Snowy wet Thursday, here in Ohio....schools are delayed and traffic is slow down on the main highway.

Cindy, while I did not personally know your friend,Patti,I have been fond of her digital skills and products for some time. My condolences and thoughts go to her and her loved ones.

Debi,I too have RA,onset dx in my late 30's,much like my Mother's age. It is not a fun illness by any means, mine is usually uncontrolled due to allergies to steroids and most injections that my Dr's have tried, cause severe side effects. It is my constant companion and there are good days and bad days. It sounds like you have a positive attitude and that is key.

Nylene, did my cyber soup and ginger ale help? I am told that spring is coming and maybe that will help. Hope you are better.

Knutschen,Sylvester has also been confused lately, since I changed where his food is stored. He comes in and runs to that place, only to find that I have re-located his goodies. They are such characters with so much personality, aren't they.

Hello Kelly, glad you are better. How is that great CA weather? I am severely envious,in case you didn't know, lol

Oh, and Debi, Soon Come is a goodbye in Jamaica. They rarely say so long,or good-bye,but soon come. They also do not say, I am done... they say I am finished. When I am done is used, they look at you rather funny and appear confused.

Well, must appear to be busy for a short time.... Soon come pam

Thanks PAM for the explanation of "SOON COME". It's interesting how different languages really reflect different ways of thinking, isn't it? I know with Japanese vs English there is lots of conflict in expressions especially related to age, sex and status. Sometimes it is hard to translate from English to Japanese because the phrase isn't directly translatable.

PAM I was diagnosed with RA when I was 19 following a simple accident where I pulled a back muscle at work (I worked in the cafeteria at college) and ended up having my jaw lock and hands and feet swell. It's been a difficult and long (40 years)battle with it. Like you, I couldn't take most of the meds available at the time due to negative reactions or sometimes no response to them. I ended up on aspirin therapy (16+/day for nearly 20 years) to help deal with the pain from inflamation (but didn't stop progression) because the next option was drugs that crossed the placenta and would prevent me from having kids. I've wanted children since I was a child. My wish came true when I had twins at 44. In the last few years I've been on Enbrel which has worked (so-so to very well), better in the beginning. But it does suppress the immune system and that has issues related to it too. I have it in all my joints and sometimes I can be completely immobilized especially if I'm off meds for any reason. The physical challenges have definitely impacted not only my choices of activities and jobs, but it proved too hard for the men I had tried to share my life. People often say "I'm so courageous to deal with this illness" but courage has nothing to do with it. It is simply a "what is". I don't have a choice to NOT deal with it. Although to be RA free is my dream. I have my ups and downs, but I try to stay as positive as I can.

I am sorry to hear of Patti's passing. Losing a cherished scrapbooking friend is always hard. Prayers for her family.

Hug those you cherish today.
Debi

Hope everyone is enjoying your day. I have the scrappin bug bad and I don't have any pics to scrap! I watercolor painted some paper lately and not sure what I to do. Plus after watching some of these Two Peas challenge is getting me all excited. Have you all seen some of this weeks challenges? I really like the the "Scrap Your Stash" using glitter and Glitter Girls using journal cards as embellies. So we will see what will happen!

So glad you all liked my envelope lo. I just love how it turned out. Also, I loved taking my brown letters and changing them black with my embossing powder. So cool!

Pam- Oh, I wish I could send you some of this warm Cali sunshine. It has been so beautiful lately. It totally feels like Spring. I'll enjoy it for you today.

Debi- Wow, you are really amazing! After learning more about your RA you have accomplished so much. Twins at 44 is so terrific! Go girl!

Cindy- So sad to hear about the loss of your teacher. But I know her memory will live on through you and all the crafters inspired by her. Hang in there sis!

Nylene- Are you eating lots of hot tea and soup? We are sending it to you and hope you feel better soon.

Jana- LOL! I hope you get some sleep finally.

Jen- Still keeping you in my prayers.

I tried to post a LO to the gallery but guess we're hitting that weekend server issues early. Couldn't load it so will try again tomorrow.

Kids have invited a friend overnight Saturday so guess I'll ramp up my 15 minutes of decluttering and do a little crisis cleaning tomorrow so the kid won't report what a mess my house is...of course this is my boys' OCD friend who is uberly tidy...LOL oh well. WHat gets done gets done.

The LO I did was done for a speed scrap (usually you have an hour where you get instructions every 10 minutes and then an hour to finish your page) but dingbat me forgot the time difference and came in with only 30 minutes left so I really had to hustle. No time to wrangle over selection of product, just went with the first that fit my criteria in my head ...I think it came out decently. I usually like a little more time to fuss but at least I got another page done. I'll post it as soon as the gallery cooperates.

Debi

Hello Everyone - I hope everyone feels they had a successful scrapping February. I feel pretty good about my accomplishments, and I am ready to begin March with the same enthusiasm. Time to order some more prints again. I have some pages done and now have to get the prints to put on them so I can call them complete. We will be getting the RV out of backyard storage this weekend and I will start loading him (his name is GROVER) hubby has to put new shocks on and perform a full service, check to see if we need new tires etc.., but I get do to the fun stuff LOAD. I can't wait. Our first weekend trip will be the last weekend in March. I have been getting some page kits together (actually the ones to finish last years RVing book) and design my layout for this years travels.

Nylene - I hope you are feeling better
Debi - Can't wait to see your page - where do you do the speed scrap?
Kelly, Pam, Jana, Jen, Cindy, Valerie, Anne, - and I don't have my list here at work so I know I forgot some of you - but hoping you all have a wonderful day.

Good Friday morning to one & all! TGIF!!!! I am going to scrap today! I am very behind on all of my scrapping. I started my PL but then it stalled so I am going to go back to doing that and hopefully do better at documenting our lives! Have some pics printed, and I have over 100 to edit from Becky's party. I think I will make her a special album of her birthday!!!
I am also going to take a couple pics today of an afghan I made about 15 years ago for my mom. I have it now since she passed 6 years ago.

Maribeth-sounds like you have things rolling along! You did get alot of scrapping done this month and you should feel very good about it! Wonderfu;l work GF!!!!

Nylene-hope you are feeling better. Bob is doing better this morning but he is still kind of weak from the entire ordeal.

Waving a big hello to one and all and will BBL!

WOW we made 5 pages again this month!!!! The Pokey Peas are AWESOME!!!!!!

Hugs, Cindy

Hello, here in Ohio, birds are eating and singing, what else could you ask for!!

Finishing up last minute details for girlfriend club at 1300 today. Mostly finished, still working on details, then will get my shower and say if it isn't finished,it probably won't be.

Plans later to luxuriate in scrapping time and enjoy the evening.I am so set in my ways,I worry myself sometimes, lol.

Kelly, sounds like you are busy with challenges... I like them, gets you thinking and expanding. I participate in a 30 min one from time to time, but I do not have my groove yet after several attempts.I need to try harder!!

Here's hoping smiles for everyone today and warm thoughts!!

Soon Come pam
