Just read this from Allison's blog:
On another subject, sketchsupport.com is no longer. Don't worry, you can still find all the posts and sketches at sketchsupport.blogspot.com. Right now, I'm working on getting all the pages that contain the sketches and information converted to the new address so please be patient with me.

Yes, it has been this way for a few months.
It was completely gone for a bit but the blog has been back up since at least Sunday when I checked. I would say at least most of it is back up, if not all as I was able to scroll through a dozen pages at least with no issues. |

I had just suggested the sight to a few friends right before it went down. She was able to get a few sketches and loved them. She has already bought a few books!

We're glad to have it started back as well. As Allison said in her blog post, when she tried to renew the domain name, they demanded $8,000 (instead of the typical $10) because the site had so much traffic. Needless to say, that wasn't something she (or SG) was going to pay!
However, she's figured out an excellent way to handle it by going back to the original web address! It's still a work in progress for the next few days, but she's on it!

Wish we knew more about that -- Allison called several times and the things they told her about who had purchased the domain name just couldn't possibly be true. It was obviously just a rip-off attempt.

Worked just fine for me!! I was so excited to find it back up too because I have the hardest time scrapping single page layouts and I bought a bunch of frames for my walls that I wanted to really jazz up! I needed the site for inspiration.
Now that I have started really decorating my walls, one of my next purchases is going to have to be a new sketch book for more inspiration!!
With regard to the domain name, some people are just nuts! |
