I'm not much of a tea drinker. And I want to get someone some tea as a gift. I've looked into teavanna but she's a college student and only has a normal teapot and I just need a small gift right now. Where can I find some quality teas (by way of tea bags)? I know she likes green tea. Any suggestions on what to get her and where? |

Numi teas are wonderful. I get them on amazon. We like Moroccan mint, rooiboos, breakfast blend and decaf black vanilla. All are flavorful with no aftertaste.

For a good quality black tea, Yorkshire Gold is amazing.
If you can find a Darjeeling First Flush, that is truly a treat! |

I have ordered from Tea Forte, and they have some beautifully packaged, delicious teas. Teas for the Heart (green teas) is one of my favorite packages ~ I bought one for my mom and another for my MIL last year for Christmas. Here's a link:

I approve all of the above mentioned teas.
But I'm wondering what you mean by a "normal teapot." She ought to be able to brew tea in any teapot. If the pot doesn't have a strainer, the tea can be strained when it's poured out in any small strainer.
ETA wait, now I'm thinking, do you mean she has a tea kettle (for boiling water) but not a teapot (for steeping tea leaves)? If yes, you can still get her loose tea and get a small one-cup tea strainer to go with it. The ones I'm thinking of are kind of spoon shaped and sized, and you put the tea in the little basket at the end and snap it closed. They aren't very expensive. I could even RAK you one, because I have several here still in the package that I meant to use for gifts and never did. |

I'm a non-fancy tea drinker. Stash is my favorite because they have a wide variety of flavors, and they're accessible at almost any grocery store. Central Market/Whole Foods type stores have even more flavors.
My all time favorite is Moroccan Mint. My flavor of the moment is Chocolate Mint.

Teavanna sells tea bags that she can put her loose leaf tea in and use with a normal kettle and mug. I prefer this way actually because I can pick and choose how much (or little) I put in a cup and how long I leave it in for

I'm a "grab and go" tea drinker - I use my Cuisinart/Kreurig for hot water and a teabag.
I drink mostly herbal tea and some regular teas, too. I like Twinings - it's easy to obtain and reasonably priced. I sometimes buy larger quantities directly from Twinings. A local tea shop carries a huge variety of teas, but highly recommend Harney & Sons.

I have a local tea shop that has excellent quality tea. They aren't a chain though. I was never a tea drinker until I discovered this shop. It's amazing the difference with a really good quality tea. If you have an independent tea shop I'd go there. They will sell a little mesh strainer ball to brew single cups of loose leaf tea.

Starbucks Tazo teas are fabulous. The china green tips is my favorite, but the zen which is a green tea with mint is also very good |

And my MIL raves about Marco Polo tea. We buy her a tin at W-S for a special treat. |

Tea Forte
They have become my first choice in gifts from my DH. He loves them because I share with DD, so it's like he gets twice as much out of each gift.

This tea lover thought Ingenuitea looked like many other steeping tools, until I watched the video. Perfect for ice tea? Nice to know it's easy to clean - I'm sold!
Thanks for this this thread.
