Good Morning Peas. Things are looking up, my cell phone is finally working...yay!

Now to get some of the other paperwork sorted out.

Stay inside, warm and safe for those of you in the storm's path. Glad we didn't have snow this year, just cold days. I can handle that, now more than before thanks to my new favorite item, heated throw. Have it wrapped around my shoulders as I type. It's great! Who knew such a simple thing could bring so much joy...

Not much else to share so off I go.
Have a great day.

Thank you for the Birthday wishes! My birthday is a bittersweet day as it was also my dad's birthday. I start to really miss him, it's just not the same celebrating without him.

Anyways thought I'd check in and say hi while I had a moment before picking the girls up from school. I helped Alison's Girl Scout troop this morning pick up and sort cookies and tomorrow morning Jordyne's troop has cookie pick up. I forgot about that and scheduled Alison's Altar Server testing at church for the same time. Trying to figure out how to be at two places at the same time. Hoping a parent doesn't have to be with Alison and my FIL can take her, DH is working. Tonight should be fun though our Girl Scout Council is having a Cookies and Milk Party to celebrate National Cookie Day. Since Jordyne's troop's regular meeting is tonight during the hours for the party we decided to go there, (partly because the other leader and I hadn't planned the meeting yet) love when it works out.

Hope everyone's having a good Friday! Hopefully I'll be back to catch up on the chatter later before I get too much farther behind.

Oh by the way Nylene my birthday was Feb 1 and Monica if you have the last RAK list Jan sent out my info is still the same, if you don't have it let me know and I'll peamail you the info.

Happy Friday!
It's my cousin's birthday so I've been spending the day with her. I took her to lunch, we did some shopping, and she got her hair styled for tonight. Back at the house now to hang out for a while, and then she chose a Japanese steakhouse (where they cook in front of you) for her birthday dinner. Should be fun!

I'm wondering if the RAK list is pretty much complete. I'll probably send it out this weekend sometime. Anybody else need to add/edit contact information?

Uploaded some projects last night, but the gallery was frozen. So here they are:

Pretty quiet around here. Is everyone preparing for the storm?

Kids are home from school, wasting a couple hours watching LOST reruns while waiting for their dad to pick them up for the weekend. I'm just surfing the web-not too motivated to do much but maybe after the kids go and it's so quiet, I'll scrap.

Looking at MONICA B's LO about Italian food has made me hungry; now I need to go see what I can rustle up.

Catch you all later.

Hi Everyone!

Debi - I'm so glad your phone is working. And that the heated throw brings you so much comfort.

Valerie - I miss my dad too. On Sunday he will have been gone for 2 years. I suppose we will always miss them.

Monica - I just peamailed you my RAK info. Thanks for doing this!

Tammy - good for you, getting your taxes done!

The blizzard is really pounding on us right now, and is supposed to continue until tomorrow at 1 PM. It's snowing and blowing! We have about a foot, I think, although it's hard to tell because it's blowing around. It does look pretty out there! Can you believe they named this storm 'Nemo'? There are tons of jokes going around about that!

Fortunately, Mark was able to see his eye doctor before it got bad out. The doc says everything looks good and Mark does feel better today. Mark has bad allergies and he thinks that the allergies were bothering him, compounding the surgery, so last night, for the first time EVER, Mark closed his bedroom door and wouldn't let any cats sleep with him. Mark ADORES the cats, he puts up with the allergies because he loves having them near - he must have been really miserable to close them out!

(Just in case you are curious - Mark and I have separate bedrooms. The rooms in this house are FAR too small for two people to live in, especially the closets! The arrangement works very well for us - I'm neat, he's not, he goes to bed at a reasonable hour, I'm a night owl - so this helps us get along and stay in love!)

Wow! I just heard a big thunderclap! Intersting storm! One of our cats, Flaps, is terrified of thunder, he's crying right now. I'd better go comfort him, poor baby!

Take care everyone,

Cathy McD

Cathy, hope you get to keep the power on and don't have any snow damage to property. Stay inside and stay warm. As for the separate bedrooms, I have a few friends that do that too and if Randy keeps snoring we may start!

Tammy, hurray for getting your taxes done. I finished ours this week too and we're getting back a little bit instead of having to pay in so whoo hoo!

Went to see Side Effects with Paula this afternoon. It stars Jude Law (love him). We both liked it but I doubt it will get good reviews. The camera angles were really good for a movie about mental illness. Only 6 people total in the theater so we were able to sit way away from anyone else and discuss plot twists all the way through it. Went to Olive Garden for dinner and tried the new Apricot Chicken, yummy, highly recommend it.

Decided the walls need to be washed down again in the living room because I evidently didn't do a good job the other day and have noticed streaks. Going to start painting soon and don't want streaks to show through. I found a thing on Pinterest for a cleaner that suggested water, vinegar, a little Dawn and a few squirts of lemon juice. It is awesome! Smells fresh and no scrubbing. Can't beat the price either. May never buy cleaning stuff again. Have two walls done already and probably shouldn't have stopped but figured I'd better before I got too tired. Of course, sitting down, now I'm tired. Oh well.

The doc said I'm ready for aggressive hand therapy and should be full motion in 4-6 weeks an another 2 weeks of the cast.

Theresa- can you point me to the pin with the recipe? I looked on your tips and tricks board and didn't see it. My walls could use it, especially down the stairway.

Cathy- I have several friends with his/her rooms. I tell DH all the time it would be a good idea- he likes to sleep to the TV and I like the pitch dark. It is worlds better since he got an apnea machine. Whatever works, Is the snow still coming down? I haven't looked at the news to check on it.

Valerie- what a fun idea for a GS event!

Monica - happy bday to Ashley. I made about 50% of the PTSA tags today, my wrist is hurting a bit but not too bad. Have fun!

Tammy hurray for a good report on your wrist. As for what pin it was, don't think I saved it because it just said to add vinegar, Dawn dish detergent and a few squirts of lemon juice to water. I didn't measure anything, just put a couple of quarts of water in the pail and added the rest. Worked really well.

On second thought I did save it, here it is at least one similar, this one uses baking soda instead of lemon juice.

Morning, I'll be scarce today. Lots to do so I'm hoping to stay off the internet and get it done. Started painting last night and am worried I've made a big mistake with the gray. But the good news is, once I get it done if I still don't like it, it's just paint so I can cover it up.

Happy Saturday Sweet Peas!!!

I just read up on all of the chatter from this week that I'd missed. I've still been working really long days, so I've had no "Tina time" this week. I did start going to zumba classes this week, I'm again trying to get myself into shape, we'll see if I can do this class or not without it making me symptomatic.

My sister didn't end up leaving town, so she is going to be back here this weekend. Evidently, after her husband drove a semi all of the way across the country to pick her up, she decided to stay longer, so he left without her. I think she is really flying out this week...but who knows.

Toni - Sooo sorry that Meagan isn't making great choices right now, I hope that she gets her head back on and does better.

Monica - my contact info is all still the same as last year & your haircut looks great...so cute!

Theresa - I love gray walls, my bedroom is really dark gray and Mallory's room is lighter grey with stripes. I bet it will turn out fine, it's definitely a trendy color right now.

Tammy - you are right on it with getting those taxes done...I'm always a slacker, I usually wait as long as possible. Ron is self-employed, so I HATE dealing with his taxes, he is disorganized about it, so it is a drag to deal with.

Cathy - Hope you don't get too much snow. We are used to having a lot here too, I always think the media get people panicked over amounts of snow that are normal for our area. I kind of like being snowed in, so I never care...it's just more time to scrap.

Well, I hope you all have a nice day, I have to get my house picked up.

Tina

Good afternoon all, it has finally stopped snowing in my neck of the woods, this is the first winter in a long time that we have had a significant amount of snow. I actually didn't have to work this morning but did manage to get a few things done. Trying the timer thing with cleaning so that I can study and still get my cleaning stuff done. I want to scrap so bad but hopefully tonight I will get enough stuff done to reward myself with a little scrappy time.

Tammy- good for you getting all your tax stuff around, I'm working on it but just can't seem to find some of the stuff we need and we just had some of it since we refinanced our house. So good to hear that you have the a okay to start therapy here's to a good recovery.

Theresa- Gray sounds like it would be really nice in the living room there are so many other colors that you can add to it with all the accessories, when I did my scraproom I chose a bright yellow, I thought it was a mistake until I got everything put back on the walls and my curtains put up, now I love it.

Tina- doesn't it stink when you don't get any me time. I agree with you that the media blows the snow totals out of proportion around here too, we get Lake Effect snow all the time where I am and so we get tons quite often during the winter.

Cathy- hope that you are not too snowed in, I hear you all got quite the dumping on. So good that your DH's eye surgery went well. My DH and I don't have separate rooms but we work opposite shifts so we rarely sleep at the same time any more.

Waving hello to everyone else, I need to go print off the sketches for this month before my 20 minute computer time is up in case I get a chance to scrap today. So I will chat at you all later.

Hi Everyone,

The snow stopped falling this morning and luckily we never did lose power. We got about 20 inches or so. I agree, the media does make a big deal out of something that is in fact fairly 'normal' if you live in snowy areas, but at the same time, it's good to have warning so you can get prepared. Even with all the warning and all the hype, there were DOZENS of people who still got stuck in their cars and had to stay in them overnight and be rescued today. Seems like they could have planned better!

Mark and I managed to clean off our cars but I'm hoping that the neighborhood boys will come around to shovel our driveway. Neither Mark or I are in shape to do it! No way could we drive through it, it will have to be shoveled or plowed. So for now, we are snowbound - but since we have no place to go, that's fine!

Theresa - I love gray and if we ever build our own home, the living room will be done in gray. I hope your living room turns out nice!

Tina - I hope you can find some time to scrap!

Take care everyone!

Happy Scrappy Saturday All

I did a speedscrap this morning for a new website. Got the LO done in time but by the time I was able to register for their gallery, I had gone past the deadline. Oh well. At least I got a page done.

Going to a movie tonight with a girl friend (probably see Skyfall as she's a 007 fan) It's at the $3 theatre so I feel I can afford a treat, right?

THERESA is there proportions for the homemade cleaner? I'd love something that works without having to buy chemicals...water, vinegar, lemon juice and Dawn....

Now you have me looking at my walls...yet they could use a good wash down, but not til I get rid of some of the stuff cluttering my house. Sent a big and I mean big, bag of clothes to the BLIND this morning. It's a start.

Got an email from the coach of our Ultimate Frisbee team saying the school has decided not to support the spring teams...kind of confusing as it is nearly completely funded outside of the school. I hope we can work this out. My boys love the sport and there are probably 100-150 kids that turn out for the 4 teams. send problem solving vibes so we can save our Frisbee, ok?

CATHY heck me and my dh (well ex) sleep in completely different houses across town...works for me. LOL

THERESA remember paint lightens as it drys so if you're thinking the gray is too dark, it may change more to your liking soon.

You all sound so disciplined. Geesh, I'm sitting playing on the computer because I have no kids at home today to take care of. Is there other stuff I could be doing--why "yes there is" but here I play anyway.

So glad no one is being terribly troubled by the snow. Take some photos; it can make awesome LOs. Hope you all find time to scrap, especially you TINA...you work too much. What's up with your sister that she's avoiding going home?

Hello Everyone,

I did it! I did my 15 minutes of decluttering. It was probably more like half an hour though. I took EVERYTHING out of a big desk drawer, a drawer that I never go into anymore. Of course, once the stuff was out all over my dining room table, I HAD to finish sorting it, even after the timer went off!

Threw away tons of ancient stuff - like diskettes! Now I'm using this drawer to keep all my excess 'technology' in.

What's 'technology'? Glad you asked!

What I call 'technology' is all the parts and pieces that come with everything you buy today. The chargers, earphones, cords to hook your camera up to the computer - stuff like that. It all goes in one place so we don't have to look for it when we need it.

And here is the BEST organizing tip ever: use zip lock bags for each piece of technology. And LABEL it! This way all those cords won't get tangled up with each other. Each set of ear phones, each camera or phone charger gets its own labled bag. Even my GPS, in my car glove box, has a zip lock bag to keep its cord from getting tangled.

Another tip - ever notice how zip lock bags puff up over time, even if you've squeezed the air out of them before you zip them? Well, since freshness doesn't matter in this case, poke a hole in the technology bags, to keep them from puffing and taking up too much room in the drawer.

One more tip - if you come across something that you don't recognize, you aren't sure what it is or what it goes to, put it in a zip lock and write "Discard by ......" on it - 2 years from the day you package it. Then, in 2 years if you haven't needed it, throw it away.

And here's one last tip, for free... Have any of you thought about buying those 'Space Bags'? DON'T. Sure, they work - you vacuum out all the air and compress 3 pillows into a very flat package. But, over time, they REINFLATE! And, putting the pillows (sweaters, whatever) into the bags and getting them out, is a royal pain. What a waste of money.

I have also been working on my pet album, still writing up the stories. I can't wait until I can do some actual scrapping, but I want to get the stories done first.

Have a nice evening!

Cathy McD

I tried posting this morning. Wrote out a long post and hit submit and nothing happened...except that the post just disappeared. Boy, this seems to be happening too often lately.

It's the end of a snowy day and I'm too tired to rewrite the post. I'll just send lots of hugs and warmer weather to all of you (except Michelle, cool for you!)

Here are the pages I finished. The first one is for the BOS challenge.

What a day! Got my hair trimmed and my heart broken listening to my friend Tom (he cuts my hair) talk about his daughter that just died.
Went to the Pinewood Derby after that, huge turnout and everyone had a good time. Took a lot longer than I thought it would so I didn't get home til after 1. Started painting. Looks great! Really happy with the color after all and so is Randy. Supposed to have covered in one coat--it didn't. Of course if the paint it was covering wasn't 17 years old it might have. I only bought one gallon because my room is small. Wouldn't believe how far I stretched it out and am hoping that the last wall dries better than it looks now or I'm going to have to drive to Madisonville after church tomorrow and pray that I can get another matched mixed paint to add another coat on half the wall.

A friend/neighbor of my brother had his house explode tonight. It was such a loud initial explosion that it was felt all over the county, not joking. I thought it was an earthquake. Several other small explosions occurred after the first one. Not sure what happened yet but they think no one was home. It was a massive home up high on a hill and it did have natural gas so could be something to do with that. Reports are that the family was in Lexington at the UK basketball game. No one could have survived if they were home. Only a fireplace is left standing from what I've heard. My brother is there now helping to put it out, he's a firefighter. It'll probably burn for hours.

Since I'm still not sure I won't have to paint that one wall again, I haven't moved the entertainment center back to it's home so I have to move all the stuff from inside it that I just piled into the middle of the living room floor because I was too lazy to carry it into the other room out of the way in case Randy gets up during the night to head for his recliner then I'm going to read my Sunday School lesson and head to bed.

wow THERESA I'm impressed you got your room painted so quickly. I'm happy you like the color. Can't wait to see the before/after shots.

I went to the movies (SKYFALL) with my friend. We went to an earlier show (5pm). She had plans later to watch fireworks for the the Year of the snake Celebration this evening. I really enjoyed the James Bond movie, lots of action and british humor is so amusing. It was a good outing. Glad I went.

Tomorrow I'm going to Mom's again. Time to take her to the grocery store and maybe the thrift shop. My brother and SIL are visiting her in the morning for a bit. Not sure if I'll go at the same time or not. They aren't the most fun to hang out with. LOL We'll see how ambitious I feel in getting out early.

Been making cards for a contest. Now that's different for me. I'm not a card maker. I need to go look at some of LINDA's as she definitely has the one up on me. But it was something scrappy to do, so no harm done in trying. If I make it into the finals (that's a longshot) I'll let you know and you can go vote for me. That won't be known for another week. The bigger challenge was having to use product from their current designers and I have very little of that; lots from prior designers (many who moved to a different site recently). it was fun nonetheless.

I'm thirsty but wondering if I really want to drink something so close to going to bed. I might regret that when I have to get up in the middle of the night.

Here's my Lo from the Speedscrap this morning.

Good morning all (except Michelle, g'night! )

I can't sleep. At the moment, CATHY, I desperately wish Stuart & I had separate bedrooms!! I often fantasize about living what I call the "Scarlet O'Hara Life Style." A separate suite of rooms...which DH would visit as often as possible, but not SLEEP in. I swear the man could cut timber with his snoring.

Alas, only one bedroom so I am on the couch (with my heated throw, DEBI!) and not able to get back to sleep so I'm catching up on chatter.

I don't have a second window open but...

THERESA -- sad about your stylists daughter. And scary about the house on the hill! I hope they were correct that no one was home! And no one was hurt putting it out. I painted our living room gray about 4 years ago. It's called Harbor Grey. And I painted the trim a very bright white. I *love* it. Now if I could just get furniture that goes with it! That has to wait til everyone in the house is over 5 years of age, I think. Long way to go...

CATHY -- That's a lot of snow! I'm glad you were prepared and settled in (unlike the people trapped in their cars?!)

DEBI -- Hooray for a working phone! I've done my 15 minutes every day and Charlotte's room is now PERFECT. Her shelves are de-cluttered and cute. Her drawers are organized and everything in them fits her! I have one or two more sessions to do the closet (no baby stuff, all MY stuff!). Feels good to get my 15 minutes in!

TAMMY - impressive you have your taxes ready! I think we're getting a little refund this year, so I hope Stuart has us as close to ready as you are!

There were two more things/people I wanted to respond to, but I can't remember...why didn't I open another window?!

Well...Hi to EVERYONE! We're supposed to do a long run today so I doubt I will do any scrapping. Maybe I'll finally upload the LOs I've already done this month.

I wanted to expand on Cathy's ORGANIZING TIP: Whenever possible, use SEE-THROUGH/CLEAR containers to store your things. (zip-lock bags are a perfect example) If you can't find/use a clear container, put some visual indication of what's inside where you CAN see. Labels work really well. But you can also attach a sample of what is inside to the outside of the container.

OK, gonna try to get in a little more sleep before our Sunday run. 'Night again.

Eyes not awake enough to determine if I'm gong to need a second coat. Will have to do trim work because, of course, now that the fresh paint is up, the trim (which was repainted 2 years ago) isn't as white as it needs to be. Which is the exact reason I don't redecorate often--one thing leads to another!

No one was home at the house that exploded, thankfully and none of the firefighters were injured which makes me more happy because my only brother was one of them. Today's his birthday, wouldn't have been a very happy one had he been hurt.

Off to take a shower and hope to get the muscle aches out before heading to church.

Have an awesome day all!

I'm up but not fully awake. Still squinting at the screen trying to read it. Takes my eyes a good 1/2 hour to focus after waking up. Good reason to shower and eat before sitting down to the computer.

It's foggy outside this morning which means my mom's house won't even be able to be seen. They get such dense fog there reminds me of San Francisco, like a big gray blanket over everything.

Going to do a couple more cards, then I'm out of here for the day.

THERESA maybe you can just wash down the woodwork...I don't like painting trim much and in this craftman's house there is a ton of it...

Have a great day. Enjoy your run BARBARA.

Good Sunday morning.... I'm feeling a bit guilty with all the accolades.I didn't get the taxes done myself- just sent to the accountant. So she can do the work.
I've been doing my decluttering in our master bathroom. need to continue today in the drawers.

Theresa- I think the grey/white will be stunning. looking forward to the pictures. very scary about the house explosion. sounds like gas? so thankful all are OK.

Cathy- love the tips about electronics. amazing how much cords and "stuff" have taken over our drawers etc. with it all. love the bag tips (and Barbara- the clear bin tips).
Glad the snow wasn't too bad for you.

Debi- hope they can come up with solution for frisbee- that's a lot of dislocated kids for a sport

Good Morning Ladies!

Had a pretty quiet day yesterday. Took Noah to his basketball game, they lost by 2 points, but he scored 8 points, so he was happy. Took Noah & Lanie out to frozen yogurt as a treat. Noah was very happy because they now offer a sorbet as well, so he gets to enjoy too! (he is allergic to dairy, eggs, nuts, treenuts, fish & shellfish). Devon went to his basketball tourney with one of his teammates and stayed over at his house last night. Hoping to scrap today. I have to pick the boys up at 10:00 & 12:30, so that should give me time to clean up my scrap table! My sister is coming over later this afternoon and we are going to bake a Cookie Brownie S'mores Cake for my birthday. I'll let you know how it turns out. I have used a floor cleaner I found on Pinterest for the walls and it works great. It is 2 gallons hot water, 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/4 baking soda and 2 TBS of dishsoap. It leaves the house smelling fresh and slightly takes on the scent of your dishsoap.

Cathy Glad all is well after your dh lasik surgery. I remember as a kid we had a blizzard and my dad piled the snow up and built a slide for us. It was great! I will say, I don't miss it! Keep those organizing tips coming!

Barbara Good for you for getting through Charlotte's room! I need to work on the boys room. Hope you have a good run today!

Theresa Glad to here no one was hurt in the house explosion. How scary! I want to paint our living room or bedroom grey. My sil made us an afgan for Christmas that has grey and taupes in it and I love it.

Debi Glad your phone is working, finally. They just opened a new movie theatre in town and I have been dying to go. It has a wine and cheese bar inside! Of course, only in Napa!!

Monica Love the new haircut! Hoping to get mine done this week, it needs to be cut and colored. Sorry to near about your great uncle.

Michelle It's funny how there is different candy all over. We have a sil how live in England and my mil sends over care packages filled with different things that they can't get.

Well, I better get moving if I plan on getting anything done this morning! Hope you all enjoy your Sunday!

Praisemark

Sherri

THERESA the walls look great. well done.

Ok I finished 4 cards, now into the shower, and off to Mom's. The fog lifted here, not sure about there. The sun is even trying to shine; imagine that.

SHERRI I can relate to NOAH; I have a ton of allergies too. Makes buying prepared food difficult.

Catch you when I return.

Hi all,

I decided not to cook and just ordered pizza for dinner.

It would take too long to wait for delivery so Stuart just left to get it. I am feeling VERY lazy!! But we did run 8 miles this morning and 2.5 of them were HILLS. It was really, really hard. Beautiful. But hard. I'm pooped tonight!

Theresa--that wall looks GREAT. You did a great job and I love the color.

Debi - hope you had a nice day with your mom.

Sherri -- how'd that cake turn out?! when's your bday?? A movie theater with wine & cheese?! That sounds a place I need to visit.

Waving "HI" to everyone else...it's been quiet up here this weekend. Is everyone scrapping?

Ok, I'm off to find paper plates & napkins so I can escape doing dishes as well!

BARBARA I like your approach to a no fuss dinner.

I had a good day with Mom. The weather cooperated, fog lifted, and we just did errands and hung out together. But it was nice. I even took her dog for a long walk--was harder on me than him, but probably good for me. BARBARA I can not even imagine walking, let alone running, 8 miles. I bow down to you.

Managed to do 4 cards this morning for a contest. I'll let you know if I get into the finals. I'm not really a card maker so it really was a challenge, but good to do different things every now and again.

Now I'm just waiting for the wash to finish so I can put it in the dryer, then I'm going to bed. Already have my heated throw on and warming up my shoulders. Bed is looking mighty enticing right now.

Hi- can I chat but not do scrapping projects? I am doing very little these days but I do like to make cards.

My MIL is 95 and today she was really weak, could hardly talk, and was wheezing. She has 24/7 care, but we are thinking of Hospice. She has alzheimers' and Congestive heart failure. It was hard today.

Also, I lost a grammar school friend last week. I have been doing some collecting of thoughts on paper from myself and other friends from our 'gang'.

Nice to see the shares. Hope mine isn't too much of a bummer.

We have a darling 2 and 1/2 year old grandson who lights up our life!

morning all -

Welcome Lindywholoveskids! We're happy to have you here.

For all those in the snow covered areas, my heart goes out to you.
My brother sent us a photo of his area outside his garage window -
28 1/2 inches! Even when I lived in CT I never saw that amount at one time. At least not that I can remember.

I really haven't read the chatter though; I'm seriously behind on everything! I even brought home some work from school to be done, so
even that's behind...sigh.

I worked at J's every day/night since last Wed, and yesterday had me seeing red. I really think I've had it this time. Even though I love the people I work with, the company is crap...sigh. So I believe I'm going to call in for tonight (I already forewarned them), and will give my two weeks notice. I just need to find something else, and preferably closer, that pays more too, LOL.

BTW, I do believe Meagan has actually learned a lesson this time...as she said in her own words, she had to find out for herself...so, things are doing better with her.

Kevin, thankfully, is absolutely wonderful

Anyway, 'nuff of me.
Hope you all have a great Monday, and the start of a new week.

you all

Good morning, Stan took Monica to school so I have an extra hour on my hands, wish he would of told me sooner and I would of slept longer oh well.

Lindy welcome.

Barb...It's funny my husband snores so bad then he blames me for snoring it's so funny. Thanks for the bin advise. I mile run, I would die I thin the rescue would have to pick me up. But good for you, love your dinner plans mine were similar

Theresa...Love the wall color, looks great with the white. Theresa that so sad about your hair dresser. So glad there was no one home at the time of the explosion I saw the picture in facebook it's scarry.

Cathy.. Hope your DH lasic went well. Thant's a lot of snow You got me in a de-cluttering mood now I have organized my pantry, and most of my scraproom/office. There are still some places in the office that needs the de-cluttering but those I'm doing 15 minutes at a time for now at least I can scrap again. Thanks for all your tips they are great. I do take his polos and put them in a bag inside my closet we have his and hers closets. after 6 months if he has not asked for it they go to goodwill. It's a great system, now his papers Im going to put them in plastic bins with a date on it store them in my closet and in a year or 2 if he has not needed it it's going in the garbage and anything over 5 years won't even make it into the bin.
that will be our little secret. I bought those space saver bags there a pain, I gave them to my sister for when they go skying she packs her clothes in them and has a lot of room in her luggage.

Sherri...That Cookie Browni S"mores cake, my Goddaughter wanted me to make for her Saturday night after Monica's little party. I looked at her like if she was crazy. I'm going to give that a try.

Tammy...Glad you started your therapy. Praying that it all goes quick and your hand will be 100% real soon. How is the de-cluttering going. I'm doing the same thing all around the house a room at a time a drawer at a time and for the first time in a long time things are looking pretty organize. But my Christmas boxes are still out.

Tina...Hope you get some "me" time soon, it's so important, zumba classes are fun. Good luck with the getting back in shape. I think your sister really want to be with you. she likes it there too much.

Waiving hello to Nylene, Debi, Valerie, Mary Jo, Wanda, Jodi and anyone else I missed.

Have 10 more extra minutes going to see how much I can praise. Have a wonderful day. Today it's going to be a busy one for me at work.

Here is the cake:

Cookie Brownie S'mores Cake

Barb Cake was fantastic! Was an all afternoon project, since everything was made from scratch, but definitely worth it.

Diana You should try the cake. It's not hard just takes time and I would make it the day before like the recipe says, so it can set.

When I figure out how to get the picture in here I will post. I may just post in the

Hope you all have a happy Monday!

MMMMmmmmm I'll take a piece of that cake, Sherri. Perfect breakfast.

Sounds like folks had a good weekend. Our was very low-key, one of a few without much planned, which was awesome. I intended to get my scrapdesk clean but that didn't happen. Going to set it on the timer today and get it done between other tasks. We have midwinter break this thur-monday so no school and hope to get scrapping done.

LINDY you are more than welcome to CHAT and NOT SCRAP, although by all means, CARDS count. WELCOME. Sorry to hear about your mom. Seems like many of my friends are dealing with ailing parents; guess it's that season in life. I"m hoping my mom continues to be healthy for a long time. I'd be thrilled over the top if she makes it into her mid-90's. She's 81 now and definitely of a healthier stock than I. I have no grandkids, despite my age. I had children late (twins at 44) so I still have 14 year old boys at home to entertain me. I am a single (divorced) mother and I have a chronic illness, so it can be a challenge, but they are the light of my life. I do have a great nephew who's almost 2, but he lives in TEXAS which is far away from me. He's a cutie though. I love that age range (1-3) they are so busy, and everything is new. How fun.

TONI I'm surprised you haven't experienced that much snow. When I went to grad school in CT we had over 8 feet of snow...it was all the way up to the 2nd story windows of our dorm. The campus had snow tunnels to get to/from buildings...it was very different.

Not sure what happened at J's but for you to resign, it must have been big. So sorry. Hope you find something better near to home quickly. Any news on the school job's stability?

TAMMY Mid-winter break (now a 4 day weekend instead of a week) is also this weekend. Their dad has the boys. I also saw that they made the 3 day Memorial Day weekend into a 4 day weekend, so he'll get that too. TUESDAY night (why is it always on Tuesdays-the night I have to pick up the boys from their dad's) The Middle School is having a HIGH SCHOOL night to tell us about the different choices. I so dread this process. I spend way too much time checking out schools and worrying about it. Hoping it all works out.

To put an image in the thread, right click on your opened image in the gallery, select properties, copy the url address, then in the thread click on the IMAGE (at the bottom) and paste your URL address in. Enter and voila.

Ok enough from me.

Dang it BARBARA the gallery is temporarily down, so all I get is the dreaded 502 Bad Gateway error when I tried to see your posted LOs. I'll come back later to comment on them. Wow, you got a lot done. Good for you!

I'm home.

Please let me know when it is. You didn't email me with the date so I could announce it. So if it's belated, we are sorry. Hope it was great!!!

Reminder, if your birthday comes before Monica gets the RAK list out, please let me know. I show no birthdays in Feb on the RAK list I have.

Praisemark finally! Why is it that when I have time to see layouts, this darned site goes down again. Seems like that is happening a lot lately.

Toni, I'm sorry that things are so bad a J's. I hope you can find something better. I'm happy that Meagan is learning. I'm sorry that she worried you. I think we all go through that with one or more of our children. We know they have their free agency, but wish they didn't sometimes. Hang in there. You are a great mom and they are lucky to have you.

Cathy, I'm enjoying the tips. Thanks for taking the time.

Lindy, welcome. My mom had Alzheimer's for the last 10 years of her life. Sometimes I would have gone insane without the kind women from this thread propping me up when I thought I couldn't go on. Hugs! to you from someone who totally understands.

Diana, I had to laugh at your snoring comment. DH used to snore SO MUCH! He has lost 60 lbs and no longer snores. It's amazing.

Theresa, I think your paint color looks nice. I love the contrast. I'm afraid of color on my walls. My DD says she'll come paint for me provided that the color isn't white. I haven't taken her up on it, but I may!

Tina, you know the old adage about fish and guests........both stink after 3 days. Enough said. You are a Saint!

I should have opened another window. I know there were other things I wanted to say, but my mind's mush.

Here are my latest pages. This is our oldest DGD.

Carols & Confections The first page is from Glitter Girl's last challenge.

I know how you feel NYLENE. I had trouble today trying to comment on LOs too as I kept getting that pesky 502 bad gateway error. Glad it's fixed now but they do seem to be having more and more trouble on this website. I'd thought with the overhaul (that not all of us are thrilled about) that some of these problems would have been taken care of but I guess they are separate issues.

Just watched last week's Grey's Anatomy. Forgot I hadn't seen it. Now I'm off to watch my soap...well in 1/2 hour. Have to wait til 12 EST. Just surfing the web to busy myself til I can access it.

Obviously that didn't work. I did what Debi said - right clicked on photo in the gallery, copied the URL, clicked on 'image' and pasted URL into message. What did I miss?

Anyway, I did upload one photo in the Gallery. That was easy!

I'm going to try again... Cathy McD

Why does it come up with an X?

Hi again Everyone!

I don't know why I couldn't get the link to my album to work, I'll have to figuer it out another time.

Debi - I hope your weekend without the boys is relaxing, not boring. Are you having fun with the card making contest? It's great that your 'sleeping arrangements' with your ex-dh work for you!

Welcome Lindy!

Toni - I'm sorry about your job. I hope you can find a better one soon. I'm glad Meagan is learning from her mistakes!

Theresa - I love the wall color! That's pretty much what I want in our new house (IF we ever get a new house). It looks wonderful! Are you happy with it, now that it's dry?

Barbara - it hurts me just to THINK about running 8 miles! When I was 19 and in ROTC, I had to run a mile and a half in under 12 minutes. I did it, but it nearly killed me. Never again! Good for you, for staying in such awesome shape!

Even though I'm a very organized person, I think I've mentioned before how much I HATE dealing with papers. Believe it or not, I'm finding it very helpful to have a group to be accountable to! I gave myself Sunday off, but today (it's still Monday for me since I haven't gone to bed yet) I did my 15 minutes of organizing and believe me, I did NOT want to! But now that I've gotten started in one drawer, I don't think it will seem so horrible tomorrow. This might actually work to help me FINALLY get a handle on all the boxes and drawers full of paperwork!

I also have done a lot of work on my pet album today. I spent hours sorting through photographs to find the ones I want to use. I still have HUNDREDS more to sort through, but I'm getting there! And I worked on the stories too and have several of them finished now.

Although I'm DYING to do some actual scrapping, I'm making myself get all this pre-work done first. There is going to be a weekend crop next month and I keep telling myself how wonderful it will be if I have everything ready and I can just SCRAP SCRAP SCRAP all weekend!

Just popping in to say hi. My days are hectic at the moment but had to catch up on chatter.

BBL to really communicate.

Hi Lindy!

Have a great day all.

I am with you, Michelle!!!
Hectic days and very little time to scrap or chat.
Today though - both kids in school and nothing on the agenda except a little laundry, exercise and then chatting and scrapping.
I am feeling so behind as we head into page four!

Happy Birthday to Sherri!!
And welcome to our newest member!
Is it Lindy?

web page

Cathy - are you trying to embed a photo within the post or just share a link to the album. Linking is working which I just tested here.
But if you are trying to just link it, you need to click URL and not image.

To put an image in, well let me make sure it works first.

Hmmm...can't get that to work.
So I can link right now, but not able to embed a photo in my post.

Interesting. It worked when I took the photo from my blog, but not from the two peas gallery. It should work if you have the image hosted somewhere else. Not sure why it's not working from 2p's gallery.

I was trying to embed the link, but I couldn't figure out how. I also couldn't embed the photo. Maybe because it's not working?

How do I just get a link to the photo?
