My mom is an avid sewer and while she likes my crafty/scrappy projects, she has zero interest in scrapbooking . I promised her that I would make her an album of her cruise she recently went on if she would buy all of the supplies. So, I took her to Archiver's yesterday. She has never been there. I LOVE Archiver's and can easily spend hours there just looking, but rarely buy anything.

Anyway, she zeroed in on the ribbons and went CRAZY!!! I swear she bought a ton! She let me have free reign on her cruise album, so I got to pick out items on my own. It was like Christmas for me. I went a little crazy too. She kept telling me not to worry about the cost, and she let me "sneak" in a few items for myself.

So much fun! I have a feeling my mom will want to go to Archiver's again soon. LOL

Cute story and fun memory to have!

I remember my mom calling me while she was in Archiver's and having a borderline panic attack because she was so overwhelmed by all the stuff. She never could get into scrapbooking or papercrafting but was an amazing sewer. It was still very sweet that she tried to get into it because my sister and I both like to scrap.

An A's shopping trip is always fun. Glad you had a fun time especially shopping with your mom. I will be spending part of my Sunday at A's.

Just found out I have drive my FIL to Columbus for a dr. Appt. I will be making an Archivers stop!

My Mom goes to scrapbook expo with me every year. She buys things just like she is really into scrapping. Her heart belongs to quilting but I appreciate having her with me!

That's so cute I don't have an archives near me but before Christmas my mom and I took a drive to the closest hobby lobby and we had a blast. I loved there scrappy section and myomere loved all the Christmas stuff they had. My mom is crafty but with making stuff for the house. It's about an hour an half away but we are planning to go back soon

Spending time with Mom is the best, isn't it!!

My Mom and I scrappy shop together too, but she is on a fixed income, so I tend to pay for her purchases. She is a very frugal scrapper, only buys for projects in mind, while I on the other hand, buy & buy & buy with no specific purpose in mind.
