So my mom's LSS is closing (I am a fan on FB with the store)... so I called my mom to get down there to get me some deals. So she is there and looking around. The only thing I could come up with is OA items, which she did find a little bit of. It's so hard from the top of my head to start asking her 'do they have this or that'...cause she doesn't know the names of paperlines, etc.

She has no smart phone.. so we are trying to pick up some goodies just by her walking around... Ackkk it's killing me. I just know there is something I HAVE to have... lol

Have her hand the phone over to an employee! That would be hard!

Go with categories:
basic cardstock colors
card envelopes
brads
buttons
ribbon in basic colors
collection packs (Echo Park, Simple Stories, Bella Blvd - whatever YOUR go to brands are)
flowers
border stickers (12 in long basics)
storage and organization pieces

How sad they are closing. Hope you get some deals.

See if they are selling any fixtures like paper racks. Those are pretty fantastic and I have heard of people getting great deals.

I agree with basics. Do you use Thickers? Or pick some favorite lines and have her ask an employee to point her in that direction. Depending on the LSS maybe some embellishments like washi to enamel dots?

All the 'good' fixtures are pretty much gone. She was out of town when the sale started..

card stock is good...

I definitely don't need ribbon, brads or buttons..lol

I'll ask her if there are any collection packs.

That's my problem.. I can't remember a lot of names.... OA is on my brain because of the Santa boxes but the rest is a blur...

Of course, adhesives. Any tools you've had on your wish list? Tiny attacher, punches, embossing folders and such?

What about ink pads? Can never have enough of those...

LOL. That's actually how I started scrapbooking. I was on bedrest for my first pregnancy and saw a Michaels ad and thought I'd maybe make a baby book. I sent DH, and his office had given him a cellphone (back in 1998) and he called me from pretty much every aisle, saying, "Do you want this color or this color? Regular scissors or squiggly scissors?" He's the one who went with 8.5x11 and I've stuck to it.

After I finished that first baby book I asked him if he wanted me to continue or just put photos in an album. He said he liked reading the story behind the photos and to continue, so now I always tell him that he has no one to blame but himself.
