I figure if Peas have advice about tea, they'll have good ideas for shirts too.

I need to buy BD gift for nephew and want to include a "cool" t-shirt. I'd like to shop online, preferably amazon. Any suggestions?

He's a good student, skate-boarder, surf/swim type of guy. Any suggestions?

I looked at Obey and Plan B, but when I see Plan B I think of political controversy.

Hope Peas can help! Thanks!

Go to Tillys.com, they sell skate/surf brand tees that teens are into.

If you are looking for a particular brand, I would go with Hurley.

My 17 likes band t-shirts. Can you find out a band that he likes?

Even though they have many fun options, do not buy from Cafe Press. I was very disappointed with the quality of images on the three I bought my teen son for Christmas.

Check out Vans online.

My 17 year old loves Obey. He won't wear Hurley but likes some Volcom stuff. Zumiez is his preferred shop.

I buy funny t-shirts at Road Kill. I can get them in Tall.

It does take some time to separate the funny ones from the inappropriate ones.

I also buy tshirts at Bobs, ds (17) likes Fox.

I recommend a gift card to Hot Topic, or pick a shirt with a band he loves. My son just turned 17, and I think 95% of his shirts are from Hot Topic.

Zumiez is the preferred store for my skateboarding/snowboarding almost 17 yo son. He also likes ccs.com for his online shopping. Lots of skate brands.

As a mom, there is some strange stuff out there, but they like it. I bet my mom thought the same about my mall bangs...

Active Ride Shop is a great place for tees for a young man his age, especially with the preferences you mentioned.

Active's Web Site

They've always got great deals on their own brand of tees and offer free shipping over $99.

Think geek. Com

DS always gets lots of gifts from there. They have a tee that plays music like a guitar. Too cool!

Funny shirts, great prices, fast shipping!

I bought 4 at Christmas:
For DH (we own an hvac bus.) Relax I can fix it!
For DD teacher I teach, what's your super power! (She hung it in her classroom!)
For DD BFF Silently correcting your grammar!
For DD A cute Cheer shirt that says Cheer Classic But looks like the Coca Cola logo

They have all kinds from rude, crude, nerd, political, tv show's etc. I paid $34 for all including shipping!

If you want to spend more all the kids here like Hollister or Abercrombie!

We've ordered shoes from Zumiez.com and they were great to deal with. Recommend.

My DS is 17 and wears Old Navy shirt...he has the super hero ones. Today he wore the batman one that looks vintage. He also got an "irmagird" tshirt for Christmas he likes. It seems like "vintage" look tshirts are what they are wearing now.
Worst case...get him a gift card, my son LOVES those!
