What do you envision you'll do with a tablet like this? For reading, surfing the web, watching movies or the like, they're both great. The Kindle App Store is more robust than the one on B&N.

I love my HD+ and my son loves his Kindle Fire. The only negative I have with my HD+ is I can't use Audible on it.

Love my Kindle fire HD too, I have the 8.9 inch one and do not miss my iPad at all.

Have you considered one with e-ink? Like the nook simple touch, or the kindle paper white? I have had my nook color for a couple of years now, and I have to say that I read many more actual books on my nook first edition. Not only is having so many apps and internet available on the same machine distracting for me, buy the e-ink screen causes ZERO eye strain for me. After buying the nook first edition and using it since right after it came out, my charger connection is starting to become difficult to use. I am thinking seriously about getting a nook simple touch as a dedicated e reader.

Happiness looks good on everyone!

I love the Nook hd+ it is great and love the audio books on it too.It is great for internet too .I have all the apps I want but there might be more of those on the Kindle if that is what you want .The nook will also read all the books to you but they are monotone ,so I do a lot of the audio ones on it .I love using it like pinterst using evernote app .Love the size of it
