I am really surprised that so many are okay with dogs being in restaurants. I remember a thread where people said they won't go to dinner at a dog person's house, or even eat food given them by someone who has a dog.
I have a dog. I love him. He is not allowed in our kitchen when we eat.
I would definitely be bothered if restaurants were full of dogs. I have no idea how clean other people's dogs are...dogs shed and their hair flies around. I don't think I'd return to a restaurant that allows dogs but I am also non confrontational, and I doubt I would complain either. I just wouldn't go back.

I wouldn't say anything. If it was wandering around under my table, I'd complain. If it was stabbing my in the leg with a fork, I'd complain .

Working dogs should be welcome everywhere! But someone just bringing their dog to a restaurant, I wouldn't like that at all! I love dogs, but I never would have brought my dog to a restaurant. He would have loved it though!

No; I'd be jealous. I wish we were a more dog friendly country and could bring our dogs more places. |

I like dogs but feel that only service animals belong in a restaurant with it's owner. I'm allergic to them and am also afraid of big dogs since I was attacked by one as a child while riding my bike. I probably wouldn't have said anything though but don't fault the OP for doing so. People who think the rules don't apply to them really irritate me! |

If the dog was behaving then I think anyone who complains is a busy body. It wasn't a big dog running up to everyone's table so what's the big deal.
I also would rather have a quite dog then yelling kids at the restaurant any day.

I'm in the service dog only camp. If I brought my cat, bird or pet rat into a restaurant would you be okay with that? |

I probably wouldn't have said anything, but I don't like seeing dogs in places where they really don't belong. I have a little 3 pound yorkie and I wouldn't dream of taking her in a restaurant of any kind.
