Since we are going to be at Disney for a few days I might try and squeeze this in. My dd is going to be 13, and I will be 40 and birthdays are one day apart.

I was thinking what could we do for our birthdays. THis would be perfect. She would love it.

I looked online, its pretty expensive but if I start saving now, I will have it paid for before we leave in June.

Can you tell me how it was, My dh has no interest in swimming with the sea life as he says. Can he take pictures or is he not allowed by the area we will be at.

I also see its only 30 mins are there other things to do included in this price?

ALso lets talk about, because that's pretty important. I see all food breakfast and lunch and snacks are included,

Fruit slushes also are those with alcohol????

How was the food? Good?

Any tips for us?

The food is EXCELLENT. Make sure you eat their breakfast, then eat lunch #1 early, then eat lunch #2 right before they stop serving.

Drinks are included. Alcoholic and non.

The dolphin swim is OK. If you do that, your DH won't be able to take pics because the professional photog will be taking them and they will want to sell you a million overpriced photo packages after your dolphin swim. Your DH can take pics of you doing everything else. I wouldn't pay that kind of money just for him to come in and take pics though. Sounds like a waste.

THanks Yubon,
Lunch 1 and 2 made me laugh. Do we have to wear the wetsuits all day or just dolphin time?

We have been 3 times. Dd and dh did the dolphin excursion once, dd did it by herself once and dd and I did it together once. My son has never wanted to do it.

That being said, the dolphin swim is only one small part of this day. We LOVE Discovery Cove and the escape that it brings. It's so peaceful and serene and just beautiful. It's always one of our favorite parts of our vacation to Florida.

Dd and I are going without dh and ds in a few months and we're having a hard time convincing ourselves not to take a day and go!

Depending on what "pod" you are in, your dh may be able to use a long zoom and get pictures but they won't be a perfect angle. He will not be allowed in the water unless he purchases the dolphin excursion.

Personally, we have bought the pictures two of the times we went. It's a nice memory to have. Is it overpriced? Yeah. But I figure when I consider the cost of the day, I at least want to have photos to remember it by! We buy the disc that has all of our photos from the entire day. This includes the dolphin swim, the reef, the aviary, and any other shots you have taken throughout the day). Then I can print whatever photos I want because it comes with a release.

The food is very good. Snacks are available all day. I have never eaten lunch twice (?) but we do have breakfast, lunch and a few snacks/drinks throughout the day. Everything has always been great!
