Hello, Toni! Glad you've decided to join our merrie band of StamPeas. Unlike the 'swap' forum we're a bit more laid back when it comes to many swaps/challenges. You are more than welcome to join us.
Our hostess, LeighAnn (Pug), starts a new thread for each month so no one has to commit to doing all 12. And there's not a limit on how many swappers can play. Pug handles the theme & does the match-ups. The rest is up to each of us. If you'd like to dive in & swap a 'March' tag, let us know. Several of us have done an extra swap when someone wants to join in. 
Thanx for all the kind words about my tag. I love doing 'detail'--perhaps a bit too much when it takes over. But that's OK! And no one ever has to compare what they do with anyone else--even tho' we do.
I promise you! I have enjoyed & been inspired by every tag made & shared over the past 3 months--and it's still only February! |

I am so addicted to stamps...it so funny. There is a group of five of us that scrap together here and NONE of them stamp!!! I mean seriously...I told them it's almost a sin that they don't, lol! To me, it's an essential in my scrap bag!

This post has nothing to do with the March tag swap, but I just want to let you all know how much your kind hearts, your encouragement, your willingness to help others, and your inspiration makes me feel part of a circle of friends! It seems to me that in some other hobbies I have encountered, there is sometimes a little hostility, drama, and competitiveness, but I don't feel that here. You all are greatly appreciated and I look forward to being more involved in this community and making more friendships!

Here on the Stamping forum we are a pretty good group. Awesome talent is a given, but very little drama &/or hostility. Competition, however, does exist; we just don't make it our biggest reason for being here.

I got a pleasant PM from Marshia about my masking challenge and she, also, spoke about the tag swap/challenge.
She says that this one has been very comfortable in both format & subject. ITA!
There is 'something' about having tags as our project that lets me relax--even the 3x3 March one!--and still do lots of different things within the framework.
It's always great when a swap/challenge 'perfect' timing & the host & players turn into a happy 'team' that has room for (& welcomes) more players every month. |

Daniel, your tag is fantastic. I accidently hit the wrong button before I was done writing my comment but I think I fixed it.
I finished my tag over a week ago and somehow lost it  .
I think I may have accidently thrown it out. So I need to get rolling on another!

Yay, I finally got a chance to start my tag for this month. I have to say, its coming along quite nicely. It's snowing here, so DS was having snowball fights with the neighborhood kids. At least they stopped for a few minutes to let me take pics for the scrapbook. Lol. And, i was able to get some peaceful crafting time in. Hope everyone is doing well this weekend. |

Toni, Glad the tag arrived okay. It was fun to make.
I shared with Toni that I've created a template document to fit the back of my tag, so once typed it can be added to the back of the tag and I'm able to use that text (copy & paste) into the gallery. A real time saver! WooHoo!

This February I dealt with: a touch of the flu, local power outages, plumbing problems, and creating a new program for work. So, this Monday past is another gray, dismal day and I returned home from work feeling defeated because no one showed for my information session for the new program. Quite frankly, I was feeling rather craptastic.
After sorting through the bills in my mail pile, I spied an envelope that looked like it might be more interesting. Aha, I seemed to have received my tag from Kathy (aka Beady). This was turning out to be the best part of a trying day. Inside the envelope, I found a tag that quite simply made me smile. I sat there, just grinning!
Kathy, I don't know how you did it, but your tag made me feel hopeful. I seemed to be able to exhale in a big way, like I didn't even know until then that I had been holding my breath.
Thank you for taking the time to make me art- it's easy to forget when we get caught up in the act of creating about how wonderful it is to be gifted with the final product. Your tag was like a breath of spring and carried with it a sense of promise - both things I really needed at that moment.
It has been challenging feeling creative this month, but I finally can "see" what your tag needs to be. The tag will be finding its way to you this weekend.
Also, this is for all you tag-swapping peeps - I have to say that even though I am lousy at commenting, I really appreciate all the beauty that I have been viewing here. You folks are wicked talented and I want to say thanks for letting play in your sandbox. -Tara

Tara. Looking forward to seeing Beady's tag. I so KWYM about receiving the gift of another's art to hold in our hands. Although all of us are generous when it comes to sharing our talent--which we all have--we are even more generous when it comes to making sunshine where there are clouds in individuals' lives. All of us have experienced those periods of truly gloomy & I am so blessed to have many 'friends' here @ 2Ps.
And let's be honest! It takes 'guts' for most of us to actually allow others to see what we make--even those who appear confident in their ability to produce. Nothing saddens me more than reading posts where someone pooh-poohs their offering or (worse still) says they "can't" do something. 'Can't' is not in my vocabulary! I am pleased to find that true for y'all, too! |

Nice job, Tonya. Yours is pretty easy to figure out fars as the '3s' go, but always nice if you can share a bit about construction & such when uploading. Not a 'requirement', of course.
And do you know how to link your piece to the thread? 'Sok. I know the 'glitches' can be a problem. Anyhoo...

Tara, got your tag. Good thing you wrote your name on one side or I wouldn't know which side was the front. Both sides are a work of art. I really liked the feather and wrapped twine. Then there was the envelope. Holy Guacamole! How much stamping time went into that envelope? There's no way I could ever throw that envelope out. The envelope is just as nice as the tag. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into both. |
