We've been talking about how it seems IMPOSSIBLE to use up a whole role of washi - well, my friend Jess Amazing has done it! One down, 99 to go!

Wow! I think that's the first time I've heard of someone finishing a roll of washi!
She certainly has a few others to fill that empty space now... |

Amiee, it was a roll of MT plain black, and she also used it for some home decor projects. Totally legal!

I can report that I, too, have used a whole roll. I used a whole roll of K&Company smash tape - black with white dots. I've also used most of the second roll. And those are larger than standard rolls!

I'm just about to finish my first roll of washi. I'm so sad. I only use it on layouts. It is my favourite and I can't seem to locate anymore of a similar tone/colour to replace it. |

We've used a few rolls at my house, but I have 2 dd's and they use it anytime they need tape. At first I was really protective of it and wouldn't share Then I realized how long the rolls last so I let them dive in. They use it to wrap gifts, create art, scrapbook, try to tape each others' mouths closed... It's very useful stuff.

I used up TWO rolls last fall. I made the shout outs for DD's play and the sign advertising them. I used Washi tape for the border and about a 1" piece of tape on the shout outs. That's a lot of shout outs, 1" at a time! But it was a really cheap embellishment, when I had so many to make. |

I would be sad to use up my washi
I bought two rolls of my most favorite kraft/white chevron, because I was afraid I might use it up and never find it again. |

See, together, it this kind of thinking that gets me into trouble.
Or not USING my stash because I'm SAVING it. Which is stupid. Which I do anyway.
So I've been telling my self that USING my favorite stuff IS the best way to *save* it. Forever. On my LO. |

Wow, well done to her!
I'm close to finishing a roll that I bought just last September for use on a double album project - mostly, I think, because I used it to make stripes across a LO (which was duplicated so technically two LOs). It got plenty of other usage during the project, too. But that's the only one I'm close to so far, although my OA pink chevrons and birds on a wire tapes might be close behind soon...
ETA: Oh! I also thought of something fun to try for those interested... I'm also a sewer/quilter and I know some women who write the date on the inside of their big seger spools so that they can see how long it takes them to use it up. Wouldn't it be fun to try the same thing with a fresh roll of washi tape?

I've explained to them that that's what duct tape is for, but I won't let them use the decorative duct tape for that. Washi just doesn't stick to skin well enough to be effective

I haven't finished a roll of washi yet, but I DID find a new use for it last wk.
Our daughter came home from playing intramural basketball with TWO sprained ankles. Of course, we couldn't find the little clips that hold the ACE wraps in place - so I pulled out the washi for that night. (We were icing the ankles and didn't' want tape so strong that it would end up too tight as the ankles kept swelling. Washi worked pretty well!)
In the am we switched to found safety pins.

I have to admit, it was pretty darn gratifying to finish that roll... though also a little annoying because it ran out when I was 1/8" from the edge, so I had to alter my plan a little...
but funny as it is, despite having *just a few* others to choose from, I was really missing that plain black tape for the rest of the night. Go figure... |
