I'm actually kind of out of sorts tonight.

I have two kids and a husband, so it usually seems like I'm never alone. Well, tonight my ds decided to go to bed early (he's been sick) and my dd is in her room with the door closed singing along to her ipod. My husband is working the night shift tonight, so he's been in bed asleep since 2:00 or so.

And here I sit. I'm always wanting some "me" time, but now that I have it I'm not really sure how to handle it! If I get super ambitious here in a bit I might attempt to go through some plastic totes that I brought home from storage to look through. Or maybe not.

Watching "the Pirate Movie". Was hoping all the cheese would cheer me up. I forgot how dirty this movie is!

it's almost over. Was thinking of putting the new Footloose on next. Or maybe starting a new-to-me TV series on Netflix. Anyone have recommendations?

Just hanging out right now. Took DD babysitting earlier and picked her up. She has another gig tonight. It's about 30 minutes away and only 2 hours (new family), so I'm just going to hang around down in the area to get her.

Maybe hit a bookstore, coffee, dinner or something with DS.

Organized my room a bit. Moved my computer to the opposite side of the room. The sun coming through the window in the afternoon was making it hard to see the monitor.

I almost put a laundry table in my room so I could work on it while watching TV. Want to put some baskets underneath for small items. Exciting huh?

This is me sometimes too!

Tonight I'm waiting for 15 to DD and her boyfriend to bring home sushi for dinner.
DS and other DD and I are watching DVR'd episodes if "Duck Dynasty". The big kids are going to a birthday party later and Ruby wants me to put a streak if blue in her hair.

Fun times here! Kid centered.

Sitting at home myself. Worked 12 hours today and didn't get off until 11 am, so I decided to just stay up the rest of the day and sleep like a normal person tonight and tomorrow night. Living the dream here in MI.

On the plus side, I have my laundry almost done, worked on decorations for my DN's baby shower and did a few chores that needed to be done.

I had a yuck day. No reason, it was just yuck. I should have taken my DGS sledding or some other activity to jar my endorphins but I just didn't have it in me. The whole week has felt like this.

I've been laying on the couch with the beagle watching Investigation Discovery for a couple hours now. Yea me.

Crazy long day of service activities and sports and we finally got home around 7:30. DH promptly fell asleep on the couch. So I'm watching Contagion from the dvr and wondering why the hell Gwynneth Paltrow would ever cheat on Matt Damon anyway.

I slept in today and skipped my Saturday morning hike (bad). Dh and I went to a hockey game with his parents and then out to dinner, ds is sick and dd went to a Supercross thing with a friend. I'm debating about changing out of my comfortable clothes to make a Target run.

Sorry you're dealing with teen drama...no fun.

I have a hairline fracture in 2 bones in my wrist. As soon as it happened Thursday morning, I was glad for a quiet weekend. ODS is with his dad. DH spent part of last night and today playing card games. He purposely took the car seat both times so I couldn't go anywhere. I spent most of the day washing diapers and playing with the baby between medication and naps.

DH came home with Judge Dredd, the latest Bourne movie and a new wrestling video game. Im ready to choke on testosterone. I'm actually thinking about folding laundry just so i can watch Netflix in our room. But I finished a series last night and I'm not sure what to watch.

all I know is that i cant do a lot of stuff and Im going nuts. Basically, if it's not on my phone, i can't do it. That should change once the swelling in under control, but it takes time. At least I get to go out and hang with friends a little while tomorrow. At a gymnastics meet for ODS. At 8 am.

DS(16)meeting his friends at Applebees at 10pm for half price appetizers. I get to stay awake until 12 to go pick him up. Been up since 8 shoveling snow that melted anyway. So sore and tired. DD was going to get him but she now magically has plans.

the receipe was good!! I forgot the parsley --dh said the dish needed some color. so next time I will add it. it was easy with few ingredients. I really like the broccoli/chicken salad right below it in the magazine...it was very good and everyone liked it.

dh has high chloesterol so I am trying some different food. made the noodles tonight with no egg noodles.

LOL Scoobers!!! That is one of my favorite movies of all time. I hate those people too!!

Funny based on that movie: one of my friends had a little run in with a real life fox - lots of screaming involved (from a grown man). I taught my then 4 year old DS to go "f-o-x fox". Just like the kid in that movie.

I'll join the ranks of the bored and out of sorts too - I'm floundering for some reason today - but muddling through. My DD is on the moody side today, hubby's at work, and I have been doing odds-and-ends all day at a slow rate...I am just feeling sluggish today. Keep stopping by here to Pea and in general I am getting caught up for too long online. I went on my DD's school website and see she's not doing well in Algebra , that has me down tonight because she's so resistant to extra help of any kind. But other than that it's fine with me to be home on a Saturday night -- I'm a homebody at heart.

I posted about my dd's friend drama. Then I have drama at work with a traveling staff memmber that is an arrogant prick..and then I have had some good old women problems. yea...pretty blah...
That and my usual friends I can vent to seem all to be about THEM, them. It's sort of discouraging..and like...WHY do I even try. ha

I spent my day in a hot smelly gym for a youth wrestling tournament. That involved my dh up and out of the house at 6:00 am, me having to get kids ready and out by 11:00, drop youngest off at grandparents, have older one at weigh-in at 12;00, sit ALL day and watch kids wrestle and then back track after 7:00pm to get everyone home.

I can think of a million other things my Saturday could have involved but my son got 4th in his weight class so I guess the 100 miles I put on my car and the 7 hours on my butt in the stands were worth it.

During wrestling season I do not feel like I have a family!

I'm sitting up waiting for the police to show up next door to ask them to turn down their music. I feel like an ass for giving in and calling but it's been going on since 8 this morning. It is louder than my tv even with all the windows and doors closed. There's a language barrier or I would have gone over and asked them to please turn it down.

Spent the day taping and painting a room. I'm so ready for all this redecorating crap to be done. Then we start an addition, though, so I am just telling myself by the end of the year everything will be completed. It's only supposed to take 6-8 weeks once they start the addition but I'm not getting my hopes up
