Good Morning Chatty Scrappers! I am finally caught up on praise, you ladies have been off to a good start this month. The layouts are finally loading in the gallery for me. They haven't loaded for months it was so frustrating when I wanted to browse for inspiration and made it difficult to keep up with praising.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHERRI!
Tammy So glad your hand is getting better.
Mary Jo Glad your kids are feeling better and back in school.
Michelle Nice seeing you stop by. My days have been pretty
crazy busy too.
Cathy I love the space bags, but I only use them for seasonal storage. My girls share a room so I store their off season clothes in them, I have to get all their off season clothes in two drawers and since my girls are so tiny they tend to fit in their clothes for a couple of years. Thanks for the zip lock bag tip for the "technology drawer" I put all our cables in them yesterday and labeled them, so nice not having a tangled mess of cables in the drawer anymore.
Toni Sorry you are having such a hard time at J's. Praying you find something closer and better.
Lindy Welcome! I take care of my mom who has dementia, if it wasn't for day care 5 days a week I would go crazy.
Theresa The paint looks great! My girlfriend tried to talk me into painting my walls grey. I considered it as I do love how it looks. My father in law just painted my laundry room for me, it turned out really nice it's a dark orange.
Monica Love your hair!
Well I should get off here, I'm going to a friends house to scrap Thursday and I need to figure out what I'm going to take and what photos I need to have printed. I went over there last Thursday and did 4 double page layouts but not having been prepared I still have to finish the titles and journaling and embellishing. Maybe this week I can do page kits and so I bring my Cameo, instead of all my paper maybe I could atcually complete some pages .
Have a wonderful day everyone! |

Thanks, Debi!
And Cathy, since 2p's was acting wonky for me, I just took my image from my blog. When I right click it, click on view image info under location. That URL ended in Jpeg. I think it's the 2p's that ends in 600. But it just wouldn't work today earlier for me. So maybe that is why you were having trouble. |

Hi ladies,
Hope everyone's week has started well. It's been pretty quiet up here!
I have both of the girls down for nap (LOVE when that happens!) and I'm gonna go upstairs to scrap after I take a shower. (yes, it's noon. but I took a zumba class during Julia's ballet class. )
I have a few more LOs that I posted. Not for any challenges...

Hi again
My girls are still down so I'm sneaking in another post or two.
TONI -- I sure hope you find something closer to home...even if the pay is the same, you could save on gas $, right? If it's really that bad at J's, I hope you find a way to get out of there! Hang in there. And I'm glad things are settling down with DD.
DEBI -- Loved some of the sentiments on your cards. Nice work. Looks like you ejoyed stepping out of your comfort zone!
SHERRI - I hope you're celebrating your bday. I still don't know when it is, but I hope it/was a very happy one!
CATHY -- good work getting through the papers. Have you started scrapping the furry loved ones yet??
TAMMY -- don't forget to fit wrist/hand exercise-therapy into that busy schedule. Good to see you up here.
VAL -- you travel with your Cameo?! I don't have one (yet) but I might be more motivated if I knew it traveled well. It seems like a very cool tool...though it also sounds like there's quite a learning curve. I go back and forth. I guess I'll keep saving my pennies.
I have a few more LOs I've finished. At this rate, I'm getting more than 1 per day done!! Of course, I am not sleeping enough, and the house is a mess, but it's a cycle. At least I'm getting in my 15 minutes every day!
This is the only one that has a challenge in it: The Magic of Friends
(The 2nd page has paper embossed. Explained more fully in LO description.)
KINDNESS - My OLW
KINDNESS - a plan for 2013
I hope to be scrapping and chatting again later this evening!

Hello all! Glad to see you all carrying on. In my scrappy life this week I am going through some albums and finishing pages that are missing journaling, or need just a little something extra. Lots of times I leave the layout when I get frustrated and wait for something that will "fit" it to be available later. I'm going through one of my heritage books now and I'm happy with the stuff I'm getting finished.
We had a bunch of snow over the weekend. Blew around a lot so the drifts are pretty crusty and the crust on the sidewalk was hard to shovel. Today it was pretty nice so a lot of it melted where it had been shoveled. We can use the moisture so I'm ok with it. The only bad thing was that school was cancelled on Monday so I didn't have my piano students either. Bad thing about that is that we are working on recital and that means one less practice. It will all be ok though.
I'm off to do some praising.

Melanie, I think it's great you finished up some lingering LOs. I have a couple like that. Nice to have them done.
Hey I was wrong...one of my cards (Happy Joy Joy) made it to the finals. If you want to vote for me (or someone's elses card if you like it better) you can

Good Morning Sweet Peas!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful day today. Life here is going just fine. My sister flies out today, she is headed to Salt Lake City to see her son before she goes back to Seattle. Dh is taking me out for dinner tonight for Valentine's Day. We usually go out the day before or after to avoid the crowds a bit.
Mallory has her first show choir competition on Saturday. Olivia is coming home on Friday night so that she can go watch her and then we are taking O back to college on Saturday, so it will be a quick visit. Mallory is nervous, but I'm sure that she'll do great.
I've had no time to do anything scrappy, I think I'm going to schedule to go to a weekend crop in March so that I can get some scrapping done, it's gotten to be really hard to find time since I've been working so much.
Anywho, I hope you all have a good day!

Good morning, One more full day of work then 1/2 a day tomorrow and DH and I are off to a wonderful mini vacation he plays gold all day Friday and Saturday and I have 2 full days of spa treatments, courtesy of Admiral Cove. They gave Stan and his friend this for all the work they do for the prestige club (the non profit)I can't wait.
Barb and Debi WOW you two have been busy scrapping, send some mojo my way.
Mel..Nice to see you.
Theresa.. I know what you mean about getting things done when you are off the computer.
Got to go start waking Natalie up and making breakfast for Stan, I don't know if I told y'all after his scare with the pulse in January he started seeing a nutritionist and so far he has lost 19 lbs. This week we added walking to the routine and all 4 of us are walking 1 1/2 miles to 2 1/2 miles.
have a wonderful day everyone. | |

Good morning,
Stuart just drove Julia to school for me and Charlotte started to cry as they left...so he took her too! A quiet moment for Mommy.
Tammy -- sorry if we over-worked that wrist.
Melanie -- so nice to see you!! When is your students' recital? That is very exciting. Can you squeeze extra practice in between now and performance date? Snow seems to be making life difficult for a lot of people right now!
Theresa -- I know what you mean about staying off the computer. It makes such a difference in how product you are IRL. As I think I mentioned yesterday, it's a cycle for me.
Tina -- how exciting for Mall!! Is she nervous?! Can't wait to hear how it goes. So sweet of Olivia to come home for that.
Diana -- soooooooo jealous of your spa plans!! Enjoy. Walking!! YAY!! And congrats to Stan on 19lbs! (It took me a YEAR to lose that much.)
Debi -- congrats on having one of your cards selected for the final round. How cool. I have to register. Then I can vote over the next couple of days.
I did do a LO last night. And V card for Stuart. We'll see what I can squeeze in today.
DH and I are celebrating Valentine's Day tonight. This is to avoid crowds (the same as Tina)but also because Valentine's Day, no matter how hard I try or how happy I am, always turns into a cry-fest for me. I think I've told you all this: when I was 16, my brother died on Valentine's Day. 28 years later I still end up crying my eyes out on the 14th of Feb.
This year I've invited friends over for dinner on V Day. Two little girls (4 and 2) and their Mom. Lots of shrieking girls should keep me from feeling too sad! I'm hoping we can make it lots of fun.
OK, I'm off to try to plan a kid's Valentine menu!

Hi again,
Do any of you shop here on 2Ps?? I have only ordered a couple of times (things that Scrapbook Territory won't carry). But I recently learned of the the 2Ps 'customer loyalty' changes, which includes the the fact that you earn points by POSTING on the forums here!
Did you all know this?! I think I'm gonna start breaking my longer posts in to multiple shorter ones!!
Seriously, though. Do you any of you shop on here? What is your experience with their service? Are the prices competitive??

Happy Wednesday..also known as anti-procrastination day, but somehow my brain hasn't incorporated that message as I'm sitting on the computer procrastinating. Haven't even done my 15 minutes of decluttering yet...but I will.
MELANIE it's hard to keep up with eveyrone's projects these days. We're all being so productive. Glad to see people scrapping.
THERESA you might be getting more done at home, but I miss you on-line so make sure you etch out a bit of time to come and chat.
TINA hooray for you to get your house back. Probably was nice to see your sister but that's a long time for a visit. I think you are quite smart to go out for a special dinner NOT on Valentine's day. It can get pretty darn busy at restaurants on that day. I will NOT be going out either, but then I don't have a Valentine to share dinner with and the boys will be heading to their dad's for a long weekend (mid-winter break). They are going skiing which will be fun for them. I bet Mallory is nervous, but she will be great. You have very talented kids in your family. So glad Olivia can come home to support her. I can't imagine how busy you are with your new job...must be daunting at times, but you are amazing at what you seem to be able to manage.
DIANA what fun. I can't even imagine how pampered you'll feel. Never been to a spa but it all sounds so relaxing. Enjoy. Way to go on the exercise and nutrition over haul. Kudos for Stan in losing 19 lbs. That's got to make a difference in how he feels and his health.
BARBARA how sweet of Stuart to take both girls so you have a few moments alone. Time for a hot shower, a cup of hot tea and maybe an uninterrupted breakfast. So sorry that 2/14 carries sad memories for you in the loss of your brother. Love encompasses all emotions. On the contrary, 2/14 carries happy memories for me as it was the day the boys came home from NICU and it's also their grandfather's birthday. Cry if you need to, but also enjoy the blessings you have (a loving husband and 2 sweet daughters). Are you going to decorate cookies with the little girls? You can get premade cookie dough and frosting and sprinkles. They'd love it, I'm sure.
I don't shop much anywhere, but have purchased digisupplies here. The loyalty program was recently revised to increase with a certain number of posts and gallery postings per month included as a way to increase points. It's been a bit bumpy getting started with getting lots of points, then having points reduced, but they are trying to get the bugs out. I'm all for earning points for participation but unlike you I never even think about posting more but shorter posts. I'm a creature of habit I guess. Long posts. Just post alot to make up. LOL
Ok that's all for me for now.

hey girls -
remember me??? LOL...just been a crazy week...test after test after test...these poor kids. Oh, yeah, and the projects. These poor kids, like I said.
just got home from J's...gave them a three page letter, LOL. Only one manager was here though. I told her if they needed me to come in tomorrow to talk (and defend her as she was the one that was working Sunday), I would. Unfortunately most of our managers don't get along too well, and that just makes it worse. I really don't want them to blame each other about me leaving though, and that was what I stated in the letter.
Anyway, what I did want to tell you though is that J's has a new line of BG out (and it goes on sale for 50% off on the 24th ) There are three paper pads and lots of embellies to go with them...all very cute I might add They also had some other papers that are new from DCWV and some Kathy Davis and Heidi Grace (I love her stuff!). I was excited when I saw it all! They also have some stuff clearanced, too, like some Spellbinders! The Large ones at that. I just thought those of you who shop at J's might be interested to know that there was some new stuff - finally!
Anyway, got to get ready for tomorrow.
love you all.
p.s. Barb - I shop at 2Ps...I've always received great service, and my order has always come within a week. I just got an order of some really cheap papers a few weeks ago (like .20 and .40 and .50 cents.)
usually I try for the free shipping, but as of late, I'm lucky to have even a little extra for any scrapping stuff
With having Monday off, I'm hoping I can get some scrapping in and some catching up on praise...you all are really putting them out there |

Hi Everyone!
Tammy - I hope your hand therapy goes well.
Mary Jo - thanks for all the tips about posting links. I'll try again, until I get it right!
Melanie - I hope the recital goes well, in spite of losing a rehersal.
Debi - congrats about your card making the first round!
Theresa - weren't computers supposed to give us MORE free time? But now I spend so much time on the computer, I hardly have time for anything else! It's an addiction...
Diana - good for Stan, losing so much weight! I hope you really enjoy your Spa vacation!
Toni - thanks for telling us about the sale at Js. I hardly ever go in the one near me because I thought it was just fabric. I've never even seen their crafts department - I'll have to go take a look!
Barbara - Did you enjoy your Valentine's dinner? I'm so sorry about your brother, I hope having friends over helps make it less painful this year.
We are all dug out from the snow. I mean, there's PLENTY on the ground, but our driveway is plowed and the streets are clear. We are fine - until we get more!
I am constantly working on my pet album but I haven't been doing any actual scrapping. I've been writing up the story of each pet and sorting through HUNDREDS of photos to find the ones I want to put into the album. I've also been buying every pet-themed embellishment I can get my hands on! I still need MORE, though. Do any of you know where I can get pet/animal themed embellishments? I've bought everything they have at Walmart, AC Moore and Michaels...
My hope is that I can get everything I need for my pet album all together by Mar. 22, when we are having a weekend crop nearby. Then I can just have the FUN of scrapping all weekend!
I did my 15 minutes of paperwork! I wonder how many 15 minute sessions it will take me to get through this ONE drawer?
Mark and I are going to a very elegant restaurant for Valentine's. I'm really looking forward to it.
Take care! Cathy McD |

Hi- thanks for the welcome!
I haven't checked back because my DH and I were in a car accident yesterday afternoon. We were heading toSacramento, but we were on 80/580near Emeryville. It was a 8 or 9 car accident.we got hit 3 times.a truck driver lost control ( he told the Chp that he was reaching down for a water bottle)
Anyway I have a whip lash and I'm going tobe checked out tomorrow.
We took our other car to Sacto last night so DH could play in his bridge tournament.
Good thing there is a Kaiser facility about 2 blocks from our hotel!
Our car - well it's in the body shop- but who knows? It's a 2 yr old Volvo sedan. Lots of damage.
It feels wierd to see this post on my iPad. Helps me get my feet back on the ground.
We had our grandsons car seat installed in the back seat, and I understand that we will have to replace it whether or not he was in it. Does anyone know about this?

Theresa - That sounds serious. Hope everything works out for you.
Lindy - Oh no! Hope you both are all right even with the whiplash. It is traumatic when something like that happens. Take care of yourself and a little pampering is in order.
Diana - Speaking of pampering... I'll come take over if you get bored with all the attention
Barbara - (((hugs))) for today. The anniversary of a loved one's passing is very hard, no matter how long it has been.
My brother gets here from London tomorrow and we are putting my Mom's ashes in the sea on Sunday. It has been 7 months since she passed and it is the first time he has been able to get out here. It's going to be a difficult day...
I've been running around this past week with a new employee - Amanda, my assistent, had to stop working due to a stroke. It has been a difficult week. Sean also surprised me by having to increase his Ritalin dosage. He took two tabs last week by accident but was so happy with how his concentration improved that he wanted to take two all week. I spoke to his doc and she said to try the higher dosage for a while. He seems to be coping well and the volume of incomplete work coming home to finish has dropped dramatically. But now he is scarcly eating anything... I do love the fact that he, for the first time, told me how the meds are affecting him and it does seem to be helping at school. Makes me a feel a little guilty for always trying to reduce his dosage and now he is doing so well on a higher one.
Happy Valentine's Day!!! |

Ok I started to read the posts, then realized if I didn't open a new window I'd never remember what I wanted to comment on.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE
Looking dreary, gray and like it's going to rain outside. That's ok because I don't have to go out in it (well not for a couple hours) when I pick up the boys and take them over to a friend's house for the afternoon. They get out 3 hrs early today (1/2 day state furlough day for teachers). Then they go to their dad's at 5:30 p.m. Don't know if I'll do anything for V-Day or not yet.
CATHY that's quite an accomplishment to be "dug out" from the snow. I understand there is a threat of more snow coming. Hope you stay warm. Time to use that crockpot or make some good steaming hot soup. Noah, my son, and I made a big pot of chicken curry (goes over rice) last night. So I have some yummy stuff to munch on over the weekend.
That Pet Album sounds like it's going to be huge. But what fun to work on.
Still "digging out" from the pile of paperwork too...worse than snow as it doesn't melt on its own if left unattended. LOL
Have fun at the restaurant tonight. How fun to do a fancy evening out.
LINDY so sorry about the car accident. Glad you weren't more seriously injured, but whiplash can be bothersome. I don't know about the car seat. I've never understood "why" you need to replace it, especially if no one was in it at the time of accident as no brunt force would be applied to the carseat resulting in potential damage.
THERESA my goodeness girl, what have you've been accused of now? This office has been nothing but trouble for you since Baby Doc came aboard and it looked so promising after your last job. Hope you get it all straightened out. So sorry you are having to deal with chaos when you don't feel well. Hang in there. You are an amazing woman.
DIANA enjoy your mini vacation. I'll take a steamy bubble bath in your honor. LOL
MICHELLE hugs to you as you let your Mom's ashes go. It seems like a natural thing to do and so glad you brother can finally be with you to partake in this final ritual.
Maybe it was meant to happen, the accidental double dosing. Glad it is helping Sean and that he can see and articulate the difference. I know when Owen got glasses, he resisted, but after wearing them awhile, he accidently left them at home and he was surprised at how much his glasses helped him that he never has resisted wearing them again. That reminds me I need to set up an eye appointment for him to have his prescription checked.
Ok, caught up on PRAISE.
Have a lovely day.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Toni- was that 3 page letter your resignation? Are you done at J's??
Theresa- thinking of you. ((HUG))I agree with Debi...I wasn't around for your last job, but this one has been quite brutal to you.
Michelle- That is amazing that Sean could tell you how the meds affect him.! It must be intimidating to double the dosage, and see his appetite diminish. But if he communicates as well as it sounds, you can explain the need for calories...he'll get it. Good luck.
LINDY?! Is that YOU?! I'm sending pMail.
Cathy - can't wait to hear about your lovely dinner.
I have to brag a little about Stuart (DH). Our regular Wednesday baby sitter came 2 hours early yesterday. Stuart planned a whole afternoon & evening! First: a 90 minute massage. Then: dinner at my favorite restaurant in this county. It's a little fancy, yummy food and great wine list. But when asked if we wanted the wine list, Stuart said to me: "Only one glass." ??!!@# That's highly unusual for him. Turns out, the reason was that we were going to an ARCHERY lesson!! It was sooooooo fun. And for our first lesson, we both did very well. I actually hit the paper plate/target consistently by the end of the lesson. It was a great night. I am a lucky girl.
Today is not so bad. I had a brief moment of sadness but it passed quickly and now I'm just hanging out with my DDs. We need to grocery shop for our special dinner tonight but other than that we can just play.
If everyone naps, maybe I can scrap. |

I am sorry I haven't come back. I am in the middle of starting teaching papercrafting classes online and at home. It is taking me lots of time getting everything organized, specially the blog/website... those html codes are killing me.
But, I wanted to come and say: Happy Valentines Day!!!! You are and always will be my first and very special online scrappy friends!!! |

Diana, have a wonderful time. Congrats to Stan on the weight loss. It's a long hard battle!
Lindy, I am so sorry about your accident. I know exactly where you were because my DD lives nearby and her DH works at Pixar in Emeryville. What a terrible experience. I believe the "rules" say that a carseat in a serious accident needs to be replaced. I would check your CA carseat regulations.
Hope the neck feels better soon.
Melanie, good luck on the recital. Sorry the kids get one less practice session. They'll have to work hard at home.
Debi, I tried to register to vote for you card last night and it wouldn't let me in. Is it connected to Facebook? I'll try again later.
Theresa, I am so sorry that things are bad at work again. Prayers being said for you and Randy for recovery and better work relations. Maybe that is not the place for you right now. It seems that there is a lot of drama there. Hugs! along with the prayers. Wish I could hand you a big pan of homemade chicken noodle soup I made today.
Tina, good wishes and prayers for Mal on her competition. How nice of Olivia to come home to add moral support.
Tina, sorry things are bad at J's. Will they beg you to come back? I know it's been a hard place to work because of the personalities of some of your managers. Sending prayers and hugs.
Barbara, hugs to you on this emotional day! Hope you have great dinner.
So glad you had a fun archery lesson. What a great husband you have...and what a great wife he has.
Michelle, sounds like Sean's meds are really helping. Hope that it continues. Hugs to you as you scatter your mom's ashes. That will be emotional.
Cathy, glad you are "dug out". We are having storms every day but they aren't dropping more than a couple of inches. There are still big piles in the streets.
Tere! We miss you. Good luck with your new adventure in teaching! You'll be a wonderful teacher.
I need to run. Hope you all have a great V-Day.
Theresa, please let us know how you are doing.

Your prayers worked, much better day. My head hurts more than anything else and the colors on this site really are hard even after changing them. Randy is sneezing his head off and his nose is running full speed. Mine is just a cough and body aches and the horrid headache. I think my headache is probably partial virus and partial stress.
As for work, it's not my coworkers this time, it's my manager. He's over extended his budget by hiring too many people and it's looking like the easiest way to save money is to not have to pay an RN. Doc said he wants me there and I'm hoping that with that and the fact that I work harder than anyone there (not bragging, it's true) will be enough. Looks like my hours are going to be cut drastically though over the next few months because both docs have to use vacation time and the manager has decided that if they're not there I can't be there either so it's looking like several weeks I'll only get to work 2 or 3 days instead of 5. We had an argument about it last week because he said my job wasn't necessary and asked me to "justify it" because there was no reason the techs couldn't do everything that I do. They can't! He doesn't see the whole picture sometimes. If I'm not there they're going to have to call the doctor at home (or on vacation) and ask him about every call that comes in. Oh Yeah, that'll go over well!!! Anyway, Monday (the next day after the argument that I worked) I wrote down a quick blurb (one line) about everything that I did, every call from the hospital, nsg home, patient, everything I did in the office, etc. It was a slow day and I completely filled two legal size pages. He acted like it made him mad. I can't win. If I didn't like Doc so much I'd leave. Of course, I also really don't want to have to go back to the hospital environment and be around sick people all the time and I certainly don't want to go back to night shift. Really hoping for a winning lottery ticket!
I did read everything before I posted this but my darn head is so fuzzy I can't remember a think I read. I'll go back and read it tomorrow. HAVE to get off here now. I would have gone to the Madisonville clinic tomorrow but Doc is leaving for London (so jealous) so since the manager said I wouldn't have been there anyway I can stay home. No arguing, driving over 1 hour each way to work 4 hours isn't worth it anyway.

morning girls -
can't chat for long, but wanted to just pop in and say hi.
Theresa - my heart goes out to you...it sucks when your job sucks and you have to fight everyone there about it. wishing you lots of luck with it. I also understand you're not wanting to be on the computer a lot. It certainly can suck you in. So do the games on my phone .
Tina - how exciting for Mallory. That's so sweet of Olivia to come home for it, too. I sure do miss you on here but totally understand how busy you are. I hope this job is all that you hoped it would be.
Lindy - I'm so sorry about the accident. My DH had a very bad one in the 1980's and we're pretty sure that the problems he has with his neck and arm are from that. I don't know about replacing the baby's car seat; I had never heard of that. I hope it all turns out ok for you.
Tere - so good to see you. Hope everything is going well. Good for you teaching classes!
Barb - yes, the three page letter was my resignation. I'm still there but only for the two weeks. Yes, they've tried to get me to stay...but I haven't talked to the store manager yet because he was gone through this. I wrote the letter because he is really upset about me leaving, as is Jillian (the manager that was there on Sunday), and they're all blaming one another. I'm not sure how Linda and Jessica feel about it, truthfully. I'm pretty sure I work with Linda tonight, but it may be Jessica. We'll see if they say anything...I do know everyone there knows about it though. They are all trying to sack Jillian with the blame for everything, which is just sad. I think she's finally come to the realization of that. That store could be wonderful, but it's the company's policies that are bringing it down, not the employees. We've got and had some great employees, but one could only take so much. And if the store manager doesn't like you, your hours are cut so much that you need to find another job to survive. Anyway, gas has risen here again, and thirty minutes to and from would be killing me anyway. On another note, how wonderful of your DH to take the girls out and give you some time I'm so sorry about V-Day being such a sad day for you. It is hard when something like that happens on a holiday. I totally understand your heartache there.
Anyway, I'm going to try to get to school early to help a kid finish his reading project...I'm so over all this testing, and projects, it's not even funny. Of course so are all the other teachers and assistants too.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day. |

Feel better than I did yesterday. Was able to drink a cup of coffee and eat a muffin. Can't say that I could taste either one but at least I didn't have to force it down. Randy tried to go in to work but they sent him home. The headache is the worst.
Toni, totally understand the reason you're leaving. My manager doesn't understand the extra cost of traveling that far either. He lives 5 minutes from work. Yes, we both knew how far we lived when we took the job but we were both told we'd have more hours to justify the travel expense. Can't work where it costs more to get there than you get to take home.
Tina, hurray for getting your house back and double hurray for getting to spend the weekend with the whole family. Good luck to Mal.
Diana, don't have to tell you to have fun this weekend!
Barb, you're just too sweet so glad you DH pampered you a bit! As to shopping on 2P's. I haven't much. I read the rules of the customer loyalty and it seems to me you'd have to buy a lot to get any discount at all but I may have read it wrong. But then again, any discount is a good one!
Lindy, glad you weren't hurt more seriously in the car accident. I think you do have to get a new seat but your car insurance should cover it. Doubt anything is wrong with the one you have though. You could take it to the local police/fire department and have them check it out. They offer that service at most stations, even show parents how to use them correctly.
Michelle, hurray for Sean doing so well with his Ritalin. Sounds like a God thing instead of an accident to me. Also so glad you'll get to see your brother this weekend and I'll say extra prayers for your family. Spreading the ashes may actually be very beneficial for both of you because you've been dreading it for so long. It's a way to let go.
Cathy, still think you need to just come down to Kentucky and declutter us. You'd be in Heaven!
Okay, praised through page 2 (didn't realize I was so behind!). My head can't take anymore so I'm shutting it down.

Not sure where everyone went today!
Don't know if I mentioned it or not but Greenville is in the running for a contest at Budget Travel for America's Coolest Small Town.
Two hours left in the contest and we've just edged Gulf Shores, Alabama for the #4 spot. Since I don't know if any of you will be back online in time to vote here's a link to the video that the city submitted so you can learn a little about
Greenville.
If you do come online in time here's the

Hi all,
So glad it's Friday. Not for me so much as for Stuart. He's been at work until after 5 (he gets there before 7 am) 4 days this week and he is soooo tired! I cooked dinner. Made sure the house was clean. Younger DD in bed asleep. Older DD clean and quiet. Straight out of the 50s around here this evening...so daddy can relax after a long, hard week!
Theresa -- I voted! Good luck, Greenville!! I hope you're feeling a little better. Your manager sounds difficult, to put it mildly! He asked you to justify your position, then got angry when you did what he asked?! Immature? Insecure because his poor budgeting caused a problem? I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that. Are you looking elsewhere? (is appropriate to even be discussing up here?)
Nylene -- how are you? you seem busy...even though you're checking in with us all the time, you're not mentioning how you're doing? and DH (Steve, right?)? how is he??
Toni -- On to greener pastures! Good for you. I hope you find something wonderful, soon.
Tina -- have a wonderful weekend! Good luck to Mal.
Michelle -- I hope this weekend brings peace and that having your brother there helps. Giant hugs!!
Diana -- well, which of us doesn't want to be YOU right now?! << that's me GREEN with envy, not sick!!
OK, off to sit quietly on the couch while Daddy reads to his older daughter (who's an hour past her bed time!!). Maybe I'll scrap!
Have a great weekend, all!

I combined the color challenge with one of the sketches to make a digi layout of my nephew and his girlfriend on
Valentine's Day 2013
Barb, think I'm really not going to have any choice but to look for a new job because Randy still can't seem to buy the winning lottery ticket. Not going to cut my nose off to spite my face but I'm going to keep my eyes and ears open. I can't keep going in, working my butt off and not feeling like it matters to management.
My head doesn't hurt that much now and I've actually been hungry this evening. Can't taste anything yet but it's a start. Eyes still tearing and still have a cough and occasional sneeze but I think I'm on the mend. Randy has slept most of the day but says he is going to work tomorrow. We're both thinking that we'll be better by morning. We live in a dream world! |

Hi- thanks again for the well wishes. I'm still hurting but maybe a bit better.
When we get back to the Bay Area, we will ask about the car seat. We will need to get a rental while the car is repaired, or we have to get a new one ( depending on the $$damages)
We can ask about the car insurance covering a new cars eat.

Morning all,
I've been up since 5 am. DH snoring and I could not get back to sleep. Got up and did a LO. I'll post later.
We're trying to figure out what to do today...need some sort of family activity and neither adult is motivated. If we didn't have these two DDs, we'd be parked on the couch I'm sure. We're both tired!
Lindy--glad you're starting to feel better. Remember that most of the damage from those sorts of accidents is *long term*. Be sure you (and yoru medical expenses) are taken care of accordingly!
Are you still in Sac? Is your daughter still in Santa Cruz? (and therefore your grandson, I presume?)

Good morning all, just doing a quick Sunday morning run thru. I have a ton of stuff to get done this morning including finishing my Spanish homework and studying for my Spanish test that I have this Thursday.
Toni & Theresa- so sorry that you are having such a difficult time at work. I hope and pray that you both find jobs that you enjoy and that the people you work for appreciate the job that you do for them.
Barb- Sounds like a really fun Valentines date, My DH and I just ended up taking DD with us to dinner, it was a lot of fun.
Tammy- glad you are finally getting to start therapy on your hand. I think it is really nice that your DD stays in touch with her bio grandparents you don't see that very often.
Debi- I hope that you got the back up situation figured out, that is really cool that your boys made cards for you for V-day.
Well need to run gotta work on my homework before church. I might stop by later but I do read all the chatter every morning so I can keep up with you all.

Well, girls, for once I have some layouts to post and the site won't let me. Grrr. Maybe later.
I'm fighting a little cold. I don't LIKE it! I have too much to do and no energy to do it. Lots going on later in the week too. I feel bad because I'm not being a help to Greg when he needs me to be. He says he will get me back later which is probably true.
I'll be back later to try again. Think I'll get a nap instead. |
