Here we are in the THIRD week of the new year already!! I'm still having Holiday Hang over. NOT that I drank anything--just the hustle bustle of the Holidays get you worn out!! I'm definitely feeling my age at times. It's also been a lot colder than we usually have here in Southern California (lows in the teens) so I'm a bit stiff!! Guess I might have a touch of arthritis or something. It warms up in the afternoon into the 50's or low 6o's but it sure starts out COLD!

I posted about 35 layouts in the gallery last night--those are my January layouts. I don't think I ever posted many of my December layouts. Maybe I'll get around to that another day!!
If you want to take a gander, here is my gallery--don't feel any pressure!! Deanna's gallery

QOTW: What are your favorite winter activities??

I'd LOVE to play in the snow--but we only have the cold weather, no snow!!

Love your work, I shall be lifting some of your LO. Thank you for sharing.

As for winter activities I usually take my gds'(3 and 4mo.) to a nearby park, but we've had very cold weather(for California)lately, so we've been a bit housebound.

When I was younger and RA free I was always on the ski slopes, but
those days are gone.

We had -6 with a wind chill of -16 this morning! That is a little cold for me. We have had about 15" of snow in the last 3 days with more coming.
I like to cross-country ski, but haven't gone yet because the trails were so icy and now it is sooo cold! My kids ski, snowboard and snowshoe. I guess my favorite winter activity is to sit by the fire with my knitting or my tablet and watch hockey. LOL

Thanks Piapea--lift away!
Sorry about your RA. I'm going to be tested in April for some Autoimmune things, and I'm hoping that isn't a positive one--
Elaine, I've never skied. I think it's interesting, though, that the children in Colorado, when they are in 5th grade, are given a ski pass for that year from one of the ski resorts!! And also given free ski lessons! Isn't that great? Gets them out and lets them enjoy skiing before they get scared of it! It also gets the rest of the family there to enjoy the snow. Quite a marketing achievement!!

Happy Birthday today Deanna - hope it was great!

Here's one from me with Emily's Heart to Heart kit.

XO

My favorite winter activity is sitting by the fire, reading! I really used to like to ski but have had knee problems lately. I'd like to try cross country skiing again, haven't been in years.

Deanna, our local schools take the kids up to the ski hill every day for a week in grade five or six (can't remember which). The resort gives them very cheap lessons but not free - I think its about $80 for the week which includes the rentals, lesson and bus trip up to the hill.

They sure encourage it Deanna. At Boyne Mt. near here, the Bunny Hill is free for everyone all the time. And it is a pretty decent area! Just good business.
