When you all buy a collection, do you buy the kit with paper, element stickers etc or do you pick and choose the paper and quantity, pieces that you you like etc?.

Some of both, it depends on the collection! if I love it all and its a good deal, I have purchased the whole collection, and other times just pick and choose.

So much help, huh?

I used to buy it all, then for a few years, I bought generic embellies to go with my papers. Now I find myself choosing the papers from the collections and 1-2 embellies in the collection. It works out well for me with just a few leftovers.

I always buy piece by piece. I never like all of the papers in a collection, even with the b-sides considered. Plus a lot of times I do double page layouts, so I need more than one piece. I have purchased a couple of Echo Park kits and find that I never use the stickers either. Now chipboard, I love. But stickers, not so much.

I buy a lot - maybe not the whole line, but as much as I can! I love having things that coordinate for a quick card or LO.

Depends on the collection. I'll usually pick & choose the papers I like, sometimes getting 2 of the same if I like both sides. Embellishments typically depend on what the actual embellishments look like. I was at Archivers the other night and got a lot of product in 3-4 different collections. One I loved pretty much everything so I got a lot of the paper, a booklet of quote cards, stickers, chipboard pieces AND Thickers that matched the colors. In another line I got a paper pad since I loved all the papers, then got alpha stickers, regular stickers and some coordinating gem embellishments. Another one I got a set of brads and a 12x12 sticker sheet that had alpha letters and shaped stickers to go with the paper. It definitely varies depending on what that line offers and what pieces I like.

If I LOVE the collection, I buy the whole thing. Or two. And a 6x6 pad and stickers and . . .

But in general, I find myself picking and choosing. I'd rather have two of a paper that I really like than one I like and one I don't. I tend to only get embellishment packs I really like, too - I have no use for bows or straight pins or the like.

I don't use a heap of embellishments so theres not really any point in me buying everything. Plus there are lots of types of embelishments that I never use - like brads.

I used to buy collection packs alot but I found that I wasn't using them all and even though I was saving money by buying it as a pack it was a waste because I was only using some of it.

I bought everything in the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook line and two of every paper, but I've got alot of it still to get through. It's nice to have the option of everything, but the reality is that I'm not going to use it before the next lot of awesomeness comes out. I'd rather have a few bits from many lines than heaps of one line.

I usually buy paper collection with stickers and alphas that's included in it and sometimes brads or rub-ons or something like that from the this collection. Not because they are the same (which is nice though), but because I love colors or patterns

I don't buy the whole collection. I don't like buying kits. I like to pick and choose what pieces I like.

I rarely buy the whole kit. If it's less expensive or just a couple more dollars to buy the collection pack I'll do that, but most of the time I don't. For the last two collections I bought, I ordered 4-5 papers and one pack of embellishments for one and just 5 papers without any embellishments for the other.

I buy what I know I will use, sometimes it might be the whole collection.
If it's Echo Park, chances are I will buy everything. 13.00 seems like a greaT deal to me.
If it's october afternoon I try to get the sticker, chipboard, brads and papers. But I know I will use them not necessarily togerher.
AC and sisters lines I cherry pick a lot.
Other companies I will be cherry picking.
With the 2 simple stories i bought last year I didn't cherry picked and I regret it. Is just not me.

I usually buy the collection pack. If it's a hit-or-miss line to me, I'll cherry pick it.

I usually pick and mix collections, and I'll only buy embellishments if I'm sure I will use them as I find they pile up quickly if I don't match them with other papers! The advantage for me with pick and mix is if there is a paper which lends itself to being a background, but I also like the other side, then I will buy two of that sheet because I'm not buying the other papers I don't want to use.

If I'm completely nuts about a line I would buy the collection pack, and sometimes a couple of duplicates if there are ones I really want to use. I've also bought 6x6 pads for a couple of collections that I've wanted more of and use them for embellishments or making die cuts so I'm not using all the bigger sheets for little things.

If I really like the collection ill but the entire line, but sometimes I only like a few things from each! So it really all depends on what collection I'm looking at.. When I first started scraping I though I needed everything In ever collection in order to scrap.. Lol glad I learned later on how easy it is to mix and match products and still have it look good!

I almost never buy a kit.

Nearly every line has a sheet or 2 or 3 that aren't for me.

I like to choose the ones I like, and double up on solids or favorite prints. Plus, I want to choose the embellishments I prefer as well.

Usually pick and choose. But the last time I bought PP it was a whole collection pack, with the stickers even. One recent time before that, I bought a kit LSS had put together, which had different brands of paper, stickers, brads and ribbon. I wanted it for a project that had way more photos than LSS's example did, so I used only a few pieces on that layout, and two others, and still have most of the paper, most of the stickers and all the brads and ribbon pieces.

7 years to get here... So now what?

Well, there used to be a time not so long ago when I had three LSS to shop at... At that time I always bought just what I wanted-never the entire collection. However, now that I have no choice but to shop online, when I like the paper I have to buy the entire collection! As for embellishments, I only buy what I love because I tend to make most of my own stuff now with my Cameo.

I buy what I like. 99% of the time that means 2 of this paper, 1 of that paper, 4 of that paper etc. and then the embellishments that I know I will use. The last order I placed had 20 papers with 7 designs and 3 pack of embellishments from one collection and then bits and pieces from other lines that I thought went well together.

It depends...most of the time I only buy my favorite pieces. I have to REALLY love it to buy the collection pack, much less the full price embellies...but occasionally, I do!
