I officially finished my photobook. My photobook was a 12x12 book and ended up at 111 pages which is the maximum number of pages that you can add. Right now, the current promotion is 50% off which put the book, not including tax just over $100. I needed a minimum of 5 copies of the book and I really wanted a 6th copy for one other person. That is a lot of money! Well, Coaliesquirrel sent me an EXTRA 40% coupon code that she had and was not going to be able to use. She was placing an order herself but if she used the code, it would take away her free shipping and would be very little benefit. THANK YOU SO MUCH for letting me use your coupon code!! You are awesome!!

Note...........someone below had asked if you could stack coupons......I used the 40% off code that coaliesquirrel sent me and then I used the ship30 code to give me free shipping and it allowed those with no problem. The space to enter codes was still available so I guess if I had other codes, it would have let me use those too.

OP below:
If you have ordered Shutterfly photo books and used their standard shipping, how long does it typically take for you to receive your books?

Also, the current promotions will let me get the books 50% off and free standard shipping. Are there any other coupon codes that I am not finding that any of you know about that I can use? These books are very expensive so I need all the help I can get on the cost. Many times, Shutterfly will offer and extra 20% off, on top of the 50% and free shipping but they don't have that going right now. They did tell me that if I order now and if they have a better promotion in the next 30 days, they will refund the difference in a gift certificate.

I am SUPER excited about the photo books I am about to order. I have pulled together a ton of genealogy work with stories, family trees, pictures, etc. and put it into a nice flowing format that will make a nice coffee table type book to share with my family. My mother knows about the book because she has been a huge help in making sure I have my questions answered, scanning pictures and documents, and reviewing it for accuracy. I am giving my bother's each a copy as a gift and they don't know anything about it. It will be a 12x12 book and is about 110 pages (whatever the maximum Shutterfly allows). Of course, my mother will also get a copy as a gift. I am going to see my brother's in less than 3 weeks so I have to get it ordered quickly. Just waiting for my mom to finish her final review.

I don't know of any other savings codes but 3 weeks seems like plenty of time to get them back. I've found my orders are delivered in less than 1 week most of the time.

Thanks! I do think that 3 weeks is plenty of time. My problem is that I don't want to order until my mother finishes reviewing for accuracy. I'm not sure how quickly I need to push her. LOL

At this time, the 50% off is good through Friday and the free shipping ends on Wednesday (I think) so I think i want to get it ordered no later than Wednesday. I will really only have about 2 weeks at that time because they will need to be in my hands by Thursday, Feb. 14th at the latest.

Are you able to combine codes at Shutterfly? Or is one of the promos automatic and you use the code for the second one? I have not been able to combine discounts at Shutterfly in the past.

Sounds like a very cool project!

I have only printed two photo books from Shutterfly and I was very happy with them. I think they took around 2 weeks to get to me, and I live in Canada, so coming across the border always adds a lot of extra time onto the delivery schedule.

I ordered a bunch at Christmas time and they came quicker than expected. If I remember at check out you will have the estimated delivery time listed when you select your shipping speed. I placed 2 orders so that some would arrive earlier and the others later as I needed to get some to families traveling for the holidays.

50% off and free shipping is a great deal! 2 weeks ago they were 30% off. It sounds like this will be a very special gift for your family and one worth investing in. The books are amazing quality and if there are any problems they re-print for free. That kind of gift & service has to cost something right? I have not seen the extra 20% off ones since they moved the savings from 30% on photo books to 50% so I think it's the same offer just presented differently.

They made the offer at least twice during the months that I have been creating the book. I've been watching the prices closely so I would have a good idea of what the best deal would be. It is definitely worth spending the money on because it is a very special gift but I still want to get the best deal that I can. Right now, they will run $100 each.

***ETA I thought of what part of the confusion might be on this. When I have seen Shutterfly make the extra 20% off offer, they are usually also offering "Up to 50% off" on photobooks. The 12x12 books are the ones that are 50% off when they make that offer and that is the size book I have. The smaller books are either 30% or 40% off, depending on size.

I know that Shutterfly makes these offers from time to time, including the free shipping so they must let you combine at least some of the time. Right now, the 50% price is already reflected in the price so I will not need to use a code to get it. At this time, there is only one code for me to use and that is the free shipping code.

I did like that Shutterfly will give me a gift certificate if they offer a better price in the next 30 days.

I ordered my book on Wednesday night. On Friday afternoon I got an email saying my book was shipped. Based on past experience, I expect to get it on Wednesday or Thursday.

My most recent books, I ordered on a Thursday morning, and got them on Friday of the next week. That's the longest I've ever had it take.

I agree!! They tend to offer the extra 20% off around holidays so I am hoping that maybe they will make an offer around Valentine's Day.

I've never waited longer than a week.

I've always been really happy with my photo books.

I can't remember how long the books take to arrive, but I finished up one just yesterday! As far as deals, I always use Coke rewards points to get Shutterfly books if I haven't gotten a free code for one. For example, a 12x12 book = 400 points = 20 cases, or an 8x8 = 200 points = 10 cases. We go through plenty of soda at our house for me to make the annual 3-4 books for free - and sometimes there are even better deals making the codes less points. Check www.mycokerewards.com on Wednesday mornings to see what the "sale" for that week is.

I honestly don't know how Shutterfly stays in business! My order yesterday was:
2 - 20oz travel mugs
1 - 11oz ceramic mug
1 - 8x11 book with 24 pages
152 4x6 prints

My total, including shipping, was $33.18. The deals I was allwed to stack on the order were:
free shipping for orders >$30
$20 free merch from Lifetouch school picture order
free 20 pg 8x11 book from last year's Coke points
101 free 4x6 prints
30% off 8x11 photo books (for the extra pages)
free 11oz ceramic mug from last year's Coke points

Awwww! You're most welcome! I'm so glad it all worked out for you!! I was a little worried the code would be somehow tied to my account (even though I hadn't entered it), so I'm thrilled to hear that it worked. It must've been meant to be, because I literally received the code in my email minutes after having read your thread.
