I'm signed up. I just hope I can be active with it. I've been working 55+ hrs/wk, so not much time left for living. I'm excited, but afraid I won't get much done. This is my second LOAD, the last one I actually did a layout a day.

Yes, it's $50. There were discounts earlier like $10 off but you had to sign up early. If you're interested for next time, you can get on the mailing list so you know about the discounts
I get it free because I'm a member of the Scraphappy.org website but I would be fine paying $50 for LOAD. You get 28 days of a video on your inbox when you wake up with a layout prompt, accountability, encouragement, a message board, a gallery to share your layouts (if you choose) and to see what others are doing with the same prompts, and PRIZES!
Totally worth it to me |

I am doing LOAD in February. I have done multiple LOADs in the past and while I have never completed the challenge of doing an actual layout a day, I do get a lot of layouts complete and the prompts are creative inspiration for a long time. When I get into a creative rut, I can go back and watch the video or read the prompt and I'm inspired all over again. | |

I don't have any tips because it's my first time too. Have you watched all the Flickr videos? I did a few of them and they're really helpful. I'm saving all the LOAD-related links to one folder in my bookmarks so I can easily find them when the time comes. I think I'll save all the videos there too so I don't have look through my e-mails. |

This is only my second one, but I would just say to make sure you have photos printed (or ready to print if you print at home) and you're stocked up on adhesive.
If the daily prompt doesn't work for you, then you can just do what you want. The purpose is to get you motivated to get layouts done, no pressure and no harassing you if you don't get it done. 
As Journey Fan said, it's such a positive and encouraging group.

I'm in! My screen name is LynetteMN (so original). This is the first time I've done the class, but years ago I did a LOAD challenge on another message board, which proved to be a HUGE kickstart to my scrapping that year. So I'm hoping for the same effect this year! I don't have much time for weeknight scrapping, so I figure I have to be very productive on the weekends, and am glad the month starts on a Friday so I can get a head start! |

I am! I'm hoping to actually scrap a page a day. I have visions of a completed album full of memories at the end of the month! So excited. I am going through and ordering some pictures to be printed tonight in order to be prepped and ready. I'd hate to run out of ink at the last minute on my home printer! I totally think it's worth it. I knew I wanted to start doing the LOADs because I really need a kick in the pants to get layouts done in 2013. I was pretty unproductive in 2012 and very frustrated about that. So the cost of the LOADs alone almost pays for the Scraphappy membership.
Then you get SOOOOO many other freebies, e-mails, encouragement, the message board, scrapinars, classes, etc. I've been very "happy" with it |

...I'm on the fence about this one-- I've always wanted to take LOAD, and I AM itching to get back into creating actual layouts now that I've got my purging and organizing almost done. But I'm not sure about whether I'll actually be able actually to DO a 'layout a day' just because I've never been good at following through with ANYthing creative on a daily basis in the past...

Oh I wish I could do LOAD in Feb. I tried doing my own LOAD once last year and I completed a lot of layouts, but doubt I can get anything done this year. Maybe after the summer I can join once my life levels out a bit.

Lain did a Scrapbook Improv last night ... so fun (free, anyone can attend these). She mentioned a special on Scraphappy membership in February - then you get all LOADs for free.

Yay Crystal! I'll look for you. Are you worried about keeping up? Me too!
On the LOAD mb, there's a thread about getting ready for LOAD. It's making me feel better because many former LOAD'ers are saying not to stress too much on anything. Get done what you can and don't worry about the rest. Also, kind of like "progress not perfection." Each layout doesn't have to be a masterpiece. Just get those 28 memories down and think how good you're going to feel about it |

Mikki, that's exactly the experience I'm hoping for. I'm super busy so I don't know how realistic 28 layouts in a month is for me. But even if I do half of that, it will be more than I've been doing without the motivation of a LOAD challenge.

I had to change my screenname over there I am Crystal loves polkadots I think. I did upload a picture and shared it in the group so I have that part down. I am worried about keeping up but I am not going to stress so much, i just need a kick in the pants to get GOING! This will be my 5th LOAD. I have completed all of the layouts during 2, and only some layouts in the other 2. Don't be too hard on yourself if you aren't able to complete all of the layouts. At least you are giving it a shot, and probably making more pages than you would if you weren't doing LOAD.

I am signed up for load from Australia, so I don't know how that will work with posting layouts into the right gallery section on Flickr. I also only have about 3/12 hours a day to myself, which has to fit in house work etc. I have a son who only goes to school 4 hrs per day, and needs lots of attention at home. I also don't know what I'll do on some days re the themes she has chosen for this load - I don't really take photos of my possessions and one of the others seemed a bit not me too. But I'm going to try my darndest! The last one I really enjoyed being part of but didn't get too many layouts done - hoping for more this time. Scrap Happy name is same as here and Flickr is lmrpics153.

v, you'll get an e-mail from Lain telling you what to do next. There will be a link to the gallery and message board, some how-to videos, etc. There's also a FAQ page about LOAD. If you have time, I would look through all that now so when LOAD starts on Friday you're ready to go out of the shoot!
