Hey everyone!
So I have been getting a lot of great journaling freebies off of blogs that others have made, but I am wondering if anyone knows how to make your own journaling cards?
Anyone have a link or a youtube video that could help me out? I have googled and googled and no luck.
Thanks! | |

I just cut up my 12x12 patterned paper. I dont really like the cutesy sayings but I was really happy to cut up some older Basic Grey.
Does that count as making your own journaling cards?

Do you have Photoshop? I have made a lot of cute journaling cards in Photoshop Elements...

I cut cardstock to the size I want and add washi, stamps, etc. I have a lines journaling card type stamp but sometimes I just freehand, or I pencil in lines.
If you mean making your own on the computer, you can use PSE or Word... But I am not sure how to describe all the options on a message board post . Can you be more specific about exactly what you want to make?

That's true Ipea - I could just cut up some card stock and stamp or use stickers for a cute saying
Katy - I have been downloading PS Elements for the last hour, haha. It is almost done, I figured that would be a good starting point. Is it easy to just figure out, or is there a tutorial out there somewhere?

I know it is hard to explain, that's why I asked more for a youtube or other tutorial that could show me

Those are cute!
I taught myself the basics of PSE but I am pretty computer savvy. My biggest issue would be that I personally can't draw at all. So the bird bit would be hard for me.
Two peas sells digital content and you could use those to put something together. You can also just do a simple colored frame or lines and then add typed text without too much trouble.
I know Jessica Sprague has a bunch of PSE classes but I think they are more about photo editing.
Try Googling "make digital scrapbooking elements" or maybe try the digital scrapbooking forum here for folks with more expertise!

If you are wanting to use stuff out of your stash. I've started seeing PL 3x4 and 4x6 sketches on pinterest.

on her blog, cathy zielske shows how to create journal cards using PSE I believe. Ali Edwards is also a good resource for using PSE. Jessica Sprague may also have some freebie tutorials.

I have been making a ton on my Silhouette using print and cut. I just imported the basic card which is a free download on jessicasprague.com, traced it and used the trace to make cards. I have all sorts of patterns and cut files, so I put together all these parts and made some journaling cards.
