So I've tried lots of photo developers recently...
-my local Walgreen's have gotten pretty dark recently
-Snapfish had good quality, but the size isn't quite 4x6, and the photos aren't quite true rectangles!
-Persnickity Prints (which I know most Peas love) had poor quality for my order
-Shutterfly (which I just received today) - most of the photos are slightly blurry (and they're reprints, so when comparing I know it's the processing, not the actual images)
Grrr!! It shouldn't be this hard to get decent photos without paying a ton!
Anyways, does anyone use Ritzpix? Any reviews?
My other option would be Costco, but I find their upload process to be really tedious. Maybe I'll just have to deal with it, though.
Thanks! | |

Love them...we have a local store here, so I've made friends with the developer...he knows exactly what I'm looking for and never fails to deliver in terms of quality, color, etc....and I LOVE adding black borders to my prints...
That's been my experience since 2004 when I started using them...

Yes I've used them before and loved them. But it's been awhile. I would hope they are still really good.
I'm surprised about your Shutterfly prints. Did you contact their customer service?

I have had nothing but great experiences with RitzPix! Unfortunately, both our local stores have closed, so I'd have to order online.

Thanks for the replies! I think I'll try them for my next batch of photos.
Sheltieluvr - I did contact customer service, but it was just this afternoon that I received my order, so I haven't heard back yet. I'm pretty sure that previous Shutterfly orders were good, so hoping they can fix it.

Ritzpix is awesome! I buy my 4x6s through them. Great prices and if you spend $30 they will ship for free.
I highly recommend them

I use Ritzpix and love them. NO local store so I do my ordering on-line. I really just think their color saturation is the best around.

I worked as a lab manager at one for 6 years. Most of the stores are great! You'll occasionally have a bad employee here or there but that's anywhere. I will say that I'm super picky bc of working there so long and I have a hard time trusting other places with my pictures. I use ritzpix (when there's one nearby) and Mpix (online). My one piece of advice would be that if there's something you don't like about the pics you receive from ritzpix, let them know!! Different customers have different preferences when it comes to tone (warm vs. cool) and density (brightness). Once I got to know my customers I knew how different regulars preferred their prints. Plus Wolf Camera & Ritz (same company) has a policy that when you develop prints you must QA by wearing gloves and flipping through every order to check for overall quality.
Hope that helps! Good luck!!

Ritz is great, but the nearest Ritz I knew of has closed, and I think the next nearest one has now too. They weren't as close as WG, and my WG does a good job.
