc bags at the front of my paper storage file box. I also keep all the scraps in the bag.

One of the brands of paper (Pink Paislee?) the papers are loose and not attached to a pad so it keeps everything contained.

Mine are stored in this:
Number Boxes
Sure, they are intended for kids, but mesh on the front lets me put smaller pieces in the front without forgetting they are there. Plus, I had them on hand

They are 7" wide, so it's easy to flip, and I can offset to one side or the other if I want. And it fits on my expedit, with space next to it. Not quite enough to put two next to each other, but that works for me. I also use another one for paper I've cut down to mat size.

ETA: I like that they are tall, because if the papers are loose (or cut down my me) they don't fall out, or get bent because they are above the sides.

I had found CD storage boxes in the $1 spot at Target. The pads fit inside perfectly! Please excuse the way the box was decorated this gallery post is from 2006!

6x6 Pad Storage

**I just realized the photos are of individual 6x6 papers from a cardmaking kit club I designed stamps for at the time. I don't have photos of the pads in the box but they do fit.

I have just been using magazine holders. I keep thinking I will cut them down but haven't gotten around to it.

I have mine in the photo storage boxes @ M's. The size is perfect and I leave the top off to remind myself to use that paper !! Have used this system for months now and seems to work for me !! Cheap too so I can spend more on paper - get this one , went to M's to get yarn and just happened to glance at the Christmas stuff at 90 % off - well to my delight there were 4 different Christmas 6x6 paper pads.....I doubted that these would be on sale, just my luck someone tossed them into the mix to trick me BUT NO they were - enter drum roll - 59 cents !!! What the hey - I got all four of them and danced out of the store !!!

In a basket thing I got from M's. they fit perfectly! Unfortunately I have way too many 6x6 pads now, so I need to pick up another basket or find a new storage solution.

I like the idea of using photo boxes, I may need to switch some things around!

I have mine in these mini cubeicals from Target. They fit 6 x 6 pads perfectly, as well as CTMH stamp sets. I have 2 6 bin white shelf holders, filled with the fabric mini cubeicals. Very reasonably priced. You can have them on a shelf or desktop. I have mine hanging up in my scrap space, near my desk, but out of the way.
Here is a link to them. I am on an IPad, so hopefully the link will work, or at least you can see it.

In the Creative Spaces magazine by CK that just came out, there's a gal who stores hers in a vintage wood shutter - looks really cute! But I can see outgrowing that storage system if you get a lot of them.
