Glossy Accents by far. Just started using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid as well, but haven't used it enough to really be able to comment. Glossy Accents on the other hand - I've gone through SEVERAL bottles of that stuff. Love it!

|Posted: 2/1/2013 8:22:14 AM|Glossy accents! I have been through many bottles. The stuff is amazing; however, it will show through ribbon so you will want to use something else or just "tack" it with glue in places that are under things.

I use scotch quick dry also. But that's paper to paper. (sometimes it dries too fast though!)
for ribbon, I use glue dots or lines. I put a piece down every few inches. I only use liquid glue on the back side sometimes because it's not going to be seen.
I don't use veneers so I can't tell you what I would use.

|Posted: 2/1/2013 9:09:45 AM|I have heard that Tombnow Mono Multi Liquid Glue is pretty good and was planning on to tring that in the future. Right now I'm still using my Zig Glue Pen for my wood veneers and that works perfectly!

My favorites are Glossy Accents and Tombow Mono Multi glue too. I might try some of the other suggestions on here so thanks!
What can I post about?
|Posted: 2/1/2013 9:26:31 AM|
I like Glossy Accents. I use it on cards a lot and that stuff doesn't go anywhere! I does take some time to dry though and if it squeezes out around the edges it is glossy.
The Tombow mono multi is a two way glue so if it squeezes out around the edges, those bits remain sticky. That bugs me so I don't use it quite as often.
I also like Claudine Helmuth's Matte Multi by Ranger - it dries matte.

Normally I would have said Glossy Accents, it's such a great adhesive. But, after having so many issues and having to throw away half full bottles because they became impossible to use I've switched. Scotch Quick Dry all the way! I had forgotten about a bottle for years, yes years, and it still worked like it was brand new. Love that stuff!

I love both Scotch Quick Dry and Glossy Accents, and have used both on wood veneers.

for the sorts of things you listed, I would use Fabri-Tac. it's tagline is 'like hot glue without the glue gun' and I agree. It's great for ribbon, because it doesn't soak through, so you don't see it at all. I use it for ribbon, buttons, stuff like that.
It's a bit expensive, but I think it's worth it- you don't need much, and the container lasts a looong time.
If I have other stuff that requires liquid glue (say, a delicate punched shape from cardstock or regular paper, etc.) then my preferred liquid glue is Elmer's school glue, lol!
ETA: if you get Fabri-tac somewhere that you don't want it, it will dry and get all 'boogery' (like the glue that comes on junk mail, if you know what I mean- lol!) so you can 'roll it up' and remove the excess.

Beacon 3-in-1 advanced glue.
Funny story: At GASC one year, my friend and I were strolling through a vendor booth, when I spotted a bottle of the stuff. I said rather snarkily to my friend, "Oh, look, it's ADVANCED glue, not the remedial kind." Well, the vendor overheard me, and did a quick sales pitch, saying she used it for EVERYTHING from photos to embellishments, etc. etc. I wound up buying a bottle of the stuff and have been through 2 or 3 since then. A little dab'll do ya, so it lasts a long time. And it doesn't dry out in the bottle like Zip Dry has done on me in the past.

|Posted: 2/2/2013 7:57:07 AM|Love Tombow, but had issues with it drying up inside the bottle?
So I used Scotch Quick dry to *refill* the tombow applicator (it's a fabulous double-tipped thing) and I *love* it...great adhesive, economical because it comes in the bigger bottle which I then use for refills
Glossy accents isn't as quick to grab, and if you make a mistake in placement it's, well, glossy

Beacon 3-in-1. Gives you about 5 seconds of play time, and then grabs firm and forever. If you get a bit of overflow on your paper or project you can rub it right off.
