I hadn't realised until I installed the 2Peas app on my iPad that this was considered the "cardmaking" forum, so I probably posted the details in the wrong forum....

But for anyone interested there's a challenge running again this year where I post a prompt every Monday to my blog to create a card a week with the added bonus of creating a Christmas card based on the same prompt so that come December there's a nice pile of cards already made and ready to send out.

The thread is here with more details and where I hope anyone who fancies playing along will share their makes.

We're on week 4 now, but it's intended to be a no-stress kind of challenge and simply provides added inspiration for any cardmakers out there who want a regular cardmaking fix.

Well, I would not have seen it until maybe now or maybe a few days ago if you had posted it here first. I have been increasing my drive-bys on this board because they're getting ready for Winterfest.

But I've only done one card for this, and I kind of think you might get better participation from these stampers than the scrappers are giving you. Just my 2 cents.

Good Idea! I will try to check it out when I can.

Just a thought, it would help me if you came back to this thread each week and posted a link to the particular week's blog post.

Sure I can post the links to this thread too otherwise do you think it's possible to ask a mod to move the original thread from general scrapping? That would probably be easier and make more sense than running two threads...

Now you get 4 cents from me. Post a second thread here and let the chips fall where they may on the other one. If you're not updating it weekly over on General Scrapping, it will sink in no time.

If you get good participation, you will eventually want to not keep every week on the same thread anyhow. When threads get really long, they take longer to load. There is a thread that is about 25 pages on the GS board right now, it's noticeably slower to load than when it was shorter, and I have fast Internet. I'm guessing on phones and some internet services, it would be even slower.

I was thinking the same thing Ellen, I think I just need to start fresh in this forum as it makes most sense and hopefully fellow cardmakers will see it. It's not exclusively a stamping challenge, but as there is no real cardmaking forum (except on the phone app and it turns out to be this forum!) then this seems the logical place to be. I'll simply start a new thread over here in the stamping forum tomorrow and just end the General scrapping thread with a link to the new post over here. We'll get it straight one way or another!
If the thread becomes busy (which would be nice ) then I can post weekly threads rather than keep it in one. We shall see how it goes.

Also thanks so much for the lovely comment Christin! I'm glad you liked your visit.

Hey there, it sounds like you got it sorted out. I visited your blog too and I saw your Cameo card that I had commented on in the Gallery here. That one was a stunner. I hope you get a lot of participation too, makes it fun for everyone.
