I've been considering "pinning" the layouts I like so that I can have all of my scrabook page references in one place, rather than bookmarking to my account. Would make it easier for me when I'm cropping to have them all in one location, rather than searching multiple websites and sources for the layouts I like.
How do you feel about people pinning your layouts? It does expose you to more views, some people may be fine with that, some may not? I know I don't mind. Just wondering how others feel about it?

I think most people would be flattered. In general, you don't post something to the Internet if you're not willing to share in the first place!

Pinning layouts is an awesome way to keep track of the ones that you love. I've got hundreds of layouts pinned. As for how people would feel, well I think that if you post a layout anywhere on the internet, you have to be prepared for that!

I love Pinning layouts. I have hundreds Pinned to my scrapbooking layout board, and love just scrolling through it when I need some inspiration.
If you are very concerned about someone not wanting her layout Pinned, you could Peamail them and ask. But I truly think people post their layouts online to share and inspire and would be flattered and happy to know you wanted to use their work for inspiration.

I d feel that if your comfortable enough to put it online then you should be comfortable knowing that your stuff might get pinned. I take it as a compliment when someone pins my stuff.

I have been pinning them. I went to a weekend crop last week and it was easy to pull up my Pinterest app and it was easy to pull up and scroll through all my favorites for inspiration.

Another one here who pins. I LOVE looking at my scrapbooking board and getting instant inspiration. There are a thousand little ideas to scraplift, in infinite configurations, right there in one spot.
Of course, if you're really concerned about offending the original poster, you could always create a secret board. If you're only using it for your own purposes, I think that would be a good compromise.

I don't want to give up one for the other, I do both....you never know when a feature may go away...like when scrapbookpictures.com went out of business there were some photos I stored there that I realized later were nowhere else...I don't back up everything on my hard drive and face it sooner or later this Mac will be switched out for another....so having things I like in more than one spot is the way to go for me.

I would be flattered. I am bookmarking instead of Pinning layouts just because that's my habit. Long before I discovered Pinterest, I had pages upon pages of Bookmarks here, and it's just easier to keep doing it that way.
I am pinning inspirational art journal pages, even if I see them here, because this isn't usually the board I get that kind of inspiration from.

I get excited when someone repins one of my pins. I think if someone repinned something I had created myself I would wet my pants!!!
I think the whole point of putting stuff on the web is for people to tell you they like it so I'm pretty sure most people would be pleased.
Unless its a Pinterest fail. That's where my stuff would end up

Flattered. I actually am still doing both mostly because it's harder pinning from my iPad.

I like pinning as well. I find a lot of scrapping inspiration over on Pinterest as it is so I find it a lot easier to pin layouts etc that I find in the gallery here to my boards there so that they're all in one place.

I pin and bookmark. I don't see why anyone would be upset. They shared it on the internet to begin with.

I'd love if someone would pin a layout, or card, I created. I'd be totally flattered and it would make me feel better about the projects I've done.
I agree with everyone else too, if you're comfortable posting it on the internet, you should be comfortable with someone pinning or bookmarking it for future use.

Pinterest is such a fantastic tool. I use it a lot for scrapbooking and PL. I love the layout. They have discussed this topic on Paperclipping Roundtable a couple of times and the general idea was "pin all you want!" especially for scrapbookers who also do this as a business, pinterest is free publicity. "Be kind and give appropriate credit" is about the only suggestion I've ever heard.
Personally, if you see a pin of one of my layouts, please let me know so I can squee and eee I would be absolutely flattered.
