Well dang, I'm disappointed with my Michaels. They had tons of clearance throughout the whole store, but it wasn't any extra % off. Only a few items at the front entrance were 70% and 90% off. Some of you had really good luck!! | |

So, I have been on a self-imposed spending 'soft-freeze'; 90% made me have to look & I was right there today. I got a bunch of the dittos stuff for .20 each, couple mists, chipboard & resist shapes, stamps & a couple pieces of gold stitched paper & purple glitter paper for $3. So, I was encouraged to try another m's tonight after dropping DH off at work...They were at 70% for alot of there stuff, some of the same stuff I got for 90% earlier in the day but I did get a gold paint pen for wood for .15, a rubber stamp for .60 & some recollections blue glitter stars tape & the green smash roller date stamp for .30.
So, nothing great but for $5, I got some new stuff that I will use & don't feel at all guilty about it.

I didn't get much... a couple glitter tapes, a stamp set of potty people, a tree of hearts stamp... but for under $3... I guess it's ok.
I really really would like to get some of those storage items,may have to go back and check and see if they are on sale. |

I knew I shouldn't even bother, but I stopped at mine. Zero, zilch, zippo, as I expected. In fact, I noticed a stack I bought this summer on clearance has been replenished and is now full price, $20. Prices are going up not down over here! |

Mine was the same way. There were a ton of nice stamps and stuff that other people say they are getting but there was no other percentage off from those sales. | |

I went to mine today and it was very picked over. But I did manage to get a cute hero arts sentiments stamp set for $.06 and found 1 6x6 Christmas MME pad and several of the breeze and moment pads for $.01 each. |

Really bummed with mine. They had one shelving unit right up front with clearance but it was all junk and nothing I would ever use. Had to get a bunch of stuff for a baby shower I'm hosting next weekend and man did it hurt to see that price ring up as high as it did! |

I have several in my area and went to about 4 .. I got amazing deals at the first one, things were ringing up 39 cents and then the cashier took another 90% .. Probably the wrong way of doing it, but I wasn't complaining. I ended up spending $2.81, probably the least amount of money I have ever spent there and got a ton of stamps and other items. Each store I went to had a different way of doing things, so it was a little weird. Some rang up additional 70 off even the stuff that said clearance in the aisles, others didn't. I can't complain though, I got some great deals. I am half tempted to go one more time today, but I am not sure i really should.. I think enough is enough at this point

After seeing this thread at work yesterday I stopped on the way home, even tho I KNEW better. Sure enough, one of their shelves was 90% off & the stuff should've gone to the dumpster. I asked the clerk about items on shelf that were clearanced b/c they had a fiskars stamp thing for $7.
She called & was told only front stuff - I walked out w/nothing. Started to go check other the others closeby, but decided to save the gas & frustration.

It means they should've been pulled from the floor but they weren't. Some people have it go through and others are told they can't sell it to them.
I think the 1c is used for inventory tracking purposes that's reported as unsold/destroyed.
Kind of like the 'stripped book' warning you see inside paperbacks.
I could be wrong but that's my guess. I do know that it's not supposed to be sold for 1c. |

The cashier at my M's had to go through and manually take the 90% off some of the items because just the price on the hanger thing in the aisle was red-tagged. Other stuff just rang up 90% off..
If you're talking about the yellow/red clearance tag that they stick over the white original price tags - it probably meant it wasn't supposed to be included. 'Red sticker' items that rang up had a solid red sticker on them. Though there were some with THAT sticker that did not ring up with the extra off. But I don't think just any clearance sticker was supposed to apply. |

I went to my Michaels today while I was out. Major disappointment. The only stuff that was an extra 90% off was the stuff at the front of the store, and it was all junk. I've seen better at yard sales in the free boxes. This stuff really just needed to be tossed. So glad some of you are getting great deals. Wish ours was doing all clearance on sale. | |

At my Ms, the MME Breeze and Moments 6x6 pads were .01, otherwise, clearance was mostly beads, flowers, and some Halloween stickers. | |

Went over to my local store and they only had junk. As some others have said, the 70 and 90% was only for certain bins at the front of the store and other clearance on the raks was only as marked.
Same here! I got one stamp set from the bin for 39 cents. I brought a bunch of stuff to the front and was told if the item had a permanent home, it was just the clearance price but the front of the store bins were additional 90% off.
Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to check it out next time I get one of those emails though. Glad some of you got some great deals! | |

I tried to get the magazine holders like posted above... that lady laughed at me! She said they are discontinued, but still "active" at my store, therefore regular price  ...and all of a sudden there are NO plastic storage items carried in my store anymore  |

The Michaels I went to (outside Seattle, Alderwood Mall location) did not seem to have much. Couldn't find the magazine holder. However....the Tombow Stamp Runner dot adhesive runners were 0.49 cents  I'm a recent user of these thanks to Jennifer McGuire's recommendation. I had one in my cart and when I realized they were 0.49 I ran back and grabbed the rest! | |

My M's had tons of stuff on clearance in the aisles, but nothing additional taken off at the front. The 90% off areas were junk  I still picked up 3 packages of AC stamp markers because they were marked down to 4.99 (which, in Canada, is cheap) and I like using them on my roller stamps. |

I drive an hour and visited Michael's today. The 90% off stuff was non existent or left over junk. That being said I picked up 5 sets of recollections cling rubber stamps for 2.99. There were lots of empty pegs for 1.49 stamp sets. No paper on sale really. Lots of stickers on sale. | |

Stopped in today and they had several signs that said that clearance items with red stickers or blue stickers were 90% off the lowest price. There were lots of items that were on clearance without any stickers but I picked out some that had red stickers. (Didn't see any blue) When I got to the register, none of them were 90% off. The cashier said that these stickers were red and white not solid red. Yet, they had the 90% off signs on posts in the aisles with arrow leading you to all this stuff that all had these red and white stickers. So, I told the cashier that this was very misleading and I walked out. I'm so done with Michaels. It looks like everything is being cleared out for Recollections stuff. | |

I don't think that cashier knew what the hell she was talking about. It's solid red stickers. I did find an item that had the blue sticker - it was a box of wedding invites. I think it's over a red sticker but the signs have shown both red and blue had the same percentage off.  |

I went today, just to check it out. There was one tiny display in the front with a small basket of yudu inks and that's it. Guessing by the size of the rack for the display, there wasn't much to begin with( it was at 70% off). My Michael's doesn't tend to have a stellar selection or amazing sales. | |

I went to M's. Found a few things that were on clearance. They didn't honor it. Said if it didn't have a pink sticker it wasn't included in the 90% off.
