I havent scrapped in a long time, but have made the decision to get back into it. I know CK is the main option, but is there anything else anymore? I used to really like the BHG one... whatever it was called. Any good deals on CK?

|Posted: 1/21/2013 3:13:13 PM|Sadly, SB Etc. (the BH&G publication) stopped being published in Aug of 2012. It was my favorite. I cancelled my subscription to CK a few years ago. I know there are some Peas that sub to an online mag but I don't know what that is. I really miss getting my sb magazines in the mail.

Sometimes I am able to buy "Scrapbooking," a British scrapbooking magazine at Barnes & Noble or Joann's. It comes shrink wrapped with a packet of paper for about $12.
|Posted: 1/21/2013 4:11:44 PM|There is also Scrap 365 which is a British magazine, not sure how easy it is for you to get hold of over there, but it's a nice magazine

I like Scrapbook Trends. Kind of expensive. I LET CK go...not the same as it use to be.

That stinks about BHG. I thought about just going ahead & subscribing to CK, but maybe I'll get a copy at the store first and then decide.

I sometimes pick up the double pack of Scrapbooking and Beyond with Paper Creations at Sams Club. That only comes out seasonally (4x a year).
I like the UK mags and they come with a bonus stamp or papers or something with each issue, but too expensive for me unless I've got a coupon - which is rare to use nowadays because JoAnn's keeps them 10% off almost all the time. I was bummed because they never went off sale around the holidays and they had one with a Holly Hobby stamp set.

Canadian Scrapbooker is a great magazine. It's a bit expensive but it is THICK and jam packed with ideas.

I subscribe to Scrapbook Trends and yes, it's kinda pricey but if you wait, they offer discounts and I think mine averages out to about $ 6.75 a mag which is way reasonable. I wanted to buy the Scrap 365 but it was only avail at BAM for like $ 16 so I left it!

I would deffinately buy a mag to check it out before subscribing. I don't know about others but I don't think they are nearly as good as they used to be.
You can get so much inspiration from blogs and pinterest and you tube that the mags don't compare - that's just my opinion though. I know there are others that still love getting a mag in the mail every month

I would also suggest you buy a CK magazine and check it out before subscribing to it. I've found that most of their layouts get posted to their pinterest board, so it's just the articles you miss out on. I get more inspiration from the 2 peas videos than I do the articles in the magazine.
