Hello Everyone!
I am a long time lurker, first time post-er 
I have been to a few crops/retreats, but I am gearing up for a 4 day retreat and I really want to make the most of it!
I've got my packing list and I'll be putting together some page kits, but my question is:
How do you set up your space once you arrive? How do keep everything where you can get at it, but not take over the table and walkways, and how do you keep organized? Pictures would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
EDIT: We each get our own 6 foot table, there is always extra chairs and room on the floor beside and behind your chair.  | |

6 feet is nice! Many times I go to a crop it's only 3 feet. Anyway, I limit how much I bring by making page kits, as you are planing on doing. I bring some shelves with me to put in front of me so I can stack up some things. Not a lot, I like to see the women I am with I've been to crops where women have a full bookcase in front of them, kinda builds a wall. Sorry I don't have any pics... Have fun at your retreat, 4 days sounds awesome! |

I make use of the space under my table. I use an XXl tote and have my "kits" in Art Bins with dividers. I use a folding shelf I found in the kitchen organization area in Walmart. I have my inks, mists, buttons etc in stackable boxes and put them on the shelf so I can see what I have. Oh, one more thing. Be sure and bring something to put your finished pages in. |

I like to take Sterlite drawers for the top of the table that I stack to the sides to hold pens, washi, adhesive, tools, embellishments, etc., and my large totes/crates down under the table with paper, albums, etc. I keep the space right in front of me clear both to work and to be social. |

I keep stuff behind me and under my table. I don't like much on top of the table (Ott lite and my holder for my most utilized tools.
I just met someone recently (hi Cori!) that uses the Sterlite drawers on top of the table. I thought that was a fabulous idea, but would want them stacked under my table. |

I'm gonna look for one of those wire shelves, I think that will help.
I also need to remember to tidy up after every page or so....lol
I thought I'd share my set-up too:
-I have one of those things that look like sterilite drawers but it holds Iris boxes. Once we get to the crop I take the lids off all the iris boxes so they are like drawers. That slides under the table right beside me and holds alpha's, all my embellishments, page protectors and completed pages, etc.
-Then I have 2 paper-takers - one is cardstock the other is patterned paper - on a chair next to me
-My OTT light, "tote-ally" cool tote (FILLED with tools), ATG Gun, cricut and gypsy live on my table, along with a 12x12 self healing mat.
-Then I have one bin either behind me or under the table with punches, stamping stuff, etc, etc, etc in it!
A wire shelf would help so I dont have to clear space everytime I want to use the cricut! | |

I agree with pp that recommended taking something to house finished LO's! My last weekend crop, I took empty page protectors. It was so much more efficient! Went straight home and put them into albums, whereas previously they had sat in my tote or Iris boxes for months!

I bought a small folding table (see Lifetime site for pix) that I use next to me. I keep thinks like inking projects on that, or use it to lay out pages away from where I'm assembling them. The tables are available at Costco for $19.99 and they work great! The take u very little space, but give you more 'counter space.' I always get questions about the table. I could pay for my crops if I just sold them! |

i make up my kits and pack the night before
i also buy those wired raks to stack up BUT NOT TOO High
i never bring more than i shld |

I use the extra chair to hold my scrap bag so I can reach in easily.
I put my trimmer to my left and my drink holder off the right side of the table. In front of me I keep a pencil box filled with often-used basic items like pens, ink pads for edging plus some buttons and floss, flair, rhinestones and labels.
I also try to clear off my space between pages. I put big scraps in a file. When I hit a slump I make some cards with the scraps.

I forgot to mention I also have a small table close by. I also use a very large rotary cutter mat, I think it's 36" and a spinning tool tote. Once I get set up I'm ready. I also take a small Art Bin with some extra cardstock. |

I love my weekend crops and plan what I want to work on and pack carefully. I bring a large rolling CM tote and two rolling milk crates. The milk crates hold three Art Bin Super Satchels. The Art Bins hold: punches, stickers and rubons, stamps sets and inks, paper and card stock, ribbons and embellishments and any Cricut cartridges and mats. I usually use the Cricuts available at the crops. It is easy loading and unloading from my car to the crop room. I bring my OTT Lamp, a surge protection bar, and a roll of duct tape to tape down my cord. The surge bar helps charging my iPhone, and my iPad if i need to charge them. I have a large self healing mat and bring along a sheet of craft paper to cover my mat when stamping, it's under my mat until I need it. I also have a folding wire shelf unit from Bed, Bath, and Beyond that I set up to my left to hold my tools that I will use during the weekend. I have a tote-ally cool tote that I place on a turntable that I picked up at Target in the housewares dept.
I have my rolling totes and milk crates on either side of me and take out and return things as I use them. I'm not a real fast scrapper, but I love going to the weekend crops to see friends and share ideas. I hope you have as fun at your crop as I do at mine. |

If there are extra chairs available I use 1 or 2 next to me at the table to hold art bin cases of embellishments or inks, stamps etc. That keeps my table space clear. I make page kits in large plastic envelopes and keep them lined up in a large rolling tote. As I finish each layout all the left overs go back in that envelope and back into my tote. Have fun! | |

I pack kits then mostly work out of my big rolling crop bag and smaller tote. I put all the tools in the smaller tote. My work space holds my trimmer, adhesive, pens in their cup, and project I am working on. Any scraps I have go into a folder (put scraps into their respective drawers when I get home). I really try to not pack too much stuff. |
